My Bose AE2 headphones are over 16 years old, i still use them every day at work.
Yes, they are indeed "Soundlink AE2"s. I've been using mine for more than 10 years now - gone through several sets of replacement cushions, but they still work flawlessly.
These are the ae2's I have the same pair, you can get replacement headbands on amazon. If you can solder the battery can also be upgraded pretty easily.
Much better when clean! These look just like my SoundLink AE2s that I stole from my husband 8 years ago (which he stole from his then-roomate, who knows how old they are lol). No ANC but they're incredible for work zoom calls
You guys will think I am crazy or old but in my opinion the best headphone ever made is an old Bose AE2W
I have multiple pairs of headphones from audeze to beyetdynamic in my opinion the best sounding headphone is an old Bose AE2W nothing sound so good regardless of price
First ever? Maybe a $40 pair of over-ear skull candys. I'm talking back in like 2013 but they broke so I got the Bose AE2 and I STILL use them to this day 13 years later
Was just reading this compilation this morning https://www.cnet.com/tech/mobile/best-wired-headphones/ Personally I never found one that I really liked. Used a Bose triport thing for about a decade before it fell apart. Now I mostly use 1plus triport earbuds and am pretty happy with them. I also have a planar Hifiman HE400i which is interesting but I think it convinced me that I don't care for open back headphones.
