It has been a long time since these came out and if they haven't been revised or updated then I can only give you the general impressions I remember from listening to them years ago. I remember thinking they sounded a bit thin with the low end lacking impact and articulation. Beyond that I remember thinking that they had a pretty wide soundstage and decent detail retrieval given their relative affordability and a treble region that rolled off quicker than I would've liked. Keep in mind, back when these came out they were very much designed with actual monitoring of performances in mind as opposed to the majority of the IEMs we see these days being geared towards musical enjoyment. That means that many of the IEMs from that period often sound flat and lifeless in a musical enjoyment scenario compared to more recent offerings.
I’d vote for in ears but don’t go too budget or you’ll regret it. Stay away from the little plug in type devices. We’re a five piece with three singers using Audio Technica ATW 3255 with no problem indoors and outdoors in WiFi congested areas. Go down the rabbit hole a bit on IEMs make sure you know what you’re getting into. It’s a whole other realm of live audio.
