No no no no no ignore all of these people in the comments not trying to be rude but I'm so telling you your best option will be to go to your local Best buy look at the headphones selection look at the skull candy headphones and then buy a pair for about $130 called the skull crusher 540 Honestly any of those Skullcandy over ear headphones in that price range are going to be absolutely perfect and will blow away so many more expensive models. No joke they are actually unbelievable headphones for the price

I too started out with Hesh and since then I've owned a few pairs of Crusher Evos and just now updated to the 540s. I love Skullcandy.

Second this. I tried the 540s but returned them. I ended up getting Wicked Cushions for my anc2s and it sounds amazing

Perhaps Sennheiser battery implementation is better than others. But even the best batteries have a service life. It’s an expected failure point, and the refusal for a company to identify this issue is an example of consumerism at it’s worst. I had a Drop Panda and two Skullcandy Crushers completely die in exactly a year I could have ordered a appropriate replacement battery and soldered in myself except the cup housings were snapped and glued to be permanently sealed. I really don’t understand what companies have against putting a cover plate on the electronics to make it accessible. It doesn’t require complex engineering to make a headphone serviceable. It’s just designed obsolescence and corporate greed IMO.

I loved the crusher wireless except for the fact that the hinges kept breaking and even super glue and electrical tape didn’t hold it for more than a couple months so I had to lay them to rest and switched to the Evos and have not looked back!

r/SkullcandyThe Skullcandy Over-ear Headphone Breakdown
2 months ago

**Overview of the Breakdown** I have used quite a bit of Skullcandies over the years, from the Hesh series, to the Crusher series, and even the Riff series headphones. I haven't tried very many of their earbuds, since I'm not really an earbud person myself (I don't find them very comfortable, and whenever I talk I always get this voice inside my head feeling when wearing them more than when I wear any closed-back over-ear headphone). So, this will focus more on some of Skullcandy's over-ear headphones. I have realised that while I have reviewed some of Skullcandy's headphones and shared my thoughts on them in some comments, I have never done a full breakdown of every one I have owned, which is what this post aims to do. The Skullcandy headphones I'm covering will only be ones I have personally owned. This will include the Hesh ANC, Hesh Evo, Crusher Wireless, Crusher Evo, Crusher ANC 2, and the Crusher 540 Active. Unfortunately, I cannot speak on some of the other new models Skullcandy came out with, which includes the Crusher PLYR 720, the Aviator 900 ANC, the Hesh 540 ANC, or the Hesh 360, since I don't currently own any of them. If I ever do get them in the future, I will do a review of them. Nonetheless, in this breakdown, the headphones I will be covering will be scored on these categories: **1:** Design & Build Quality **2:** Fit & Comfort **3:** The Listening Experience (Will include the Crusher bass from the Crusher series headphones) **4:** Features & Functionality (Will include any noise cancelling features from headphones with noise cancelling) **5:** Price to Performance Ratio The scores of each criteria will be averaged into a total score, I will have a list of the 6 headphones I'm covering from worst to best in the **bottom** part of the post. Remember that this is just my opinion, and your experience with these headphones might be different from mine, so take this with a grain of salt if you must. **Total Scores** **5: Crusher Wireless: 4.9/10** **4: Hesh Evo:** **5.7/10** **3: Hesh ANC: 6.7/10** **2: Crusher Evo & Crusher ANC 2: 7.4/10** **1: Crusher 540 Active: 7.55/10** Sidenote: Since the full breakdown is too long to fit inside of this post, the detailed analysis had to be put into a [Google Doc](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1C_y-phkp4KGD6eRJvkXu9jZSP20Y4C49JA9uxPD8eI4/edit?usp=sharing). I think these scores reflect pretty accurately how great of a buy each of these Skullcandy headphones are. Even though the Crusher 540 Active barely nudges out the Crusher Evo and Crusher ANC 2, I think that those three Crusher headphones are definitely the best value you can get from any pair of Skullcandy headphones. The Hesh headphones are okay for users who don't want the Crusher bass, but ultimately, they aren't going to blow the competition away, and there are better headphones you can buy at those price points. Unfortunately, the Crusher Wireless isn't a good option nowadays, even with the 2024 revision. Its design flaw is what really holds it back from being a good buy, and for the haptic bass experience, the other Crushers outclass them in just about every way. I hope this detailed breakdown offers more perspective into my thoughts and feelings about these headphones nowadays, and how they fair in the general Bluetooth headphone space. If you want me to make any changes to this breakdown and it's scoring system, let me know.

Bruh. Skullcandy crushers are awesome. I've got an OG pair and a newer pair. They are both badass. I love how hard the bass goes.

Anything from the skull candy crushers line. The bass is insane, it feels like a sub is attached to your head. Very good for feeling the music and getting in the zone
