"Still recommend these over the Nova pros for music on phone and PC and story games?"
"Super great build quality and sound."

"constant white noise ... for the Arctis Pro I was part of the minority who heard the white noise and it drove me crazy"
"IMO the arctis pros sound like ass without a proper EQ curve. ... Without it they sound hollow and tinny and overly bassy for how bad the rest of the audio is balanced."
"my pro sounds terrible. ... I've tried a lot of different EQ configurations that people have said were good and they still sound muddy and flat."

"My OG Arctis Pros are basically perma dead because the cable port ate shit."
"The headset would randomly restart, disconnect from the base and cause a loud distrotion sound to come across until I BOTH powered down the headset AND disconnected the USB cable from the back of the hub. Pair that with the headset just randomly disconnecting at times (typically when critical to HAVE it) and you have a recipe for disaster."
"Nova pro wireless is virtually the same as the arctis pro wireless. Both are standard steelseries cheap quality ... Cheap quality as in the plastic they use and overall build quality. ... Nothing wrong with using plastic, it’s the garbage plastic they use that snaps if you breathe on it. ... At the hinges, depends on headset to headset but that’s where nova pros, arctis pros commonly fail. ... for the price they aren’t good. You can buy a wired headset for a third of their price and it’ll last much longer."

"In addition, when i press the front button to access the menu it resets and cannot get into the menus on the base station. ... Upgrading the firmware caused this and I dont think they've released any more since."
"Also I always have to reset my default audio devices on boot - do you have that issue too? ... And do you mean even all the weird virtual devices steelseries set up? Theres like 12 or something? ... I just went nuclear and hid them all. Not sure how to get them back."
"the GG software is making me lose my mind"

"The Arctis pro broke twice in 6 months, (mic mute button, frequent disconnects, and occasional issues where it refused to connect to the DAC at all.)"
"crackling noises on every connection"
I second steelseries. I have the pro wireless, the previous gen. Still great after four years
r/XboxSeriesXlS • Whats the best headset for series X? ->I'm a fan of Steelseries. Nova pro wireless is good, and there's also the elite which just recently released. It is a whopping $600. Swappable batteries are really nice.
r/XboxSeriesXlS • Price is no concern - best wireless headset for the series x ->Oh they sound amazing. No wireless headset has sounded better to me than the maxwells do for single player games. But i was not a fan of them for shooters for some reason. Hearing is very subjective though. They are also kind of heavy but you get used to it. Still the elites seem like the ones that I’ll be able to use for any type of game. I loved my old pros before the nova pros. Can’t wait
r/steelseries • The SteelSeries Arctis Nova Elite: A Multi-Platform Powerhouse (Pricey, but Peerless) ->If you’re happy keep your money lol. I’m just a sucker for trying new gaming headsets lol. Honestly I was pretty happy with my Og arctis wireless pros from many years back. Felt that the nova pros were not a worthy upgrade. The elites are definitely an elite upgrade but not a $600 upgrade lol. I’ll take the hit on this one. Def recommend those who want them to get them on sale when they inevitably go on sale.
r/steelseries • Arctis Nova Elite ->I just got the arctic steelseries and they are amazing. Wireless lasts a long time, two rechargeable batteries, has its own dock/hub. Very happy with that purchase
r/playrust • I need a good headset for rust no budget limit ->I have gone through all the premium/best-reviewed ones and the Corsair Virtuoso is the best overall in my experience. I didn't like the weird headband on the Steel Series Arctic line. For me it was not comfortable at all. I had a previous version of the Arctis with the little dock and hot-swap batteries, and I LOVED that battery switch feature.
r/buildapc • What's the Best Wireless Gaming Headset in Your Opinion? ->These headsets in particular will have plastic that after a couple years of use will dry out and snap for no reason. I just put mine on the head and they snap and my head is quite small on average so tension on my head should be way smaller than other people. When I googled the problem it had happened to a ton of people and ofcourse the warranty was just out so I couldnt get a new pair and they gave me nothing.
r/steelseries • Got the Elites today. ->By that logic, the $379 Pro's which are inferior to these in both sound signature, microphone & build quality isn't worth the price. But they are rated as probably Top 3 in Gaming headphones. You have to look at it in the entire package. Software + build quality + feature set + sound performance + mic performance. The Pro's are already top 3 in this regard. There are other headphoens slightly cheaper that may deliver certain things better and vice versa. Many brands have better mics, worse sound signature. Some have better sound signature and worse mics. Some can't do crap for software and EQ control. Then you have Audiophile cans that you then need to buy seperate products to take advatange of and then overall can cost more than the gaming headset. Like it or not, sometimes spending a little bit of a premium for convenience and having a good experience in each category makes sense. I don't want 50 things on my desk just to hear 5% better. I don't want a microphone on my desk either, and want it attached to my mic. I also want a wireless headset. I also don't want to spend hours trying to EQ my games and want something that just sounds a bit more immersive out of the box by clicking a button. I also like to keep all of my software not so bloated with 50 different products. I also like higher build quality and decent mics. That's where the Nova Pro's came in, and they are easily top 3 in most categories outside of audiophile specific devices. Enters the Elites which is better than them by a good margin in each of those categories. With your logic, don't ever fly direct on an airplane... how dare you spend more money for convenience!

r/steelseries • Got the Elites today. ->All these people mad that you bought an actual decept pair of headphones. Are there better out there, for better cost/performance. Yes, sure. And people buy NVIDA or AMD and fans based on aesthetics, and brand loyalty. They buy a certain vehicle, when there is a more fuel efficient car. Take a different airline because of how comfortable they may be for a few to several hours. Rather door dash vs pick up, because it's time vrs money. These are still one of the best 'gaming' headphones on the market, regardless of price. Do they have the audio quality? No. Do they have the build quality? Yes. We all have seen other headphoens from audiophiles that aren't worth the price, or well worth the price. The fact is, the dude says they're way better than his Pro's, and the Pro's are already costly. If they're better than that, then it's somewhat warranted just from the sound signature, let alone the build quality. So many jealous people here.
r/steelseries • Got the Elites today. ->I put them on, and was deeply disappointed at the average sound quality after coming from Astro A50 Gen 5s. Bloated bass, muddy as hell, very small soundstage as the highs seem overly suppressed. Microphone is bang average at best, and the additional weight all of the metal added to the headset made them feel heavy and uncomfortable compared to the Nova 7s that my son uses. Sent straight back to Amazon and sticking with the A50 that I snagged for £200, a third of the cost. Avoid these at all costs. No headset should be £600.
r/steelseries • Got the Elites today. ->Nope they’re are a tragic release at £600. Audio crap, microphone crap, sidetone crap, heavy and uncomfortable, and as you probably know now no better than the Pro that costs less that half the Elite. Truly an epic failure. Very nice to look at though 👀
r/steelseries • Got the Elites today. ->It’s not worth it these are worth max $500 because of the features. Audio quality is good but I can’t say I’m blown away especially coming from the Pros. It’s is a noticeable improvement though
r/steelseries • Got the Elites today. ->i have the elites myself from the pros and yes they are good the price definitely isn’t justified, the sound is better but not earth shattering better, and the clamp is a bit much for me even tho i have WC earcups
r/steelseries • Got the Elites today. ->These are among the most comfortable headsets I've owned, and nothing, absolutely nothing, can even begin to challenge their software for audio management. I've tried several brands but the software alone makes steel series a clear winner.
r/steelseries • Got the Elites today. ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
