I wouldn't say so. I have the zs 10pro x and had the zs 10 pros with some other shittier KZ models. I still think these were the most thought through. The new slop they make feels like a way to pull as much money as possible, KZ ZS10,12,69 pro, x, extra, ultra. Just fuck off. Same opinion about other brands, moondrop, 7hz.....

I would stay away from KZ, probably most of their products in general. Not sure if they have changed, but a few years ago, KZ was just pumping out the same stuff over and over again, putting fake drivers, listing it under different names, specs, and prices. But all sounding the same, as in almost exact FR graphs! I bought the KZ ZS10 Pro X years ago; they are very sensitive, so they have a terrible noise floor (constant low white noise when no audio is playing), which can be really annoying, even for the average person, maybe unusable depending on how sensitive your ears are. The seller gave me 2 replacements, and they were all the same. Thought it was my hardware, tried a range of setups, from balanced out to standard output Apple dongle, Fiio DAC/amp, high end desktop DAC/amp, it's still present and noticeable. I remember the noise floor is significantly better on my high-end desktop dac/amp with balanced out. But what's the point of buying a cheapo IEM but needing an expensive dac/amp to use it lol I have the Moondrop Arias, heaps better than the KZ, no annoying noise floor, and they are great, not sure about the Chu's, but i have only heard of good things about it. Also, if you're in Auckland and into IEM, addicted to audio is fantastic; they have a store in Newmarket, "that you can sample."

If you can, go for custom molds. Otherwise you can get a lot of bang for your buck with chifi IEM. Something like KZ ZS10 Pro X are totally unrivaled in bang for buck to any name brand. You get alot more hardware for your money than with Shure. Attenuation is 100% about seal, so if no custom molds, get good quality foams

As others have suggested, KZ has several models (I recommend ZS10 or ZS12 Pro X) that cost peanuts and they outdo most big brand IEMs up to like.. 500usd price range. You might need to get better foams for them, as depending on model they may not come with any.

Do you want the BEST, or do you want good IEM with good "bang for buck"? My recommendation for anyone who isnt 100% set on spending 500-3000€ on custom mold high end professional stuff is KZ Audio ZS12 Pro X. ZS10 Pro X are also fantastic and maybe easier to find. They are so good and so cheap that you can buy a couple of pairs as backup and one for your mother. And they outperform most things under 300-400€ in my opinion. And even if they quite dont, they still only cost a few dozen bucks. I've been using KZ pretty much exclusively for like 3-4 years now. I have 3-4 bands and I probably average around 6 hours of band rehearsals a week. I play maybe a dozen gigs a year with them. You do however need good foams with them. ZS12 Pro X comes with some foams i think, but ZS10 dont. Get Comply foams or something else good. Also they lack the thing that couples the wires at the back of your head which is a weird omission and one I really miss, but you can use tape or something else to do that yourself

KZ Audio will have you set for anything that isnt sold out arenas, and would suffice even there lol and wont cost you a whole lot. If you want the real deal, then get custom molds. But with like.. 50usd and potentionally adding better foams on them you can manage perfectly fine. I use KZ ZS10 Pro X and ZS12 Pro X. I also have ZS10 Pro 2 but I dont recommend those. That said, I'm a bass player first, but I have literally no interest consider something like Shure that costs 3-10x as much, has less hardware and at best sounds as good as the 50 buck pair of KZ. Of course when you start to go into the expensive range of Shure they likely pull ahead, but by that you are also paying a minimum 10x as much.

ZS10 Pro X and ZS12 Pro X are both much better than Pro 2, which was a pretty bad misstep from KZ. But yeah definitely try KZ.

