"The infinite scroll. ... For long pages, coding, and using so many apps (even 3D modelling, game engines etc). It makes life so much easier. Once you're past the learning curve, you can't go back. It's like scrolling on a phone screen."
"G502 because it has a button to let the scroll wheel free wheel. That's saying enough"
"If you use a tractor beam, Logitech mice with the freewheel. Mx3 or the 502 are awesome. ... You're missing the fun of the spinny wheel!"

"Three thumb buttons plus two next to the LMB ... I find it's enough ... I've struggled with actual MMO mice being uncomfortable to use"
"binding strafe to the two side buttons having character movement completely dedicated to my right hand. ... feel really improved my gameplay ... Also binded the other two macro buttons next to left click as modifiers (like alt/ctrl) for more keybind options. ... It frees up your left hand completely for just using abilities allowing you to reach more buttons/have more keybinds."
"I believe this is the main reason mice like the G502 are as popular as they are; 2-3 more buttons than the standard lightweight gaming mouse ... i know many dont, but i prefer having crouch/jump on my mouse so i can slide cancel or dropshot easier for example. ... agreed, or gray zone, or arma, or apex, or the finals ... in something like arma where you have helicopter x and y axis, both leans and ready stances, as well as countless other nuance, a couple extra buttons your left hand doesnt have to focus on makes a difference ... i can reload and run at same time because run is pinky, and reload is index, but to do both takes my index off of d, where reload on mouse doesnt effect aim or motion because im still on wasd and...im reloading, so not shooting anyway. ... on the contrary, most people do use them thus the popularity of the g502. in this sub, we assume the GPX is the best-selling, most used mouse, but its really the g502 by a mile and its despite its shape and weight definitely not because of it. studies/polls into this show its overwhelmingly because of the number of buttons, and that having 1 button over the razer basilisk makes a huge difference in sales."

"Reason I always get a new g502 is the button placement for using mouse4 as my crouch is just too perfect /comfortable"
"it lays nice in my hand ... feels nice in my hand"

"the scroll wheel crack first"
"Started having odd issues with my scroll wheels on my x superlight and g502 ... The amount of cat fur I found wrapped around the scroll wheel and on the buttons was wild."
"First iteration suffered a fall that broke the scroll wheel."

"GHUB on my G502 is mildly annoying (sometimes I have to alt-tab twice to get it to recognize a game and switch profiles)"
"G Hub software is meh. ... I set my colors, DPI, and shut it off, never to be used again."
"except for some software issues :p"

"Literally too heavy and causes me wrist pain lmao. ... I bought a 502x as like a "let's see" and it was immediately giving me wrist pain."
"I use a g502 with all weights attached 💀💀 ... I switch between a g502 and a g pro super light and the difference is like running and waddling through water"
"Thing is a brick ... After using light weight mice it's hard to go back to that weight."

