I don't agree. Koss Porta Pro are way better than these. These are muddy af when Koss are dark but still clear

I have both of them and I can really tell you that the loss are way over these on all plans. You may dislike the tuning but you are not objective on the rest.

>Bass and highs are just not there. The mids are a total mess on any busy track Wait wait, you hear midrange? All I hear is just treble on these lmaoo. Dude, even for $20, these headphones are disappointing

Let's start with the basics, I am a huge fan of this form factor. My main pair for a long time was the Jays v-Jays for like twenty or thirty bucks. I have listened to almost everything out there, even weird stuff like the Coloud Knock and Sennheiser PX-200. I took a break from on-ears for a bit, and now I am trying them again. The positive reviews for these are total bullshit. The fit and the materials feel like a super cheap chinese knock-off. The headband is tiny, it feels like they were saving money on metal. I have a big head, but I never had this problem before. The materials are very basic. There is not enough tilt on the ear cups. The wires are as cheap as they can be. Sound is a three out of ten. Bass and highs are just not there. The mids are a total mess on any busy track. The soundstage is not just gone, usually that means it sounds like it is inside your head. Но here it is like I took some earbuds and held them a centimeter away from my ears. The sound just comes from two specific spots. I give it three points just because it works. They probably perform like $20 headphones, but the thing is, this form factor has always been cheap. I do not think they are worse than the Koss Porta Pro, because those have a worse fit and the sound is just as bad. But if you compare them to the real good classic on-ear headphones (which are sadly discontinued) like Aiaiai tracks, v-Jays, or Sennheiser PX100, then these are just complete trash.

It doesn't matter. They are BAD. Even for 20 bucks, they're just bad. This isn't what you expect from FiiO. If they were Ugreen, Hoco, or some brand like that, I wouldn't be surprised, but I expected more from FiiO.

I would have bought them, but they are not on marketplaces in my country, and I cannot return them. I will just wait for now, maybe they will show up. These fiios are going back to the seller.

It bothers me that people compare them to the Koss in reviews. Especially since the Koss sound is just mid-bass bloat and muddy garbage.

Oh and another thing, they are really hard to drive. A regular phone definitely won't cut it. That is super strange for this form factor, and it is going to be a real pain for daily use.

My opinion is based on dozens of headphones I’ve listened to, including the classic HD280Pro, K240, M50x, DT770, 880, DJ1200, Chinese chi-fi, VE Monk, some no-name iems, various Superlux and Takstar models, and modern flagship Bluetooth headphones from legacy brands like Bose, Sony, Sennheiser, and Marshall, as well as Chinese ones like 1more, Moondrop, and Soundcore. On top of that, I’ve listened to many obscure headphones, as I mentioned in the review, I’ve owned four Jays models, plus Coloud (the people behind Urbanears who make Marshalls now), I’ve heard the Knock and the Boom, V-Moda, Marley (if anyone remembers that brand), and Monster also made good headphones when not under the Beats brand. Both the Koss Porta Pro and the FiiO Snowsky Wind are trash. They are so bad that it doesn't matter how much they cost. For Koss, this is normal, every pair of their headphones I’ve listened to has been trash. But from FiiO, I expected more. The bottom line is - they are too bad to even be rated. It’s very strange for this brand. This is the level of some random $5–10 noname headphones from AliExpress.
