I don't celebrate Christmas in however I asked my mum to get me the Soundcore Q30s as they were on a 50% off deal which reduced them from £80 to £40 so I got them quickly and after 4 days of using them I can say that they are bloody spectacular. First up is the bass, it is shockingly good and you can feel the headphones vibrate, 2nd is the noise cancelling and it is bloody amazing, reduces sounds a lot and it has outdoor, indoor and transport modes and it is just amazing, comfort is a big factor for me and it's very comfy. Nice squishy earcups and some more foam pad on the headband is also really nice on the top of your head, The addition of aux is very nice as it allows me to use my Sony cassette player. If you are looking to buy headphones I would highly recommend the Soundcore Q30s, I also was about to forget the battery which is also great as Soundcore is with Anker you know the battery is great and I have not had to charge the battery since it came at 60% and 5 days later it is still going at 20% unlike before with my earbuds when I was having to charge them even 3 times a day. [https://amzn.eu/d/0G7ukHc](https://amzn.eu/d/0G7ukHc) Final conclusion is that they have bangin bass and the Soundcore signature sound is really great.

I agree with you, plus since Soundcore is a sub brand of Anker you know the battery life is going to be the best out there.

There are diminishing returns in the audiofile/hifi space after certain price points. I have not noticed a significant decrease in ANC between the q45 and q30. Any difference was not due to software. If you look up OPs reddit history, they are young and have significant health issues. $50 might not be much to you or I, but that can be a significant challenge for someone living with their challenges.

Agree with the Anker Soundcore Q30 which comes in right at your price point.

I use Soundcore Q20i. Dirt cheap, comfy, and do the trick. My wife has the Q30 simply because it had nicer colors and it's also great. When I want to be discreet I use Soundcore Liberty 5 in ears with foam plugs (or just plain old loops for passive NC). Honestly I'm happy with my setup as is, but I also kind of fell in love with the Nothing over ears, so... 👀

I love my soundcore q30s I live in a small house with thin walls and these cut out so much sound without even turning them on but add in some music and it's like I'm in my own little bubble.

I think your choices are good. I think you’ll like the JBL. For SoundCore, I love the Q30–it’s my favorite budget wireless headphone—but the Space One is probably a better overall deal. Still, the comfort on the Q30 is great for me. The Q30 does need to be EQ’s though: default tuning is bad. JBuds Lux is also good. If you want good battery life and a decent sound, the Kiwi Ears Ardor (140hrs), but I find the sound on this to be a bit too sharp for me in the upper region. They said they’re coming out with EQ, but I don’t know if this will fix that. Great for movies and music, didn’t love it for ebooks or podcasts due to this. Still, it’s one I really like, nearly as much as the Q30, and it’s better in a lot of ways.

Yeah, that or the JBL. I own the Q30 and have only tried the JBL at stores (multiple times, and like it every time), so I do have a bias. But again, definitely needs to be tuned. I’m traveling and don’t have mine, so I can’t offer that right now.

Adding to the support for Anker Soundcore. I've got a pair of Liberty 4 buds and a Life Q30 headset, they're both great, although the Q30 can start to feel tight if I wear it for longer than an hour (I wear glasses). The Liberty 4's came with 4 sizes of in-ear rubbery bits, and I ended up going with different sizes for each ear to get a good fit - the fit is usually my complaint about earbuds, so I'm pretty stoked that both stay in place. One of my favourite features of the app is the white noise generator: I like mixing the raindrops, wind in trees, and purring cat, for when I'm not listening to something but don't want just the hiss of the noise cancelling. I swear I'm not AI.

I disagree. I have / had several different soundcore headphones and earbuds. They are objectively bad tuning wise. Also there is no consistency in their sound signature. Every model sounds different. That being said, if you want a pair of wireless headphones with ANC, especially on sale for 40 pounds, it's a good deal. I have used them for work for a couple of years and they have a good battery life, decent ANC, and they're comfortable. Very reliable as well. I had q30, q45 and space one (and like 3-4 earbud models).

My pair I bought some years back just finally had the material separate. Never a single electronic issue yet.