"its def not the shape or weight lol ... its really the g502 by a mile and its despite its shape and weight definitely not because of it."
"it was too small and cramped for my hands ... The G502 and Basilisk thumb area is a bit cramped. I don't have thick fingers, but long ones and my thumbs are a bit wider at the tips than on most people."
"my fingers aren't comfortable on it"
I have the # Logitech G502 X Lightspeed Wireless Gaming Mouse - LIGHTFORCE
r/logitech • What is your experience like with the G502 X Wired Gaming Mouse? ->Is the G502 X Lightspeed base plate swappable? or only the G502 X? Currently I'm leaning mostly to either the G502 X Lightspeed, seeing a lot of mod kits that I like the idea of, or the Glorious Model I.
r/MouseReview • Looking for Mice Recommendations MMO-ish style. ->the only objective measures are durability (how many clicks each button will last) and input delay (ms) Every attribute other than those two is subjective: weight, shape, grip, friction, skates, amount of buttons, etc I personally like wireless, and having a lot of mouse buttons. Wireless mice are (generally) heavier, and more buttons are (generally) also heavier. So, I currently use a G502 X lightspeed, and I dont mind the weight I've never used a light mouse for an extended period of time, though, so i dont know if i would benefit from it or like it
r/OverwatchUniversity • My friend is trying to get me into Overwatch, but I'm not sure if her advice is actually that good. Can anyone offer me some guidance as a beginner? ->Yeah on 65 inch TV the polling rate would look terrible. I tried MX Master 3S, and that one is "premium" tier but still has absolutely garbage 125hz polling rate, and the mouse looked like it was lagging on 34" ultrawide. I've ordered G502 X Lightspeed, it's a big mouse with 1000hz polling rate and decent shape, but it's almost 100$ in most places, so probably won't fit your case if you're looking for budget. Problem is, there are very few "budget" wireless mice that don't suck. So unless you can increase your budget, if I were you I'd just stay on wired stuff unless absolutely necessary. Personally I actually prefer wired, and getting a very good wired mouse is like 3x cheaper than "decent" wireless one. The only reason to use wireless would be either on a laptop, or if PC space is large or unusual, like if you're far away from the system or something. Your case may be different, but yeah, if situation allows, I'd just stay on wired.
r/MouseReview • Budget wireless mouse under 60 EUR for palm grip ->I liked my G502 for the extra buttons in Warframe. There’s the new X variant if you want to stick with it. I’m currently using a Viper V3 Pro as my main and absolutely love it. I do wish it had an extra thumb button though.
r/MouseReview • need a new mouse for gaming ->A G502 at like 50-60g in weight would be absolutely amazing.
r/MouseReview • Gaming mice peaked? ->Viper V3 Pro for FPS. G502 for RTS / RPG games. I want to get the Hitscan Hyperlight and give that a go next.
r/MouseReview • Best mouse you have ever used? ->G502X - Has your standard thumb buttons + a sniper thumb button and two additional buttons to the left your M1 for your index finger. r/MouseReview • Are there any good mice with 6 buttons ->Yeah I had the g502 lightspeed when it came out and it didn't last 6 months. The left click stopped working suddenly. Then I bought the x. It's been a year and it's working great. No issues at all. I think the non x version has some problems with the quality.
r/IndianGaming • What mouse are you using for gaming? ->My local Walmart has the G502 X Lightspeed on clearance for $32. Should I buy them? Seems to be among the top 15 gaming mice... Ive had my OG 502 since 2018 and always loved it. I dont even use the extra buttons minus the "back" button and only ever accidentally touch the "paste" button lmao
r/pcmasterrace • The 25 most recommended gaming mouse according to Reddit (in the past year as of Jun 2025) ->i just wait a bit, and get the "used like new" or "refurbished" name brand mouse on eBay for half the price. i have like 4 versions of the G502, including the original Lightspeed, and the G502X lightspeed (nonrgb) and i got all of them under $80/ea. I also got a Glorious Model I2 Wireless for like $65 open box on eBay when it had been out for like a month. it is kinda the best of both worlds. i have used the cheaper mice for sure, and they do the job. i just know what i like now, and get what i want, but for a deal.

r/MouseReview • chinese mice changed my perspective on gaming mice as a whole ->Logitech G502 X Lightspeed It uses a USB-C cable to recharge. In terms of extra functionality, three buttons extra buttons on the side, two extra buttons on top, a DPI switch button, and an unlockable scroll wheel that can also be tilted to the side. You can rebind them to all sorts of macros for work and productivity, and they're pretty good for gaming too. The mouse weighs \~89 grams if I remember correctly. Not great, but it doesn't matter that much for work, and is fine for gaming. Also, don't buy the G502 X Plus. The only difference between it and Lightspeed is the RGB, but it costs a lot more.
r/MouseReview • Recommend me a mouse for productivity and gaming? ->I just want to add on about wireless mice to be good; the Logitech Gpro X Superlight was found to have faster response times than some wired A-brand mice. As for my recommendation, the Gpro X Superlight lol. I use it along with a G502X Lightspeed. Any game that doesn't require many keybinds I use the G502, shooters and other games I use the GPro
