"A good robovac is a life changer. Even a $350 basic S8. It is a great place to start. ... I promise you that you will not be disappointed by a basic S8. It will change your life even if it can't fit under every piece of furniture you own. ... My two S8s just finished vacuuming our entire house in about 46 minutes. ... While my floors were being cleaned, I sat comfortably on our patio in the cool shade with a slight breeze and composed my far too long response to you while sipping a diet soda and relaxing. ... I will have to spend about four minutes maintaining my two S8s. This will be my entire contribution to my home floor cleaning effort for today. Four minutes!"

"Like 500$ these robots are currently the steal of the century ... You can get a mova p10 pro ultra (cannot remove its mops), equivalent to the l40/x40 for 500$ after a discount code"

"I got the Q5 Pro for $139. ... costs $450 less than what I paid for the S6 ... it is the best value option out there imo."

"I use it on a construction site clipped on to my tool belt so it’s pretty much perfect"

"I am now solely using a Instago 3S right now due to the just compact size and weight. ... I am mostly shooting FPV sports for small segements and I don't even realize I'm wearing it on my hat."

"I settled for the Insta360 Go3s which allows me to record discreetly while leaving my hands free. ... Now I just place the tiny 4k camera on my cap and record my POV in my travels."

"Also pitched it on bare rock using rocks to hold the stakes on a decently breezy night and it was pretty bombproof."

"the 3LCD technology is completely free of the rainbow effect (as it turned out, I'm super sensitive to RBE: I got a headache after watching a show on the Hisense C1...)"

"I say JVC (as an ls12000 owner!) you will get better black levels - if that’s important to you. ... What I would ask is are black levels really important to you? Whilst the Epson is very good it’s not as good as JVC. ... If it helps, I’m very happy with my Epson after a few tweaks. But I wish the black floor was lower - purely personal concern having owned JVC."

"The 500 is great for dedicated home theater. ... Amazing projector though. The picture quality is top notch."

"The internal speakers are surprisingly good. ... It worked for sure, and was very comfortable for watching content ... I wouldn’t feel the need to rush into buying an audio solution right away after getting your projector if you go with a Valerion."

"built in speakers are amazing"

"The benq isn’t really bright enough to do that and looks really washed out with the lights on."

"Contrast is not good compared to a TV if any lights are on. ... it’s quite washed out but if I need to see something I’m doing I just deal with it. ... If she has the eyes to comment on contrast I don’t think anyone would look at a projector setup with lights on and not see obvious washing out."

"The Epson is a lot less bright than a full sized projector, and won't compete with ambient light very well at all."

"there is no native netflix (except for a desktop /browser version) we use apple tv for that"

"add - I also wanted to add to my post is that no Netflix support and probally no point in trying and it you looking for that it may be worth it to get thr mogo 3 or 4 pro as it has that support. I dont care for it as I have a PS5 and I donr rely on the android 11 os tv to do my entertainment I just wanted something basic with YouTube it has it so that'd fine. But a big con not for me but for others is lack of Amazon"

"the other possible inconvinience would be netflix app not available"

The MX550 is a decent XGA business class model for cheap use in a classroom and shouldn't be on your list under any circumstances. You should be looking at a 1920x1080 (1080p) native resolution projector at the very least. Make sure you know how to look up specs at Projector Central, and check for used or refurbished models which may be a good deal. The EF12 is similar to the EF22, as reviewed in this video... [https://youtu.be/ClIboELoz74?si=iK8cbMVobveJdzmy](https://youtu.be/ClIboELoz74?si=iK8cbMVobveJdzmy) It's also been reviewed at Projector Central... [https://www.projectorcentral.com/Epson-EpiqVision-Mini-EF12-Projector-Review.htm](https://www.projectorcentral.com/Epson-EpiqVision-Mini-EF12-Projector-Review.htm) That YouTube channel and Projector Central are websites you should become quite familiar with if you want to make an informed purchase decision. The Epson is a lot less bright than a full sized projector, and won't compete with ambient light very well at all. The main thing you want to focus on is light control in the room.

r/projectorsPSA for anyone thinking of buying a $100 Chinese projector off Amazon…
6 months ago

If the rest of your setup is like that, absolutely. If you actually have a screen though, get a better screen. One of my suite mates had a cheap China projector, and my roomate and I used an epson mini ef-12. Epson obviously blew it out of the water.

r/projectorsIs a 4 K projector worth it?

I’m no pro but I’ve been here on the forums for a little when I was researching and I would say consensus here would probably say yes it’s worth getting a screen if you’re considering upgrading to a decent setup. This is all relative and dependent though. If you were going to spend $1000-$3000 on a good 4k projector that you can game well on, I’d say you should probably support your investment and bring it to its potential. If you’re spending $1000 or less and you are likely using a lot of keystone and just don’t want a screen, then I’d say just do what works for you, your needs, and budget. If you use a lot of keystone and aren’t setup to reduce it or not use it at all then you’re going to lose image quality and add input lag. That’s not a huge deal if you understand that and buy into an upgrade with those expectations. With lighter play on the switch the input lag added will probably be mostly acceptable. It really depends on what you want and what you need and then how much you’re willing to spend. You could spend $3k on a projector to use on a multicolor and textured wall at a big angle using a lot of keystone and you know, that’s fine and up to you if the budget is not a big deal. If you want the best experience possible on a $1500 budget then you’ll get the best results with a dedicated screen or painted wall area and a setup that removes use of keystone. I don’t know what you’re budget is and again I have limited experience here but I have used the Nebula 4K SE and would say for the price it’s pretty good for 4k and adequate for noncompetitive gaming. I started with the epson ef12 which was perfect for a small bedroom projector and limited space. I then got the Nebula for the living room and some gaming and it’s been pretty good. My latest was recently getting the Hisense C2 Ultra for everything and while the black levels will bother some for the price, it’s been an impressive projector for me. In the end it’s about what you want, what you need, what you can sacrifice, and having your expectations in check for what you’re getting and can afford.

r/PokemonZALegends ZA on a projector

I play ZA on an older version of the Epson EpiqVision Mini laser projector. I got this projector because it is a good quality build for a reasonable price, and with a laser light source. I didn’t want to deal with fragile projector bulbs. Input lag is negligible, although “experts” at twitchy games like Smash might notice a difference from playing on the Switch screen directly. I’m using a second hand overhead projector screen that I can pull down when I play and pop up and away when I’m done. The projector needs to be about 6 feet away from the screen. The EpiqVision has two HDMI ports (like a TV) and a decent built in speaker. When I watch movies with it, I typically connect it to my Apple TV/Homepod, but the projector does also have some smart TV functions.

r/projectorsIs the Cineglow worth the 43$ on amazon?

Kind of depends what you want it to do. If you want a full 4K home cinema, you're looking at $1500+. If you want base HD to do large movies for novelty, there's an Epson Epiq that's about $500 that'll work. The $1500+ ones are unbeatable though, I won't go back to a TV if I have a choice.
