"I have the ear shape where in-ear headphones always make a loud bumping sound when I'm moving, so AirPods 4 give the benefits of noise cancelling and great sound without the in-ear effect. ... AirPods 3 always fell out my left ear but they dialed in the size perfect for the 4's, they sit perfect and I've never had it fall out or shake loose doing sprints and a full marathon."
"Took them on a 2hr walk with my dog today and had no issues. First IEMs I can actually wear laying on my side in bed."
"after 80+ miles on our last trip, I was the only one without foot problems of any kind."

"It's been awesome for the month i've had mine and is able to connect to xbox/ps5 at the same time as your PC and can have dual-channel audio going on at the same time."
"easy to... pair with 2 devices at once. ... I use it to connect with my pc and my iPhone and it handles the audio switch really well."
"internal connections for example i use Sunshine & Moonlight to game stream to my living room TV or my bedroom projector and I get the full 2.5gig speed test to my desktop from the tv, projector and my phone that are on wifi"

"The big PLUS for me on these compared to the Novas is that they have recessed 4kHz - it reduces fatigue and it’s not harsh on the ears. Especially with those high pitch gunshots and flash bangs."
"excellent imaging for FPS games ... SteelSeries has better imaging"
"I can hear more things than everyone i play with - footsteps etc.."

"And the AI they advertise actually works. ... With my gen 2s people could hear my dogs bark in the other room and now they can’t."

"my friends don’t like the mic (which I think is due to the mic being so short/away from my mouth) ... Mic doesn’t extend far enough and sounds like shit."
Ok i have 3 ps5's one a pro. 1× pulse elite upstairs 1x steel series arctis 7p ps5 1x steel series nova 7p on pro Previously had the sony platinum headset on ps4 Previously before that was the sony gold. My go to: Arctis nova 7p. Least used: pulse elite. Why? : 1) all three sony are plastic. All three have cracked. Really cheap. 2) The mic sits closer to your mouth than the platinum and gold, due to its design. This creates the worst reason not to own one: it has LED lights right on the tips either side of your head, they are in your vision, and the most annoying thing ever. You can't turn them off. So guess what, its masking tape over the lights.. on your brand new headset. 3) the voice feedback, you know when you speak and you can hear your self ? Makes it more natural as when you speak in the real world, your ears pick up your voice. This headset has this, its completely shit. Difference between 7p and nova 7p: So I upgraded from my 7p of over 5 years ownership, really really enjoyed them, but...5 years. I really hoped the nova 7p was going to be at least at same level as 7p. Its so much better: 1) Battery life is better than an already good battery life. 2) I believe the sound to be superior (thats subjective), but both have premium sound quality. 3) you can pair it to your phone to play music or use ai etc with the mic, you can take calls etc the switch back over to gaming whenever you like without taking the headset off. None of this is on the 7p. 4) its way way lighter and its noticeable. Both are super sturdy. 5) they managed to make them more comfortable, the 7p were very comfortable, but holding both in my hand then head..nova beats it. 6) hearing yourself as you speak, by far the best headset I have ever had for this. Its was damned good in 7p, this is on a different level. 7) you can listen to your music on your phone whilst gaming. 8) both work on pc, mobile phones, etc. 9) there is lossless WiFi mode and Bluetooth built in. The 7p did not have this. My main negative with steelseries 7p and nova 7p, is that when my family are in the sitting room, I put my mates voices through the tv and use the mic on the headset sat on the armchair. The set is designed ti turn off the headset if its not in your head. You can actually update this by plugging into a pc and using the download downloadable app. Then set it to 'never switch off'. There os a mobile app but could nit make it work. So yes the new headset comprehensively refines and beats the original headset that was utterly great already. The quality of life upgrade is brilliant, but...if you had never owned the 7's to start, and purchased the nova 7, you would never ever know all of what I said above. The pulse elite is just gathering dust upstairs. The sound is ok, but they are designed to break on you. Built in failure so you upgrade later. (Look up 'pulse elite headset cracking on google). Wish I had not bothered. Hope this helps.
Also biased, but I have the Arctic 7P and they work great. You also can use them on laptops, mobile devices, etc + the fitted usb thing it gives you. However… as far as the one with the black usb piece goes, if you lose that small piece I don’t believe you can use the headphones with your PS5 headphones.
I’ve tried the Arctic 7P but I liked Inzone h9 more wrt to the Spatial Audio.. so went with that 🙂↕️
I have these also. Steelseries are excellent. If you really want to spend you can get the ones I have on my o Pc. Gamedac pro. I have the wired version so I got the 7p for wireless. But sound quality and build quality are good. If you have big ears they can be uncomfortable after prolonged use I’ve heard. But that doesn’t apply to me.
I've been on the lookout for a solid wireless headset for my PS5, and after trying a few, I ended up going with the SteelSeries Arctis 7P Wireless. The audio quality really stands out during both gaming and streaming sessions, and the mic clarity is good enough for clear communication.
I have Steelseries Arctis Pro 7P and I love them. Have had them for a few years. Caveat is theres no noise cancelling. That doesn't bother me though.
Redownloaded Reddit just to offer a different perspective here. I’m back in these threads bc I bought the arctic series. It’s one of the cheapest feeling headsets I’ve ever had. Mic doesn’t extend far enough and sounds like shit. Overall build quality is poor. My favorite headsets have been the original Astro a40s and the Beyerdynamic Tygr 300r (what I use at my pc). Also, I think that is some weird affiliate link too?
(I know we’re having 2 different conversations on 2 different threads, I just appreciate the real person feedback that I’ve missed from uninstalling reddit) My arctis 7p does work functionally, it’s just the quality I have issues with. Build feels pretty cheap especially the headset controls and microphone, the sound isn’t great, and my friends don’t like the mic (which I think is due to the mic being so short/away from my mouth)
Arctis 7p … have a set very similar and similar price about 3 years savage headset
I have had the 7P since 2020. Now I am having slight issues with charging port and only changed cushions once. I think I got my money’s worth.
Go with the 7P, they’ll let you connect via dongle to your PlayStation and you can connect to another device via Bluetooth and play audio from booth sources simultaneously if you want to do so. They also have USB-C charging which the other Steelseries doesn’t as it’s an older model. Either Steelseries option though are both very comfortable and can be worn for many hours without hurting, even with glasses (this has been my experience). Also they are over ear and the Sony set are on ear. I personally prefer over ear so that may be a consideration as well. But I’d recommend the Steelseries all day long.
