Razer - Basilisk Ultimate

oof that sucks, I bought a Razer Basilisk Ultimate in 2021 that's still going strong. Before this though I had a Corsair Ironclaw where the mousewheel shaft snapped after about a year. Replaced under warranty but the replacement had the stupid double clicking issue. I really liked that mouse it was chunky and heavy but I think it's the only mouse I've ever owned that I felt fit well in my hand.

Razer are terrible especially in the mouse game. I have a Basilisk Ultimate wireless and it has major problems with the scroll wheel and phantom/missed scrolls. Many people have reported it and it’s all down to cheap hardware with no fix available. I’d go Logitech G series if you want a gaming mouse?

Razer, Logitech & Steelseries are the go to for most people, it depends on grip and hand size what you prefer. I went with the Razer basilisk ultimate. 

Hey u/International_Use367, SUUUUUPER WEIRD but I'm in the exact situation and have spent most of the day looking for the EXACT SAME THING. I mean super exact! I too own a Basilisk (Ultimate) and I dug out my ancient Deathadder Chroma earlier today to test it out (turns out this was more comfortable than my Basilisk this whole time.. https://preview.redd.it/lt150792kxbf1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3913dd8c962b32be5869fa1eabde894b2eb64f18 I also wandered around a store today, mostly to check out the G502 because it's what everyone recommends, but the size and shape is extremely similar to the Basilisk (as far as I could tell from spending 5 minutes fondling one in a store), having handled one I have no idea why people recommend it. I think probably the next candidates I checked out were the Corsair Ironclaw, and the MX Master 3 from Logitech. Or one of those super weird vertical ergo things, but I dunno if I'm ready for that yet. I swiped this G403 Hero off someone because the scroll wheel died on it, it's pretty close to the Deathadder but there's not much in it. But if you happen to see this and find or get a recommendation that works for you, could you pass it along to me or tag me on it? Would be super appreciated.

Still typing on a Razer BlackWidow TE I have had for a long time (which I believe is unsupported at this point) and using a wireless Basilisk I got in 2021. Never had their headsets though. Had a DeathAdder that lasted me about 2 years tops.

I'm looking for a durable gaming mouse that will last me several years without developing problems with double-clicking buttons or scroll wheel issues. Palm grip is my preference, but I’m not too fussed about advanced specs since I’m more of a casual gamer. Having more extra buttons to program would be great and also the mouse looking nice (obviously low priority on that!). I have owned a few mouses (or wait mice?) and have had issues with all of them. The ones I remember the best are: 1. Corsair Harpoon wireless: Double click issue which became unbearable. 2. Razer Basilisk Ultimate: Bought it since it had optical switches to avoid the double click issue, but ended up having scroll issues (and the recommendation to blow on the wheel didn't work!). The horizontal buttons on the wheel work out as a workaround, but I like being able to program those instead of using it for scrolling. I'll admit, I'm not the best at maintaining my devices so a part of it is because of frequently dropping it and stuff, but I'm sure there must be sturdy mice out there for me! Reliability and build quality are my top priorities. Suggestions for models or brands known for excellent longevity would be really appreciated! The cheaper the better for me, but I'm willing to shill out a bit more if it'll last me a really long while.

Is logitech back to being good again? They got bought out by some company in China years ago, and ever since then, their mouse quality went to complete shit. They start double clicking in 3 months or less. After my Logitech mouse from like 2006 died after like 14ish years of use, I naturally thought, dang, this Logitech mouse lasted me so long, might as go ahead and buy a new one with the bells and whistles. Nope. Went through 3 of the top of the line ones at the time, can't remember the name. Every single one started double clicking, each one faster than the next, mainly because I started noticing it sooner probably, it was screwing up my work, not just my gaming. Got an alienware mouse, same thing. Complete garbage. Went to a discord for computer-mouse enthusiasts, explained to them what I wanted and how I was sick of the damn double clicking mice I've been going though. They all talked about how Logitech uses cheap parts that all double click and you have to open them up now and preplace some parts or something with good quality japanese versions. I wasn't about to do that. So they recommended "Razer Basilisk Ultimate". It was wireless, which is what I wanted for my new setup, had two side buttons which is exactly what I wanted as well. And most importantly, it's apparently impossible for it to double click. idk how or why, that's just what I was told. And this mouse has been going strong since...mid 2021. I've now learned to never recommend brands for things that have lasted me over 10 years. I have to check and see if the company was sold or not or if they dipped in quality. You never know. I have an LG monitor that's lasted since 2011. It was my first flat monitor and it still works. Before that, i was still rocking the giant grey 90's monitor, lol. Played so much Oblivion on that thing. And it was big too. I honestly don't know how I did that.

15€ sharkoon shark force 2 i had like 5 of them and now i have razer basilisk ultimate but i cant recommend bc the mousewheel will double click after some time
