Based on 1 year's data from Jan 28, 2026 How it works
Deathadder used to be my absolute favorite mouse due to size and feel as ive got some large hands. Every single one has ended up getting scroll wheel issues after a year or two. I've probably had quite a few over a decade now. I swapped over to the Zowie EC1-CW and its been the best mouse ive ever used hands down. The scroll wheel is louder and doesn't feel super smooth or anything but ive had it forever now and have never had a single issue at all. My only gripe is the finish is super smooth on it and with my sweaty hands it wasn't ideal, but I threw on a $9 set of pads for the mouse and its basically perfect. They have a new one, the EC1-DW? I think its called which is a lot lighter but same dimensions basically. If you have big hands, this thing fits like a glove imo. Can't give it high enough praise.
502 is a big mouse, but maybe you want something where the hump is a little taller and more so in the middle. Ec1-dw or Xlite large v3 or 4, ec1 will be slightly taller and more forward and the xlite is similar but a good amount taller. Keep an eye on that Razer vertical mouse they announced maybe. How about an EC1-DW
Open the mouse and remove the battery. As long as it’s plugged in it should run anyways. Also if it’s plugged into the computer it runs over the wire not the wireless so there’s no „dangerous“ radiation
If you dont mind ergo - Zowie Ec1 DW is the biggest i had in hands. There are bigger ones, i know, but its the biggest gaming mouse i had.
Look at the ZOWIE EC1-DW, it is a 130mm long, palm grip mouse. If you have some palm left out, you can always buy an arm sleeve so you can slide equally well on the mouse pad.
Jumping straight into it as someone who has mained the EC series for many years now, specifically the EC1 with 20x10cm hands, its great to see Zowie doing their mice shapes justice and refining them CORRECTLY (looking at you razer DA). **SHAPE:** Starting with the most interesting aspect of the update in my opinion are the SHAPE CHANGES... Seemingly the shape has been quietly refined in the most positive way for my hands and grip style. The dimension changes on the Zowie website may seem suttle on the surface (changes in size are all under 1mm) however they do change the shape to a degree to which is noticeable in hand coming from the EC1-CW which ive used for almost 2 years now. Going into detail the mouse has generally increased slightly in width and slightly in height making the mouse supply additional support in parts of my hand (Pinky, and Base of Palm) I previously didnt get while still allowing for a pocket at the back of my palm (I use claw grip with my fingers extended to the front of the mouse). The hump to me seems to taper off slightly less towards the base remaining higher for longer or just being higher in general making for more palm contact and does offer a more prominent hump (ever so slightly) that i really appreciate. Next the right side of the mouse also offers a change in the actual shape to the front of the mouse, meaning its corners are slightly less rounded and more flat right at the top right of the mouse which for me is perfect as I my ring finger used to slant inward due to this issue on the EC1-CW, the pinky is also more supported and this is where the shape change is noticed the most, its like i lay my hand on the mouse and my hand is greeted where its at, no additional squeeze needed to tuck my pinky in anymore which I experienced on the EC1-CW, this will all be personal preference I can see some preferring the previous iteration however for myself this is an excellent refinement and amplification of what the mouse already had going for it. **Weight and QC** : Amazing weight for such a large mouse and being so well balanced it feels extremely enjoyable to use, QC is perfect on my copy as it was on my previous EC1-CW they feel as sturdy as eachother which is impressive seeing as they knocked off almost 20 Grams on the big boy. Clicks seem ever so more tactile but still light which is exactly what I would've asked for. **Performance:** 4k feels great and very responsive, never any issues with connection on Zowie mice so no complaints here either. **Overall/TLDR:** Best iteration of the EC1 there has been, shape has been refined to offer an even comfier more controllable experience, mouse feels slightly larger, which to some will actually be a negative but to me its created an even better experience truly a GEM for large hands. I believe the price was actually reduced in the UK aswell to £130 from £150 on the CW line which is also a bonus. Feel free to ask any questions :) \[UPDATE\] No longer my main, nothing wrong with the mouse per say, just still incompatible with my claw grip and large hands as my ring finger doesnt feel like its sitting on a flat panel just one thats got a rounded corner at the front that really offsets my micro adjustments like the previous EC1-CW. My 1/2 improvements to the shape would be to straighten out the front corner on the right side so it doesn't bend inward to the mouse, and next I would position the hump more toward the back, this would supply more support and height to the back of the mouse that would be perfection, changing the hump position more towards the rear would be more optimal on this shape for my claw grip.
If you experience pain or discomfort, you need both rest and recovery. I would advise you to temporarily switch to a trackball like a logitech mx ergo or Kensington slimblade pro for your officework. Also take regular breaks and do strengthening exercises and stretches. Set your desk height properly as well. Switching to a more relaxed grip style as well as temporary setting higher in-game sens will drastically reduce strain on your wrist and hand. With time you should recover and be pain free. Good luck. Ergo shapes depend a lot on your grip style and hand size as well. A safe ergo would be a zowie ec1 dw, or ec2 dw if you want something more mid size.
Zowie EC1-DW for sure. Your hands are basically the same size as mine. I'm using an EC1-C and it's honestly the best fit I've ever used.
I have the same size hands as you. Ec1 and Xlite v4 Large are both perfect fits Deathadder is a tad bit too small. The dex is ok. I own all 4 of these mice btw. Another mouse I do like is the Rapoo VT3 max gen v2. I would do EC1/Xlite Large > VT3 max gen v2 > Dex > X3 > DAv4 in that order. Ignore every other commenter here I own all of these mice (+10 more) and have the same hand size as you.
https://ibb.co/XZLsDbZ3 https://ibb.co/Zp7KCQDm The Atk z1 is not like the ec1. It's like the ec2 which is much too small (the blue mouse in the photo is the ec2 slightly larger clone the er21 pro which is still slightly too small). The Rapoo mouse I mentioned is much newer tech and much better for your hand size. Personally, the 4k Zowie dongle is what makes it worth saving and getting the ec1 dw. It's incredible https://www.eloshapes.com/mouse/compare?p=zowie-ec1-dw-vs.-pulsar-xlite-v4-large-vs.-atk-z1-ultra-vs.-zowie-ec2-dw-vs.-logitech-g-pro-x-superlight-2-dex-vs.-rapoo-vt3-max-gen-2
Zowie is great but their click latency is behind their competitors. Check rtings. You should pick the ec1-dw as it's bigger than the ec2. You can take a mouse suggestion test on zowies website. Or just get the deathadder v4 pro, if you care about click latency.
