"its lasted me 4 times as long as any of the Nagas I had ... It's honestly worth spending a bit more on it. You will save money in the long run by not having to replace it as often."
"Scimitar 4th year no problems."

"ease of pressing the right buttons for strict WoW use"
"2 going on 3 years with no issues whatsoever ... use the side buttons for the bulk of my rotation so I've smashed those buttons probably tens of thousands of times if not more. ... The thing is a tank."

"Saving the profile to the mouse memory fixes this. ... Then you can use it in any computer and it just works. ... I don’t even run the icue software anymore. ... You still initially save it through icue, but you use one of the 3 hardware spots on the actual mouse. ... Iv’e gifted 3 of these to friends who play with me, I opened each mouse and saved a profile so they wouldn’t have to mess with it. Plug them in and it’s ready to go."
"Works fine tbh ... Once you get it setup, you're pretty much good."

"My scimitar would randomly "unplug/replug" itself (Windows USB sound would play) ... and then it would forget all custom keybinds until I rebooted...often in the middle of a key. ... I chucked it out the window after a year of pain"
"And the iCue software is a mess. ... Mutiple times it broke completely and I could only fix it by doing a complete reinstall. ... While that seems fixed, now it just refuses to launch on startup."
"i really love my corsair scimitar but i have a huge problem with iCue due to the fact that it wont auto-start and then my mouse wont switch programs when I start specific games :/ ... Really love the mouse but hate the program xD A reason why i'd like to switch..."

"it brakes so easily ending up clicking but not rolling. ... I have 3 of them in my electronic graveyard drawer."
"their shitty scroll wheel keeps destorying itself"
"You **will** experience the mouse wheel fucking up (registering up scrolls as down and downs as ups on some of the clicks)"

"it just never felt comfortable in my hand. ... ultimately I did not find it comfortable. ... I have smallish hands and couldnt get my grip to feel good."
"Yeah it’s definitely chunky, which is perfect for me personally but if you have smaller hands it might not be great."
"The Scimitar is pretty bulky."

"mine ultimately failed because of the common issue that happens due to the plastic they use for the top housing being softer than the switches they use on the left / right click so as you continue to use it eventually the switch indents the plastic and it stops actuating."
"had it twice, both times broke in under 6 months, don't want to ever buy it again"
"it broke within 6 months."

"I use the software to configure the side buttons and it won't save the profile. ... I think I eventually got it to save a profile but if I closed the software, everything would reset to default. ... So I'd have to reconfigure the buttons every time I turn on my computer. ... I googled this and it's a common issue people have with the Corsair software."
"And the iCue software is a mess. ... Mutiple times it broke completely and I could only fix it by doing a complete reinstall. ... While that seems fixed, now it just refuses to launch on startup."
"Corsairs MMO mouse sucked ass. ... Kept having weird software problems."
I use a scimitar where i have some mix feelings about. I like the design and fact u can adjust where your thumb rests on the 12 buttons. But the coating is subpar imo. The rubber gets very grimy over time where it think a more solid plastic shell would've been nicer. Have also looked around for replacement shells/keys but can't find any. Still kinda baffled there haven't been any sleek new mmo mice designs with a 12 side button layout aside from the razer mice
r/MouseReview • What is your favourite MMO mouse? ->Same except I use the Pro version. On my 2nd one now after 6 years of the first one. Only thing that was wrong with it was the right click didn't work sometimes
r/wow • I need a new MMO mouse. ->Corsair Scimitar PRO RGB, thank me later. [SCIMITAR PRO RGB Optical MOBA/MMO Gaming Mouse — Black](https://www.corsair.com/us/en/p/gaming-mouse/ch-9304311-na/scimitar-pro-rgb-optical-moba-mmo-gaming-mouse-a-black-ch-9304311-na)
r/wow • What MMO mouse would you Recommend for WoW? ->I had the same mouse, redragon m908, it was good, but buttons are a little bit tiny. After abusing it on rotations, sometimes one of the buttons would not register, but it still works after all the years I had it. I changed to Corsair Scimitar Pro, buttons are bigger and so far had no problem. Redragon however wins on price and ergonomics, but that's of course personal preference. Also redragon has weights so you can adjust the weight, I've put all of them in as I dislike lightweight mice and I wish Scimitar had that option too.
r/Guildwars2 • I never thought I needed a 12 mouse buttons for this game but I hope it’s a big change in a good way for me ->I've used both the Corsair Scimitar Pro and the Razer Naga, and really enjoyed both. On the Scimitar, you can adjust the position of the 12 buttons (not a ton, but you are able to move it a little for your hand). It's stuck with 12 buttons on the side though. The Razer has a lot clickier buttons (something I like) and you have the option to change out the side plate for different button configurations (12, 6 and 2 buttons). Right now I'm team Razer, but did use the Corsair for about 5 years. Hope this helps!!
r/wow • I need a new MMO mouse. ->I have a Corsair scimitar, wired. Had to replace the wire 1 time, and the wheel recently started to break down, the mouse is 9 years old, which is insane because I alwayes used steel series rivals and they were breaking down after a year or two
r/Guildwars2 • I never thought I needed a 12 mouse buttons for this game but I hope it’s a big change in a good way for me ->Currently naga V2 hyperspeed, i do use a lot of map grip too. I really like it, good shape, extra easy to change battery, if you get a small 2 slot battery charger and 2 rechargable batteries you are, virtually, always ready. It has 2.4 receiver or bluetooth. 12 buttons on the side that are default mapped as: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0 - = I have no complain, aside that i would have liked it to have "mouse button1" instead of a button that already exist on the keyboard. Please avoid the Corsair Scimitar normal or Elite, they have a know flaw related to the scroll wheel, it brakes so easily ending up clicking but not rolling. I have 3 of them in my electronic graveyard drawer.
r/DotA2 • What gaming mouse do you currently use? ->Naga v2 hyper speed works great for me. Super comfy. Came from a scimitar wired that would double click after a lot of usage. I tried going back to the scimitar when they had a wireless one but the comfortability for palm grip was terrible compared to the naga. Need more brands and models for MMO mice for sure but I’m really happy with my Naga v2 hyper speed
r/wow • Best mouse for WoW with side buttons? ->I literally own an unopened Corsair Scimitar (wired) as a backup because I'm paranoid it will one day go the way of the dodo like the Logitech G13 did. I've tried a lot of the MMO mouses (mice?), and the Scimitar has been my favorite by far because the side button position is adjustable and its form happens to fit my hand better than the others, which means no feelings of fatigue in my hand after a long gaming session. iCue definitely sucks though, you're right.
r/MMORPG • What is your favourite MMO Mouse? ->Seconding this. I've used nearly a dozen different mice but the scimitar has been my favorite and likely will be until someone makes a good 16 button trackball anyway.
r/ffxiv • MMO mouse for FFXIV ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
