"My Wireless Arctis Nova Pros are my daily driver because of how comfortable they are to use. ... Iv had my wireless Arctis Nova Pros for about 2 years now and I didn't even know there was a nub until I read this post."

"If you're also a console player or use your headset with multiple devices simultaneously, definitely the Steelseries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless ... the Steelseries one has audio controls on its DAC with two USB and one 3.5 mm input (as well as an output for speakers and such) and can also connect to a Bluetooth device."

"have some really nice daily-use QOL stuff like the Bluetooth phone mix-in to main"

"has a better bluetooth range"

"The Nova Pro's have a nub on the inside of the ear cup for the noise canceling that sticks out quite far and it hits my ear. ... I can only wear the headphones for about an hour before my ears start to ache from that nub putting pressure on them. ... I've even gotten the thicker set of Wicked Cushions to try and get the nub away from my ear, but it still bothers me."

"One minor complaint I saw people had for the Pro was the piece in the left earcup poking them while wearing (think I heard it was the noise cancelling or something)"

"Steelseries just keeps resetting my default devices after each update of the app or GPU drivers update."

Bought these the other day, and boy do they hate any close 2.4g signal. So I would say it's not a great solution to use at a tv computer rig setup. 2.4g mouse and keyboard, 2.4g controller and of course WiFi in the vicinity. Tried turning off the 2.4g WiFi signal and using only 5ghz. But it didn't make a difference. Bought the audeze Maxwell to compare and those aren't having issues.

These don't sound bad, but I've had issues with the connectivity, some distortion when too many 2.4g signals in the area. If you care about the features and want something that can handle multiple sources and don't have a ton of 2.4g signals around I'd get these. If you care about sound quality, these audeze maxwell are some of the best wireless sounding headphones you can get right now, though used is about $50 more than these

Used to have these and thought the performance you got was underwhelming. This was the last headset I owned before switched over to IEMs

Ya it's a BIFL for me. Mine came with 3 swappable batteries which should easily last several years. The base station runs off 2.4 and allows for 2 inputs, which is great for WFH. Range seems shorter than BT, though. Comfort will vary based your head shape and size but it's fine for me. The classic retractable mic and mute button are handy. I was wary of the lack of ChatMix going in, but I don't miss it. Looking back on it now, ChatMix really only created confusion.

SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless Multi-System Gaming Headset. Had the same issue, and was recommended these. Have lasted me for almost 2 years. Most likely the only headset I will ever have. Great spindle quality, Mic is amazing (according to my Skype meetings) and have a replaceable battery, so if your like me and forget to charge, this will solve it.

Had a pair for about 6 months now. Probably one of the worst purchases I've made in the last few years. Crackling issue that SteelSeries has know about for years now but hasn't done anything about it. Just take a look over at the SteelSeries subreddit, search Arctis Nova Pro's. Not worth the money or effort trying to figure out it's issues especially if the company refuses do acknowledge the problem.

Got mine recently as well ($135 2nd hand) and was running into the same issues. Returned and ordered Audeze Maxwells for $200.

I've used two versions of this headset over the past decade, and I love it! Sounds great, can get pretty loud without too much distortion, but I rarely have it above half volume. 3D audio is full and accurate enough to reliably use in fast paced shooters. The mic is very clear for voice chat, and can get pretty loud/sensitive if you want to crank it all the way up. Sure, you can find better audio and a better mic separately, but not without also paying a good bit more.

Steel series was ass when I bought it. Cut out all the time, sometimes wouldn't even turn on.

I’ve had mine for a couple years. I had to completely remove the access point in my office. Granted, that’s nearly all 2.4ghz headsets but still. I feel like they should have some special sauce or something to help with reliability at the price point.

PC. I’ve also researched all the tips and tricks and bought USB extensions to get the dongle away from usb 3.0 ports to avoid interference. No dice.

I agree with you because obviously wired cans sound better, but some people value convenience over sound quality.

These headsets in particular will have plastic that after a couple years of use will dry out and snap for no reason. I just put mine on the head and they snap and my head is quite small on average so tension on my head should be way smaller than other people. When I googled the problem it had happened to a ton of people and ofcourse the warranty was just out so I couldnt get a new pair and they gave me nothing.
