Based on 1 year's data from Mar 17, 2026 How it works
After trying a few headsets (steelseries arctis nova 1 and 5, Razer blackshark) and even a wired headphone/mic combo (Sennheiser hd599) but hating the wired part and the mic in front of my face, I settled on a Cloud 3 Wireless. The Cloud 3 has a very neutral sound out of the box, and it takes EQ very well. Also the build quality is insane without getting too heavy, and the battery life of 120 hours is more than I will ever need.
Unlike what everyone says here, if you *really* want a gaming headset with a build in mic that is completely removable take a look at the HyperX Cloud 3 (or the new S version). Usually gaming headsets have a lot of bass and overall poor sound quality. The Cloud 3's on the other hand have a very neutral sound signature. Not that they lack bass, but compared to other "gaming" headsets it's a lot less forward. I think gadgetry tech has a good review about them on YouTube.

hote hai brother, many Fortnite pros use hyperx cloud 2 wireless, cloud 3 wireless, it works great
I had my hyper X cloud headset for like 7 years. Replaced the foam ear cups twice as they started to fall apart. The headset and mic still worked flawlessly. Decided to upgrade this year to the Cloud 3 wireless and it is amazing. The boys don’t have to hear me heavy breathing during intense moments anymore because it has filtering. No wires. And the batteries last like 20 hours or something. I plug it in every two weeks. Huge recommend on the HYPERX CLOUD III WIRELESS
Hyper X cloud headset. Had my originals for 6, almost 7 years. Replaced the ear cups twice. Only reason I moved on is I wanted wireless
HyperX Cloud 3 s wireless. They’re on sale on Amazon right not for like $120 I think. Astro A50x. People will shit on these but I always end up coming back. Feels pretty open, so not as immersive. Audeze Maxwell. if you like heavy things on your head. I don’t think the directional audio in my experience is as good with these than the other two. Nova Pro Elite. If you want to throw $600 at your problem and get sound a little worse than the Maxwells
pretty poor. I believe you imagine the same thing I tried, to use a higher end full size headset over the headstrap. its a mess and uncomfortable, most headsets are pretty snug on your head and you cant really put them over the headset on to your ears, ive tried with a hyperx cloud wireless 3 and it didnt work out.
I grabbed the HyperX Cloud III Wireless a few months ago and it’s been great !
Yea honestly I don’t really need additional features. I’ll might just try to get a white Cloud 3 S Wireless then for acceptable price and give the black to my gf or one of my friends if she doesn’t need it. Also I just realized how low the battery life for the Astro is. That’s a no go.
Still on them HyperX cloud lll wireless 🛜 they are pretty good .
If you don’t want additional features then the Cloud 3 S wireless is a great headset. I would add the WC StealthZ pads and call it a day. Between the options you listed only Astro A50 Gen 5 is worth it IMO and comes in white. Having said that also get some wicked cushions if you want to improve comfort. I personally use the HyperX Cloud 3 S. It takes EQ well, has the best comfort out of all listed options, I can wear it all day and battery lasts forever. My 2 cents.
Hahah.. these sound good but unfortunately he js not looking for cheap plastic crap build. Which headset above mentioned IS.
Yes. I bought them and returned.. because they feel plastic and cheap comparing to fractal scape, steelseries nova elite and pro,
