"I would say that the resolution and technicalities are probably one of, if not the best in the price range."

"I love the supermix for music."

"If you know how to EQ, it’s a great set that punches above its price. ... For anyone upgrading from budget IEMs, this is one of the best options without emptying the wallet."

"I really like treble to the point where they r sibilant. ... The treble details is just great"

"i really love the SM4 for the technicalities ... by default they can get really piercing due to the Planar & PZT managing the trebles, but it's something you can ease with some EQ without degrading the audio quality (compared to other pairs you can easily EQ them) ... and you get a really clear and precise sound (blew my mind honestly) ... i'm used to the insane trebles of the SM4"

"I would say that the resolution and technicalities are probably one of, if not the best in the price range."

"There's good space in the sound and it's good for gaming. ... if you're playing more immersive single player games (City Builder, Stardew, Monster Hunter, God of War) there's enough immersion to feel the weight and impact of key moments."

"for media and games, the contrast is top notch, way better than something neutral imo."

"For gaming and or just big sound the supermix 4 is best"

"FPS gaming these are fantastic."

"supermix is great for gaming but also everything else."

"Supermix 4 are the most comfortable IEMs I've tried"

"100% the fit and comfort & quality of the SM4 is worth the extra for me. Perfect seal with SpinFit CP145 avoiding the tedious at times foam tips."

"The IEM itself is made of resin with a metal faceplate, and being made of resin it allows for a comfortable fit. ... Also SM4 is properly vented with two vent holes, something uncommon in hybrid IEMs. This helps equalize pressure inside the ear, making it more comfortable for long listening sessions."

"supermix4 hurt my ears, too much treble for me ... I didn’t think the supermix 4 sounded much better, but the highs were much more aggressive. I played for 1/2 hour and was in pain."

"everything is just super high pitched n supermix and genuinely unusable just because of how nassally and unnatural it makes female voices sound. ... And after a few days I just realized how ear piercing and unnatural the supermix was and so that was kinda it, I didn't wanna use supermix for music anymore."

"I found the SuperMix 4 too bright and fatiguing until I tamed it a bit with SpinFit W1s. ... (Otherwise, I could only listen to the Fall Out Boy discography for ~30 minutes. No such discomfort with my other IEMs.)"

"the nozzles not having a lip and I guess I have oily ears was a bad combo. ... The tips always stayed in my ear when I would take the IEMs off. ... Cleaning the ear tips twice a week didn't help all that much."

"Size can matter also, I have SuperMix 4 also, they can handle busy tracks very fine, but they are big and it's an issue for my ears."

"the Simgot Supermix 4 was too bulky to have a nice fit."

"I'm not a fan of Harman Target’s midrange presentation. It sounds both shouty and thin, whether for male or female vocals. ... The 200Hz bass tuck, combined with the elevation in the 3-5kHz range, makes it annoying to listen to. ... SM4, however, is the complete opposite of my taste, tuned to sound cleaner and analytical in the midrange. ... But the 200–300Hz dip is still an issue, making everything sound thin."

"Everything sounded very artificial ... I didn't like the tone at all ... the notes lacked weight and it was too bright ... I tried them on a Fiio K5 Pro Ess and on a Kiwi Ears Allegro Mini dac dongle and the result was equally disappointing in both cases."

"I dont like the supermix 4 because of its piezoelectric transducer. ... You can immediately hear when it sets in and it ruins the entire mix."

16

"The first flaw is its super slow attack on bass notes. ... Bass notes are almost slurred into."

"they have only more bass which sounds terrible."

"Everything sounded very artificial ... I didn't like the tone at all ... the notes lacked weight and it was too bright ... I tried them on a Fiio K5 Pro Ess and on a Kiwi Ears Allegro Mini dac dongle and the result was equally disappointing in both cases."

"No way supermix4 is neutral ... It was far from neutral. It sounds v-shape imo"

"If I connect to the iPhone using the apple 3.5 adapter it's all too sharp for my liking."

I have used Supermix4 and they are 8ndeed very nice especially in fps. Then I switched to Blessings3 which are also very nice but also better for music.

r/iems • Are these the “best” gaming iems? any recommendations for a good cable with a mic ->

Well I own supermix 4 : its is highly technical thats for sure …. ( not a VERY audiophile listener but have interest in this hobby ) … thats the first thing I noticed about them thay they are hight technical… very detail can be heard …. It lacks midbass … though not that fan of too much mid bass so its ok… can’t fault vocals…. Vocals seems great … soundstage seems really good for price point

planars are renowned for their clarity . typical planar tuning makes vocals come off as sounding metallic though but ymmv something liek the simgot supermix 4 would be great though. hybrid with harman tuning, female vocals really shine on this set

r/HeadphoneAdvice • In ear monitors with best clarity ~150$ ->

supermix is a good set yeah. usually pure planars like s12 pro aren't rec'd for fps gaming cause many of them have very boosted higher frequencies which can effect staging, not sure how the ultra's hold up though but many use and enjoy the supermix for gaming

There’s a method to the madness…at least for my case. I didn’t wildly trust any “professional” reviewer…I got a few (3) of the community rec’d IEMs…to see if they’d suit me (fit, sound, curiosity) Think the total I spent on those was less than what a Hexa would have cost. I, too, came from BT devices…Beats Studio Pro, Beats Fit Pro…I was done with all the BT junk. Didn’t bother with BT hooks and dongles and such. Compression…power…it’s ALL lacking. Anyway, AFTER listening to my 3 sets for a bit…I went back to “professional” reviews on YT. Watched the review vids of those IEMs…and decided on whose views and opinions I aligned with. From there….I was able to make slightly more informed purchases. Yes, it’s usually best to test drive audio gear in person…and buy from a local outlet with a reputable and dependable return policy. For some, that is not possible. I have disposable income…and can afford several sets of Hexa or even the Supermix 4 on a whim. I didn’t think it was sensible to dive in when there are cheaper AND community recommended sets to try. As for BT…if I’m going to use BT for convenience…I would stick with the usual suspects instead of introducing dongles and ear hooks. BUT…that’s just me

I’ve been using the Artti T10. For music i like the supermix4 better, but for gaming the T10 is so damn sharp, fantastic.

The Supermix 4 when using it for general video watching. The mid scoop really messes with vocal audio. The Blessing 3 for how bright / sibilant and clinical it was. I think these two are my favorite IEMs in terms of looks and design, but their sounds were disappointing.

While I probably understand where you’re coming from, neutral is at least mathematically represented as a flat frequency curve. But I agree. I have pretty solid studio monitors at home. I thought of complementing it with a somewhat reasonably priced simgot supermix 4 since the curves seemed more Harman like. While it is true to tuning, I’ve realized I care a lot about transient response (spoilt by my other setup) and imaging, not much about soundstage (again influenced by near field monitors). And while the iem does well in imaging, the transients are just not upto mark. But both have their sweet spots depending on how I feel that day

IEMs have better sound, better tuning than similarly priced Headphones. But most of the IEMs don't come with Mic. IEMs also have varying sizes of Nozzles that go deep into Ear-canal, fit can vary, some are comfortable and some can cause pain. I am using Simgot SM4 for gaming and they are very good for what they are. I don't enjoy my TWS now and have to incur extra charges on Apple Music for Hi-Res Music. For FPS games, consider V-Shaped / Harman Sound Signature. For Immersion/Story Games, any Signature will suffice.