I went from more expensive stuff to KZ ZS10 Pro X (and Pro 2). And still recommend them to most people at most levels. Ofc theres better stuff if budget is over 500€, but below that theres not much better stuff. Most likely will have to get aftermarket foam tips for them, as they dont usually come with any. Good seal is paramount to hearing bass

Comply memory foams. I have two pairs (Pro X and Pro 2). For bass I prefer the Pro X for some reason, even if the Pro 2 has those tuning dip switched. The other pair uses comply and the other pair has foams I took from my old Mackie IEM

I just wrote this elsewhere: Do you want the BEST, or do you want good IEM with good "bang for buck"? Also they lack the thing that couples the wires at the back of your head which is a weird omission and one I really miss, but you can use tape or something else to do that yourself Okay, KZ could definitely be seen as "cheap chinese knockoffs", but they just are either way better than anything from a "more reputable brand" for the same price, or they are way cheaper than anything they could be compared to. For example, for Shure IEM to even match the hardware in ZS12 Pro X, you are looking at a price tag of like 500€. It's definitely not about just the amount of drivers that makes an IEM good and I its likely that Shure with the same amount of hardware is the better IEM, but again. We're talking 50€ vs. 500€ and the KZ are REALLY. FUCKING. GOOD.

Hi, thanks for replying:) I’m currently using UUDU, I think I’m doing well. I don’t know if there is any difference if I have switch 4 on top instead of switch 3. So far I love them, I think they are too good, but of course, I come from a zs10 pro x and I’m just getting to know this world haha. How are the rampsody by the way? :)

I have to say, they have improved a lot over the years. Now i have in daily use the KZ PRX and the KZ Castor bass edition, they sound great even on high volumes, but last weekend i tested the first IEMs i bought from KZ, the EDX PRO and, wow, what an evolution, at low volume they sound ok, but you put some volume there and they sound awfull to say the least. I had too the KZ ZS10 PRO X, they are better than the EDX but they have too shrill high notes on high volumes, thats why i have gone to the Castors and now the PRX, they sound fantastic for the price in my opinion.

First of all: I am not an expert in hi-fi. I'm just a simple man who was looking for good IEMs, and this is only my subjective opinion. The IEMs I was looking for should cost between $50 and $150 and should have balanced, lively bass with pleasant treble that does not tire the ears. So far, I have tried many IEMs and tested them on my PC and smartphone without any additional devices. No DAC, no amp. It was important to me that they were ready to use right out of the box. For me, good sound is when it is carried by lively bass and deep frequencies that guide you through the music, especially for drum and bass and metal. Low frequencies, and especially bass, form the basis of a good listening experience; that's the primary purpose of why I prefer hi-fi headphones, to get into it. My rotation: **≈ 50$ IEMs which I tested:** LINSOUL TANGZU Wan'er LINSOUL SIMGOT EW200 MOONDROP CHU II LINSOUL 7Hz x Crinacle Zero:2 KZ Castor LINSOUL KZ ZS10 PRO 2 LINSOUL KZ ZS10 PRO X **≈ 100$ IEMs which I tested:** LINSOUL SIMGOT EW300 ARTTI T10 Pro TRUTHEAR Hexa Surprisingly, only two of the IEMs I tested impressed me with their overall bass reproduction. I couldn't decide between the KZ PRO 2 and the ZERO BLUE 2, but in the end I chose the BLUE 2 because it offers the best overall package. For me, the ZERO BLUE 2 is simply badass right out of the box. These were the only IMEs that had this deep sounding I was looking for. https://preview.redd.it/fm66t5fl5uef1.jpg?width=4000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=87099e1c617e96b62bb51f28fe01520ebe96a0c6 https://preview.redd.it/pyn3x43m5uef1.jpg?width=4000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=721c67332e8f8dd3db7ed8ac6e948c098e174871

I have a pair of KZ ZS10 Pro X. I use memory foam tips and the soft, moldable earplugs to create a tight fit and they are great. Even on a loud stage I have excellent isolation and even had to ask for more drums once, which I never had to do with my previous in ears.

Used to use Mee M6 Pro but they've been relegated to backups. Now using KZ ZS10 Pro X. Our vocalist switch to the ZS10 Pro X from SE425s because he wanted better bass response.

My first IEMs were the KZ ZS12 Pro X and the KZ Castor Pro Bass. I still have them, and they have a pleasant signature, powerful bass, and bright treble. I do recommend them, especially the KZ ZS12 Pro X because everything is much clearer. Based on your preferences, if you're looking for something inexpensive, I recommend the Moondrop Chu 2, KZ ZS10 Pro X, Truthear Hexa, Truthear Gate and Truthear Zero red
