"I've had a razor basilisk for about 5 years and it's sound"

"Right now, I am begrudgingly giving Razer another shot with a Basilisk v3 because it has optical switches as well. ... Invariably they all let me down, usually with the switches failing for either the left or right button in a short amount of time."

"it has not failed me in SC once."

"I use basilisk for moba/mmo (obviously because theres m4m5m6)"

"I’d recommend the Razer Basilisk V3 or the ASUS ROG Spatha X if you’re looking for a mouse with 6+ programmable buttons."

"it has 11 programmable buttons"

"if you have larger hands like I do, some might not be the best fit. In that case, I’d recommend the Razer Basilisk V3"

"overall feels very good in my hand"

"free spin mode for the scroll wheel"

"The razer basilisk v2 and v3 both have scroll wheel tilt I believe!"

"much worse scroll wheel than the Lift, and my previous non-vertical mouse, the Razer Basilisk V3. ... I guess it doesn't get the free-spin wheel of the non-vertical version? That would be a shame because it otherwise looks like the best option so far."

"though it's a bit heavy. ... You'd likely be well served by something lighter as well to move around with less effort."

"However its a bit lighter and cannot place the extra weights."

I have my Razer mouse and keyboard from 12 years ago. I really want to replace my keyboard with a newer one, but it just feels so good. I just have had enough of the green RGB haha. Bought the Razer low profile mechanical as it was on sale and returned it. Battery life was mediocre and the RGB setting did not work wirelessly. Bought a Razer Basilisk V3 (non pro) as it was also cheap and it's alright so far. Wanted to have wireless peripherals, so my 2013 deathadder and BlackWidow would retire, but I just cannot find anything worth replacing them with. Would probably get a Keychron QMax series, but they are expensive in Canada. No software is a big win. Razer, Asus ROG, SteelSeries, etc will all have a good product here and there, but they often need their bloated spyware installed.

+1 been using Basilisk V3 for about 2 years no issues. Got it for a mix of gaming and productivity because of that side scrolling feature.

But do other brands offer the whole experience? Like for example, Razer can offer an entire lighting setup coordination. Also, what about Chroma? My gaming daily driver is a Basilisk V3, but I just bought a Rapoo MT760 for work. I've used it for one day, and the mouse is insanely good. It's extremely well built, it feels nice and it suits me. My only issue with it is the software. Being a work mouse, it's not a big deal. But if I were to use it for gaming, the software isn't as good as Synapse.

I got a new Logitech mouse and keyboard in 2018/2019 and both were dead by the 2nd year. The keyboard was a replacement for my other G910 that also had the double type issue after 1 year. Replaced it with 2 other brands (Razer mouse/Corsair keyboard) and now it's been great since then. The G502 proteus was great, but the Hero variant is terrible. Replaced it with the Basilisk V3 which works flawlessly and it's not even close. Maybe they got better again with the G502X, but i'll practice some social distancing with that brand for now and Razer seems like a good alternative for the mouse so far. Edit: corrected years

I use the basilisk v3. I’ve gotten sick of logitech and every mouse i’ve ever owned of theirs getting double click within a year or two. It’s better than the g502 imho

Yeah! Coming from a Logitech G9 (rest in peace my old friend) I tried a Basilik v3 as well. The tech is cool but the shape?! Instant carpal tunnel issues, WTF! After trying some other mice I was fed up with it. Im not gonna wait till someone builds shit for me. Decided to model and 3D print some parts+hot glue to give it back some much needed volume and now it's perfect for me. I call it the Dazilisk now. If you have the means, definitely try to come up with your own ergonomics, it's quality-of-life +100 https://preview.redd.it/yax6svechtjf1.png?width=771&format=png&auto=webp&s=8552919154196a98564b0272c7da5f78d9886dbd

I think we might just be lucky. I own a basilisk v3 that has seen very heavy use over 2 years and is still going strong
