"I have the ear shape where in-ear headphones always make a loud bumping sound when I'm moving, so AirPods 4 give the benefits of noise cancelling and great sound without the in-ear effect. ... AirPods 3 always fell out my left ear but they dialed in the size perfect for the 4's, they sit perfect and I've never had it fall out or shake loose doing sprints and a full marathon."

"Took them on a 2hr walk with my dog today and had no issues. First IEMs I can actually wear laying on my side in bed."

"after 80+ miles on our last trip, I was the only one without foot problems of any kind."

"I am a power lineman, so I needed a rugged watch that could get banged around, be exposed to energized high voltage, and very harsh conditions. The TREX has worked flawlessly through all that."

"Altimeter and barometer and compass (ABC). More butch design and more shock, cold, heat dust and dirt resistant. Feature set more for stuff INCLUDING running. More suited backpacking and hiking which I've used it for a fair bit. Great tool watch"

"it’s super durable. ... The watch clasp has gotten scratched up but the face is still fine after nearly a year of climbing inside with it. ... instinct is very durable"

"those setups also lack many of the convenience features that attracted me to this headset in the first place (numerous connectivity options and multipoint device connectivity is important for me because I WFH and this headset does double duty as my work headset and used for playing games on both PC and my Switch.)"

"Actually I love them so much I bought monitor stands and vesa brackets for them to use them when i’m home too."

"Minipc powers/displays to a monitor via a usb-c. Very convenient and great for a travel setup."

"The big PLUS for me on these compared to the Novas is that they have recessed 4kHz - it reduces fatigue and it’s not harsh on the ears. Especially with those high pitch gunshots and flash bangs."

"excellent imaging for FPS games ... SteelSeries has better imaging"

"I can hear more things than everyone i play with - footsteps etc.."

"bad connection with pc vía USB (im not making the de mic work)"

"I had many times where sonar audio devices flat out wouldn’t work properly and required a restart or reinstall to fix, and I got tired of it."

"The one problem I have with them is when they go into a standby mode and come out of it, the mic stops working, both on Bluetooth and with the dongle. ... So like if I'm in a Discord chat and I mute for 20 minutes and come back, I have to put the buds back in the case and take them out for the mic to work again."

"only downside is that after a while (2+ hours for me I think) it does get a bit uncomfortable on the ears ... idk why but I think its cuz the ear cups are a bit small."

Hello, i‘m using the Steelseries Arctis Nova 7X (X is for xbox, so just ignore that) and i‘m using it since launch (2022) and hell no, i‘m not going to replace it anytime soon. It has the Battery Life of god, sound quality is crispy clear and light weight as a feather. I can recommend that. Btw there‘s a difference between „Steelseries Arctis“ and „Steelseries Arctis Nova“ - the „Nova“-Headsets are the „reboots“ if the original arctis-line.

I think the Stealth 600 is better. I got the Nova 7x and returned it in a week. Got a Stealth 700 instead and I can't tell you enough how good it is!

Nova 7P has a much larger and more accurate sound stage and also gets much louder than the 7P+ will in my opinion. I have the 7P+ and the Nova 7X which to my knowledge is essentially the same headset with the option to change the chat balance because you can on Xbox but it isn’t supported on the PS5. I started using my 7P’s with my PS5 pro because I’m not using my Xbox anymore and it was a healthy upgrade compared to my 7P+….

To add to this the gen 1 blemished box is $100 less and the only difference between the gen 1 and 2 is app control and battery life.

Thanks I'm leaning towards the 7P+ because I've heard the build quality on the pulse elites is terrible along with connection issues. I'm having a hard time telling the difference between the arctis 7p+ and the Nova 7p.

Yeah I'm going to wait for Black Friday just trying to figure out which one to get. I can't tell the difference between the arctis 7p+ and Nova 7 besides the Nova having bluetooth.

I ordered the 7x+ and Nova 7x to try them both and I'll just return or gift the one I don't like. But same thought is to use them on PS5 and xsx. I have the razer kaira pro for my x that I love but I find the sound get crackly at times.

If you never wanna buy a headset again, go for Steel Series Nova 7X. Multipurpose and yet built for Xbox. You can listen to music off your phone via Bluetooth while being connected to your Xbox for gaming. You can easily adjust volumes, mute, has a retractable mic, and insanely comfortable. I'll use mine for music all day and forget I have them on because they so comfy. You can also plug them into a PC to fine tune it and update it. You can mess with so many audio settings.

It would be helpful if you could list your preference for wireless or wired, and a rough idea of your budget and what region you're in. But personally, I recommend the Steelseries Arctis 5X or 7X. Steelseries makes several headsets in their Arctis Nova line, but the ones with the X next the number are Xbox compatible. I think they're a much better headset than the official Xbox Wireless headset, the biggest one being compatibility. The Official Xbox wireless headset is convenient in that it connects to the console using the Xbox Proprietary Wireless Protocol, so you pair it to the console like a controller. You can also pair it to a phone at the same time for music and taking phone calls. The Steelseries Arctis Nova 5X and 7X headsets come with a wireless USB dongle that you need to plug in the console, but the benefit of this is that they work on waaaay more than just Xbox. They are one of the few headsets that works on all platforms, meaning it can be used on Xbox One/Series, Playstation 4/5, Switch/Switch 2, PC, android, etc. On top of that, while the Nova 5X lets you toggle between the transmitter and bluetooth, the 7X supports simultaneous bluetooth like the Xbox headset does, so you can pair it to a phone and take calls while you are gaming. They also both have excellent battery life, and my favourite feature: they have retractable boom mics. That means when you're not gaming, you can tuck the boom mic into the headset and they look like normal headphones that you can use for things other than gaming.

I'd recommend the Arctis Nova 7X then. Seems to be sold on amazon for a very good price. They also work wired or wirelessly. https://www.amazon.co.uk/SteelSeries-Arctis-Nova-7X-Multi-System/dp/B0B7X8M694

Oh, forgot to mention, in another comment you mentioned that you were very interested in on-headset game/chat volume balancing. The Arctis Nova 7X also have this feature. There are two wheels on the headset: one for volume, and one for game/chat balance. Hope that helps!

Recommending headphones for gaming is somewhat difficult because it's so subjective. There's no one headphone that rules them all that let's you hear the best and make you a god that can hear every footstep for $200. But, with that being said, there's of course a difference in quality with what you get with $50 vs $200. I would personally recommend the SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7P or 7X. Be careful if you're on console because it has 2 versions of the headset, one that has a dongle that works with PlayStation and the other Xbox. (If you're on PC, then either version works as the dongle can be switched to be compatible with PC.) The sound quality is pretty decent and it has a built in mic as well.
