Porta pro and ksc75 are my most used headphones. I love them, but the original porta pro headband isn't for me, hurts my ears. With an express parts headband they are perfect, I also have the hd560 and ft1, but I prefer these. I just wish there was a more comfortable and cool headband, some people make fun when I am using them.

you bet I will currently I got some Chinese 10USD IEMs, they irritate my ear canal, got a little better with foam eartips but still not comfortable, and they sound kinda muddy but good for the price. then I have the Koss KSC75, I can wear them indefinitely and the sound is great and clear. They will be the benchmark. I will also get a fiio 5k pro for 115EUR on Aliexpress since I want to see if "expensive" DACs will make any difference (I currently have a random 5EUR apple dongle equivalent). wish me good luck on my beginner audio journey, I've done too much research, I want to get my hands dirty now. I swore to myself that I will be honest and tell the world that my purchase is not worth it if that were to be the case.

Koss (75, 30i, 40) wouldn't be my first pick for metal and they're all on-ear not over-ear, but they are light enough that it shouldn't be a problem. They have basically no sound isolation though so maybe not ideal. I'd also recommend the 688B over the 681 having trialed both.

Koss Porta Pro, KSC75 and SHP9500 are the OG affordable audiophile grade gear. Even these seem overpriced in comparison.

How did you break it after a few months, I have a pair living on my desk for the past 3 years and they still work perfectly fine.

Some questions for you: * Which sounds the best? * Which is most comfortable? * Which is the best balance of being comfortable and sounding good? I find the KSC75 pretty uncomfortable. The Audio Technica ATH-EM7x is more comfortable, but not great for stability and also it sounds quite bad. Overall I prefer flatheads TBH, but I'm still curious if there's a good clip-on out there.

Seems like a better KSC75 to me.

Ksc75 treble way too sharp sold that thing very quickly. The reduction in bass is the only thing worse here.

DCA Aeon RT, those are my daily drivers for PC use. They feel like pillows on my ears. KSC75 are good enough if you don't mind the earclips. I like using these for VR.

r/headphonesI 🧡 hot garbage: review & defense of JLAB Rewind
6 months ago

I have some other retro headphones from Panasonic but those are wired. The sound with those is good to great but the foam material is somehow giga itchy on my ears. Doesn't happen to me with the KSC75 on a headband for example. I was also thinking about getting those Rewinds from JLab because they look comfortable but I was also aware that the sound on those is really not it. Was thinking about getting the wireless KPH30 instead.
