I press 1-5 with my fingers. 6-0 is on my mouse, I have a Logitech G502 Hero I bought solely for playing this game. I have action camera bound to q, special ability to e (it used to be - and I'm not reaching that far to press it), f is for interaction, right shift for dodge, x for mounting. I main a Reaper so I just have to reach for F1 for shroud. All the keys I need are around wasd or within reach of my left hand, and I do not touch the keyboard with my right hand. I'm middle aged and have been playing on computers with keyboards and mice since I was a kid, so muscle memory is strong. I struggled when I was a teenager to switch from cursor keys to wasd, but it's now normal.

The Logitech G502 Hero has extra metal weights which you can add or remove to your liking. Most mice at the moment tend to be on the smaller, lighter side though.
