Hey genuine tip here. I had that same overpriced piece of logitec garbage a few years ago, and I also had the left click die after a year. You can salvage the mouse by replacing the switch inside of it. Logitec uses the cheapest chinese s\*\*t it can find, so the switches die way too quickly. Do a quick google search for replacement switches for the mouse in question. I got my replacement off ebay and it still works to this day years later on my old media pc. I will however note that replacing the switch is a bit of nightmare since the 502 breaks down into like 200 small plastic pieces that fit together like a 3D jigsaw puzzle, so set up a camera and record the disassembly so you can get it back together again after swapping out the switch. Costs like $3 to make good as new this way. Well maybe $6 now due to super inflation and tarrifs since I did mine.

Been using them for years, I only get new ones due to desire (went 502 Hero Lightspeed Wireless from 502 Hero). Had others before that too, just upgrade with time and abuse. Software is pretty simple too, at least for the mice. I don't love G-Hub but its not awful.

I don't know if it was a poll-rate issue or if it was just an issue with the optical sensor, but it didn't feel like it would move the cursor accurately enough.

Now I use a G502 Lightspeed. It's still a little small, but the little tab that supports your thumb makes it easy to control the mouse without having to pinch your grip. Imo it's very comfortable.
