Beyerdynamic - DT 770 PRO X

I love my DT770 ProX set. They’re honestly the most comfortable and durable headphones I’ve ever had.

To me DT 770 Pro X are almost uncannily comfy. Same with DT 900 Pro X. I feel that they're there, but they don't interfere at all. Same with FT1 Pro with thicker/firmer leather pads: slightly increased clamp, decreased headband pressure. They're there, they're weighty, but they don't bother me.

I just dipped my toes in to the audiophile hobby, my first purchase was a DT 770 Pro x, I also felt ‘meh’. I returned it and got the DT 1770 Pro instead, WAY better for me in my opinion. Clearer vocals and big sound stage for a close back.

The FT1 is superior in every aspect. For me, the 770 get's uncomfortable after about an hour without the Capra strap. Sound quality is objectively worse, it can Sound very 'closed in' at bloated. Imaging is good but does not come close to the FT1. Don't get me wrong, they are still good headphones but seem a bit dated in comparison.

I think you could give the 700 pro x a try. I compared both the 770 pro x and 700 pro x side by side and for me it wasn’t even close. The 700s sounded much more balanced, rich and overall better. The 770s are very sharp sounding headphones with a slightly rise in the sub bass but they also lack of mid bass which gives you the feeling of punch for example in short bass drum strokes (metal music). Overall they sound pretty thin with too much highs imo. I cannot point out how much more balanced and rich the 700s sound in comparison even though they are stated to sound very neutral.

I have a pair of dt770 pro x’s and they were LIFE CHANGING. Best pair of headphones I’ve ever had.

I've been using the DT 770 Pro X for quite a while now, and they're awesome, I already had a lot of BD Headphones (DT 770 Pro, DT 700 Pro X, DT 1770), but the 770 Pro X is my favorite by far.

I typically watch a handful of reviews on YouTube. I've come to know a few reviewers I really like -- iiwi reviews, askdrtk, and GadgetryTech, if you were curious. A couple of other things to look for when it comes to comfort is the headband material (metal is better because you can bend it and not worry about cracking/breaking it) and alternative pads. My Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro X's were pretty uncomfortable when I got them. Metal band so I put them over a stack of books (a little wider than my head) for 24 hours and tested comfort. It was better, but I also ended up swapping out the velour earpads for Beyerdynamic's softskin earpads.

Go for Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro X. I am absolutely blown away, especially when listening to music or gaming on pc. 10/10
