"The extra buttons are nice and intuitive. ... U can customise all buttons, even the DPI button. ... I choose to change that button to use it for games as a function. ... I use it by just stretching my middle finger. ... I only use that button for wow"

"G502 because it has a button to let the scroll wheel free wheel. That's saying enough"

"If you use a tractor beam, Logitech mice with the freewheel. Mx3 or the 502 are awesome. ... You're missing the fun of the spinny wheel!"

"The infinite scroll. ... For long pages, coding, and using so many apps (even 3D modelling, game engines etc). It makes life so much easier. Once you're past the learning curve, you can't go back. It's like scrolling on a phone screen."

Just bought an MCHOSE A7X Ultra to complement my G502 X Plus. Have enjoyed all my time with the G502 and love the shape, it's great for comfort and productivity (shoutout to the infinite scroll wheel and programmable wheel tilt buttons), most games, and the battery life is good with the RGB turned off. It's responsive and sturdy with good quality button switches, and I like that they have the magnetic dummy to swap out for the "sniper" (DPI shift) button, as I never found that particular feature useful. So why did I get another mouse? The G502 is just so dang *heavy* compared to most modern gaming mice. That weight is sometimes nice in slower paced games, but the A7X is about half the weight, and just feels so much more nimble and less tiring in games like The Finals, ARC Raiders, etc. I also feel like the shape might be a bit uncomfortable or at least require some adjustment with palm grip, but I'd love to hear an update on that. It solves one of my only minor gripes with the G502 besides weight, which is that my claw grip over time wears away the soft rubber on the lower right side of the mouse (this is my second G502 after the Proteus, and it's already showing wear in the same spot after about a year).

I use an M720 at work because it's nice and simple and can connect to multiple devices (I work in IT), and I use the 502X Plus. It's kind of overkill (extra lights that don't really matter) and expensive unless you get it on sale, so I recommend the 502X Lightning.

r/MouseReviewIs there an ergonomic gaming mouse that fits my grip? (Budget: around 30 USD)

Not sure if you want to but you could look up used mice as well. I managed to get mice like the G502 X, Basilisk V3, DeathAdder V2/V3 for under 30$ each (usually 1.5-2x the price new around here so it might not be an option for you). I thought the thumb rest was a necessity for me as well but in the end the DeathAdder shape is what fits my hand perfectly.

It affects battery life too much since most people are turning towards wireless. There are still some mice like G502 X Plus with lines on its back or one of the Razer Basilisk even has it on the sides so it shines on the mousepad.

Practice and shape are most important. GPX clones are a safe place to start, Mchose A7 V2, ATK A9, Incott G23 V2. If you prefer a bit larger but still symmetrical, there are Viper clones, but I've only used one so far, namely the Eweadn S9. If you want larger ergo mice, my current main and favourite is the DeathAdder V3 Pro if you can find it for that much, otherwise if the wire doesn't bother you the regular V3 is the same but cheaper. If you need more buttons and don't mind the weight, Basilisk V3, I tried the G502X but the Basilisk felt better for me.

Just changed to a 502 x plus…. It was work out and with the powermat I also think the g502 is the best mice ever. However the new one is even more clicky and has a loud click sound.. so I Kinda miss the old one… which I could get that mouse with silent buttons.

G502 X PLUS. It's the best mouse I've ever had. I had the older, wired, version of the G502.

There are a few variations of the G502. If you're using the Hero, the X or X Plus is a bit smaller. I've tried others and just can't get away from the 502 series.

I have a G502 and it's been great, except for the braided cable having its internal wires come out on several points. It's now at my desk in the office. I got my wireless G502X Plus in the mail on Wednesday and it's great. My only gripe with the Power play system is it being 200 bucks
