"my friends don’t like the mic (which I think is due to the mic being so short/away from my mouth) ... Mic doesn’t extend far enough and sounds like shit."
"Whenever I use discord, everyone says my voice sounds awful. ... I basically love the headset, hate the mic."
"Build feels pretty cheap especially the headset controls and microphone ... It’s one of the cheapest feeling headsets I’ve ever had. ... Overall build quality is poor."

"I had many times where sonar audio devices flat out wouldn’t work properly and required a restart or reinstall to fix, and I got tired of it."

"auto-shutting off while playing audio ... If I don't run steelseries GG, it'll default to the setting that is shuts down after 30 minutes. ... The only way to circumvent that bullshit then, is to actively use the microphone, that registers as "being used". Not the fucking fact that there's audio playing through the headphone :( ... I sometimes manage to get the auto-shutdown to 'never' via a profile in steelseries GG, but it usually only works a limited time :("

Artis 7+ Steel Series fits over the psvr2 perfectly. Great headset
r/PSVR • PSVR2 what headphones do you use? ->In fact, I just switched from a 2017 SteelSeries Arctis 7 Wireless to the Fractal Design Scape. The Arctis was already mechanically worn out and I've already replaced the ear pads 5 times. I've tried several headsets over the last few years, but none of them have convinced me to give up the Arctis 7. The Scape surprises me. Comfortable to wear, good sound quality, decent battery life and then there's RGB. The charging cradle is the best thing about it.
r/FractalDesign • Fractal Design Scape - First Impressions ->Steelseries artics 7, artics 9 if you care about bluetooth and dungle connection at the same time. My general tip is always wireless headset, once you go wireless you don't turn back
r/LinusTechTips • Best gaming headset? ->I am using steel as well. Cost vs performance is good IMO.
r/OverwatchUniversity • Recommended Headset with 300 USD ->Not sure about that buddy. But 7P+ is using a USB-C dongle which works on my Mac too.
r/playstation • I need recommendations for a PS5 headset, I don’t mind spending a lot of money, what are your best suggestions? ->my arctis 7s from 2019 are starting to feel it's age and i'm looking at a new headset. * **Budget -** roughly 270 euro or 2000 dkk * **Country? -** Denmark * **Platform? -** PC * **Motherboard if on pc (or other audio gear)? -** Z790 UD AX * **Requested Guide:** Gaming Headset(AIO) * **Open back or closed back? -** Doesn't matter Have looked at both the Arctis Nova Pro or the Audeze Maxwell. Must have is chat / game mix
r/Gaming_Headsets • Monthly Recommendation Thread + LifelongCaboose's Gaming Audio Guide Links + Megathreads ->My arctis 7 from like 2018 still works perfectly...
r/steelseries • Got my Arctis Gamebuds yesterday. They have made a fantastic first impression and could very well be my favorite gaming headset. ->I’ve had arctics 7 for 5 years but recently the ear piece started to break and eventually they were beyond repair. They were the best headphones I’ve ever had so I bought an exact same piece. The audio in left year broke after 1 month. I switched them to new ones thanks to warranty but those broke again within a month. I exchanged them again on a warranty and so far it’s been good for 3 months. Take it as you will. Just sharing my experience
r/buildapc • Best headset with a good mic? ->Idk what yall are doing to yalls headsets but I've had my Arctis 7s for around 4 years now and they haven't broken yet. Only issue is battery life has gone down
r/gamingpc • Best pc gaming headset ->Steel Series Artics 7 Pro or Logitech G Pro X. The logitech is kind of expensive but the only headset I can use while walking around my house or even parts of my backyard, worth it off that alone.
