"thought it felt wierd at the start. But (at least for me) its only at the beginning, prefer the feel of the scimitar now over the naga by a lot."

"While you might have had good luck with this mouse I I’ve went through 3 and a friend multiple as well. Scimitar is very known for mouse wheel breaking super easy."
"I did have an issue where the scroll wheel would skip a lot which made playing some games hard where scrolling is required, happened about a year after I bought it on two different mice."
"it does look a bit flimsy in the pictures as there's no front support. Not sure it would last very long in my hands either. ... There are also lots of reports of the scroll wheel breaking too, and looking at one in person yesterday I don't think it would stand up to me either."

"And the iCue software is a mess. ... Mutiple times it broke completely and I could only fix it by doing a complete reinstall. ... While that seems fixed, now it just refuses to launch on startup."

"i really love my corsair scimitar but i have a huge problem with iCue due to the fact that it wont auto-start and then my mouse wont switch programs when I start specific games :/ ... Really love the mouse but hate the program xD A reason why i'd like to switch..."
I use a scimitar where i have some mix feelings about. I like the design and fact u can adjust where your thumb rests on the 12 buttons. But the coating is subpar imo. The rubber gets very grimy over time where it think a more solid plastic shell would've been nicer. Have also looked around for replacement shells/keys but can't find any. Still kinda baffled there haven't been any sleek new mmo mice designs with a 12 side button layout aside from the razer mice
Corsair Scimitar pro, I was so impressed when I upgraded to this one that I bought an extra one.
I use Corsair Scimitar pro and I'm loving it! Got bigger hands so really appreciate movable 12 button side panel.
Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm preparing to replace mine too as the scroll wheel issue is starting to show it's ugly head. Definitely will be going with the same mouse though - it's perfect for me!
I had a mmp7 from cyborg that was awesome, but it died, then the logitech one, didnt really like it, switched to a scimitar pro when it came out 10+ years ago. Loved it, but ended up dead after around 8000hours of mmo and fps. Tried the naga, hated it and ended up buying a scimitar again. As long as this one still exists i'll use it. If one day its discontinued i'll buy one or 2 just incase
I love this mouse, seriously way more comfortable in my hand than any other MMO mouse I've used. I've went through two of them though, because the mouse wheel scroll eventually starts to degrade. You'll be scrolling through a web page and it will jitter up and down several notches as you scroll. Its bearable at first and just gets worse until its unusable. I've taken them apart to try cleaning the wheel, oiling it, all the stuff I found online but the ultimate fix is always replacement. After burning through two of them, I'm over it lol. Otherwise, they were excellent and comfortable mice.
I enjoy the Corsair Scimitar Pro 12 button. I’ve been using mine for years without issue, and I enjoy iCUE as a software for programming any Corsair products. I played my whole FFXIV play through with it, and I liked it so much, I even bought one for my laptop.
I had been given a Steel Series Sensei as a present when GW2 came out and I actually played ele with it for the first few years. Hard to imagine now! I knew I needed one of these mythical mmo mice but the price was insane. £100 for a MOUSE? I nearly fainted when I found out what my brother paid for the SteelSeries and that was just 'normal'. When my second Sensei was on its last legs, (I had replaced the first with the SteelSeries Guild Wars 2 tie in version) I got one of the cheap Redragon ones and it was a game changer, as you've learned. Way too heavy for me, ultimately, but it did persuade me to bite the bullet on a proper one. I went with the Corsair Scimitar, because of the movable keypad as I have very small girl hands. Yes, the software has been quite a pain over the years, I used to regularly have to unplug and replug the damn thing because it wouldn't be recognised on startup, but I realise I've not had any iCue issues in a very long time now. (Touch wood.) I guess when things work they become invisible. I honestly think at this point I'd have to give up the game if I couldn't get another Scimitar.
As a very small woman with very small hands, I also recommend the Corsair Scimitar Pro. That movable side panel is awesome and the reason I won't be changing brand. It genuinely suits everyone, ergonomically. I've not had any scroll wheel issues, but I am a bit of a button masher and my 1 button takes quite a bit of punishment, along with the LMB, so I have had to replace my Scimitar (with another) in the past, but I really consider that a user issue.
I've scrolled through these comments for too long. Where is the love for the corsair scimitar pro? Do people not use 12 button mice anymore? Is there some issue with this mouse I'm unaware of?? I've had a few of these (maybe the issue) and they're great.
Corsair Scimitar PRO RGB, thank me later. [SCIMITAR PRO RGB Optical MOBA/MMO Gaming Mouse — Black](https://www.corsair.com/us/en/p/gaming-mouse/ch-9304311-na/scimitar-pro-rgb-optical-moba-mmo-gaming-mouse-a-black-ch-9304311-na)
Corsair scimitar pro wired All time best mouse if you don't want the thumb pad just disable it and it's still the most comfortable mouse ive used and lasts forever. I have my original replacement still working and that only replaced my last one due to spills sticking the buttons.
