I mained the fenrir asym for 3 months and it was the worst decision to sell it to buy a OP1 8k V2. The fenrir asym is the best mouse that I have ever used. The pinky rest gives you so much stability if done right, it‘s miles ahead of any full size mouse and offers more mobility. I have ordered a new one
the OP1 is the best full size mouse in my opinion. The weight, the quality, the clicks are all top tier and especially the shape is great. The thing is that the Asym offers a lot more freedom and together with the sensor position it‘s night and day. With „if done right“ I mean that you need to place the grip tape correctly and put your pinky to the corner of the bulge. this mouse stands and falls with grip tape placement since it‘s uncoated and you need good grip for pure ftip.
OP1 8K Beast X Pro Fenrir Asym 8k in that order
As a fingertip gripper it is a straight upgrade. I just wish the fenrir asym had optical switches.
Had mine about 2 months, it’s my first fingertip mouse and the lightest mouse I own. No issues so far, been really liking it. Ordered a glass pad to try out with it soon.
For my specific grip and hand size, gwolves fenrir asym
One cause of instability can be in game nerves/tension messing with the mechanics (which isnt as apparent with larger mice). At least it is for me, it takes me at least 3-4 games before i start relaxing more and locking in (without tension) and the benefits of the mouse really comes through. With that said, i am one of those that rotate the Fenrir Asym in and out, but its more of a comfort thing. When browsing, editing, or just playing really relaxed games precision is not really the highest priority and i might just want to rest my entire hand on something. That doesnt mean i dont perform my best with the Asym and fingertip mice are a gimmick, it just means it's a very specific (and fun!) tool for a specific purpose rather than a swiss army knife i use for everything.
Imma join the choir and sing gospel to the fingertip goat Fenrir Asym, it just has the right things prioritised. Super low clickheight: CHECK. Extra width where needed for comfort: CHECK. Weight in proportion to size: CHECK. Light clicks: CHECK.
Geta Fenrir asim if you can. Or else hsk plus
most people here ftip is not even possible and are just complaining, i use fenrir asym for every game and i its the best mouse if u main ftip, big hands? nope, long fingers? nope, its for a certain type of hands sadly
i personally quite like gwolves, only had a problem with one of their mice currently maining the fenris asym, and it's pretty great
My endgame doesn't really exist. Endgame mouse: fenris asym, but made of carbon fiber. Endgame keyboard: an ergodox, but with the features of a wooting, and with the acoustics of a standard form-factor luxury keyboard (gasket mounted pcb/plate/whatever, multiple layers of foam, nicer plate materials, etc) Currently using the SP-004, it's nice.
agreed if i were to look at a vod of myself playing with too much tension when using the fenris asym, it'd look like ive never held a mouse before lol
Fenrir asym + superglide v1
almost same hand here, 20.8x10.7 I use the hsk pro 4k and the fenris asym, that are the 2 smallest mice available. embrace fingertip. also, that measure is like 90% standard percentile. Unless you can hold a basketball with your palm and not drop it, your hands are average.
