It depends on the use case, for music I would advise the Sennheiser 599, not wireless though.

I actually recently ordered HD 599s they came with a factory fault, Sennheiser has been ghosting my support tickets for a month now.

I bought HD 599s from Sennheiser recently, they sent me a defective unit and now are ghosting my support tickets. Buy with caution.

I would not get Sennheisers, they recently shipped me defective products (unbalanced audio channels (left right) and bad quality compared to the used ones I have now) and have ghosted my support tickets for a month now. If you want Sennheisers get them used and make sure they are from 2021 or earlier.

Bang is fucked, so is Sennheiser from my experience. Sennheiser especially only has customer support on paper. They shipped me a broken set of HD 599s and have ghosted me for a month now.

Sennheiser is buggered recently. I bought a pair of HD 599s from them recently, not only was it a defective product, but they also ghosted me for a month when I tried to contact them. By the way, they have not yet contacted me.

Because I bought HD 599 SEs from them recenlty, and they shipped a defective product (unbalanced audio channels (left right) and bad quality compared to the used ones I have now). That alone would not be so bad, but I started contacting their support and they have ghosted me for a month now.

Yea you are correct, and I do not trust Sennheiser after they shipped me defective products (unbalanced audio channels (left right) and bad quality compared to the used ones I have now) and ghosted my support tickets.

I have some Beyer DT990s i need to fix. My cat chewed the cable in half and so theyve been sitting in a box waiting for me to creck em open and replace the cable. In the meantime ive been using the HD599 from Sennheiser and they have also been great

honestly, its still extremely bad. somehow all reddit people know to name only the worst headphones on the planet. momentum 4 ... ts... all the marketing stuff pushed onto people. while the real studio geeks only talk HD599/Dt770/Hd600. basically the xm6 only wins from childs headphones. factually the sennheiser HD599 (can be had new for 100 dollars some places), is far overboard better than the xm6. and the HD600 is worlds ahead. and believe it or not. when you upgrade frequently, you eventually pass over the price of some of the bestheadphones around. such as the focal bathys (if you truly have to be wireless), but you wont ever overcome a HD600, or a focal elear. and if you are really rich, the yamaha yh5000se is the best. the xm6 is highly overrated and not even better than the sennheiser HD280. if a headphone hsa a generation number, your quaranteed to be fucked by the company. those are the worst options to choose from. Get a focal bathys now, and youll earn it back, skipping generations, or if you really love your music: i dont even recognise my music for music if it aint on a HD600 or better. on the xm6, music is just noise to me.

So i bought a pair of HD 599's and can't help but feel a bit disappointed, maybe it's because I've only ever used closed back headphones previously but they just sound a bit... boring or hollow? Anyway I'd like to play around with EQ to get the sound more to my liking but can't seem to find a working solution as I'm having to use a slightly odd setup. The headphone port on my pc no longer works so i have them plugged in via a Razer USB sound card (for a blackshark headset) but the razer eq software does nothing, equalizer apo turns off the sound completely once installed... I'm at a bit of a loss. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

If you want to maximize comdort and audio clarity my personal favorite are Sennheiser. Sennheiser 650 - highend Sennheiser 560s - midrange Sennheiser 599 - lower midrange Try them out and you'll be very pleasantly suprised.

Ive own all 3. All good for spatial sound in games like R6, COD, OW, Marvel Rivals, etc. My personal favorite goes to the 650's but that could be recency bias.

I would recommend getting him studio headphones and a microphone separately, rather than these gaming headsets. What is your budget? I imagine it's around \~$150-200 judging by the price of some of these? Shame you didn't ask before Prime Day... The 560S would have been on sale in that range. You could go with the **Sennheiser HD 599** for $116. A good option. **Audio-Technica ATHAD700X** for $120 is another good one. (My only issue with the Audio Technicas are, I have to use a large-ish hair tie on the headband to wear these comfortably. Otherwise it's too loose. But I still love these headphones.) Beyerdynamics headphones sometimes go on sale for $130, but I'm not seeing any right now that low. They also can be harder to drive, so that's probably ok to avoid for now. I didn't for the 990's in Val, but maybe that was just me. And for a microphone. I own quite a few, but one of the best one you can buy right now without spending a $100+ is the **EPOS Gaming B20** for $23. I consider it a premium sounding mic, but its discontinued so it's been super cheap. Punches way above it's pirce. I use it over my Blue Yeti, but not over my Wave3... both $100+ mics. So that in total ballparks around $150 for something I'd consider better than gaming accessories.

SHP9500 and HD599 are two of the most comfortable pairs I've tried. SHP9500 being the "most loose" on my head when wearing it (if I tilt my head upward or downward, it would fall). HD599 is like a "less clampy" HD6XX. I can wear it for a long time without getting headache.
