"The roborock I have kicked and smashed with my foot so many times out of anger when it doesn't collaborate, and still he rocks 4-5 yrs later and no broken parts"

"they are extremely durable. ... I’ve got well over 1000 miles out of a pair and they still have grip and the uppers are in great shape"

"I've used them for 1500 miles of multi-day hiking with no issues!"

"I have the ear shape where in-ear headphones always make a loud bumping sound when I'm moving, so AirPods 4 give the benefits of noise cancelling and great sound without the in-ear effect. ... AirPods 3 always fell out my left ear but they dialed in the size perfect for the 4's, they sit perfect and I've never had it fall out or shake loose doing sprints and a full marathon."

"Took them on a 2hr walk with my dog today and had no issues. First IEMs I can actually wear laying on my side in bed."

"after 80+ miles on our last trip, I was the only one without foot problems of any kind."

"the most convenient, literally able to reload the headset battery (2 come with box) and charge in DAC or just USB C to headset"

"the inter-changeable batteries is a very nice feature that has saved my gaming sessions a good few times."

"the cherry on top is the swapable batteries. ... If swapping batteries is too hard for you, you probably struggle with a lot of things lol"

"The big PLUS for me on these compared to the Novas is that they have recessed 4kHz - it reduces fatigue and it’s not harsh on the ears. Especially with those high pitch gunshots and flash bangs."

"excellent imaging for FPS games ... SteelSeries has better imaging"

"I can hear more things than everyone i play with - footsteps etc.."

"constant connectivity issues I experienced. ... The buds would randomly not turn on when taken out of the case, or just one wouldn't turn on, or they wouldn't connect, or sometimes the buds would randomly disconnect/reconnect, or sometimes the buds would disconnect from each other. ... I really wanted to keep them but they were borderline unusable, even after an update."

"Also connection with iPhone has always been terrible. ... Dropped connections, sometimes it just won ’t connect."

"they would constantly disconnect from my s23."

"way too bright. ... The source doesn't matter, being it a desk amp or a usb dongle"

"Out of the box they sound like shit ... when EQ'd they sound ok"

"Melobuds Pro straight out of the box sound like ass."

"I kept feeling them on and thinking they would fall off my ears at any moment, it would distract me from my run."

"I find I can't wear them for more than an hour without my ears hurting."

"Only downside is the faux leather ear foams are absolute garbage out the box. ... Had to get a cooling gel ones on Amazon for like $15"

"In addition, when i press the front button to access the menu it resets and cannot get into the menus on the base station. ... Upgrading the firmware caused this and I dont think they've released any more since."

"The headset would randomly restart, disconnect from the base and cause a loud distrotion sound to come across until I BOTH powered down the headset AND disconnected the USB cable from the back of the hub. Pair that with the headset just randomly disconnecting at times (typically when critical to HAVE it) and you have a recipe for disaster."

"It’s a pain in the ass to have to set sonar as the primary source every time."

"My Timps got holes after 4 weeks of wearing lol ... Forgot exactly where but it was the toe box. ... Never seen running shoes with such a shitty build quality before. ... Altra is definitely skimping on the materials since they were sold a few years ago."

"I beat the ever living shit out of my shoes in the Colorado high country and have had to shoe goo the soles twice in spots so it’s definitely not bomb proof."

"Left earbud broke after three days usage."

I know this is an older comment, but I stumbled here looking for good headphones and was curious if these are the ones you were talking about? My experience is steelseries is the best of those. Comfy and good audio with a decent app to modify your equalizer and decent presets. Everyone saying get a nice pair of regular headphones and a stand alone mic aren't necessarily wrong but personally the main perk of gaming headsets is the wireless capability. Standard headphones that I would use for gaming are all wired. I've tried Bluetooth headsets and there always seems to be just that little bit of lag you don't get with the 2.4ghz gaming sets. Also unless you're an absolute audiophile, a decent quality gaming headset sounds good. Especially when you play with the equalizer to get what you want out of it. Edit: steelseries also has swappable battery packs which i personally love.

I personally just got the Audeze Maxwell, which are essentially a hybrid between gaming and audiophile. They’re closed backs, but they still sound great. I agree that it’s important to take a step away from these overpriced “gaming” headsets that are really just garbage. My previous headset was the Arctis Pro Wireless, which was inferior in every regard, and it was *still* more expensive than the Maxwell’s. Really goes to show how poisonous gaming branding is.

I've been using this one for years and absolutely love it because of the rechargeable battery that's easy to swap. Quality is awesome and there are custom headbands out there. Granted, I haven't looked at the current landscape since this one has met my needs: Arctis Pro Wireless Gaming Headset steelseries Edit: this one also doesn't break the bank and is what I would consider a pretty affordable.

Yup, a DAC which is also the receiver if you're not using Bluetooth but it's great because it recognizes PlayStation and PC and has some extra controls on it giving it a little more flexibility in how you want to use it. There's also a program that can change how it works with your computer. Edit: one other neat feature is that you can use Bluetooth on it simultaneously so you can be in Discord on your phone but listening to PC Audio at the same time.

I am new to PS switch from XB and I brought over ny Astro A50s to PS, didn't like the performance on PS so I bought Steelseries Arctic Wireless Pro and Pulse Elites. I would return the pulse elites but scracthed them changing out cushions. The Steelseries I really like even better than what the A50s were for me on XB.

For me it'd be a toss up between the steel series Arctis Pro Wireless or the Razer Kraken V4 Pro Wireless.

r/steelseriesIs the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless still a solid purchase in 2025?

I have them and they’re fine. You need to buy wicked cushions for them because the ANC bump is annoying. Honestly, I’ve had the older Arctis Pro Wireless since they came out and they’re better in pretty much every way. Pretty sure you can get them for relatively cheap now too.

I use the Arctis Pro Wireless from Steelseries for a few Years now. It’s probably not be the best in Sound Quality and definitely lacks in Microphone Quality. But the Sound Quality sounds good enough, atleast for me and I love that with the „Docking Station“ ( I don’t know how it’s really called ) I always have a fully Charged spare battery, so downtime is only like 5 Seconds to switch Battery’s.
