"I have the ear shape where in-ear headphones always make a loud bumping sound when I'm moving, so AirPods 4 give the benefits of noise cancelling and great sound without the in-ear effect. ... AirPods 3 always fell out my left ear but they dialed in the size perfect for the 4's, they sit perfect and I've never had it fall out or shake loose doing sprints and a full marathon."

"Took them on a 2hr walk with my dog today and had no issues. First IEMs I can actually wear laying on my side in bed."

"Literally couldn't think of any pair of IEMs + dongle dacs could sound as analytical as the C3P+ for around $70. ... detail is just sooo much better. The C3P+ is just leagues ahead the I5 in terms of detail and resolution. ... the C3P+ is actually the closest sounding one to really expensive iems or headphone that I have."

"Crazy good from the jump! ... When you factor in they're only $99 and go toe-to-toe with Bose QC Ultra at $299, this is the deal of the year!"

"Can't recommend them enough for the value, sound like $200 earphones."

"For gaming, these are perfect. ... As a valorant immortal, tier 2 and premier player, I can confidently say that the imaging and soundstage are spot-on. ... Footsteps, directional cues, and in-game sounds are incredibly precise and natural, giving a competitive edge without any unnecessary bass/treble bloat."

"For gaming the Tea Pros so far are a 10/10, I play mostly Hunt: Showdown and the additional separation, staging, and tighter but punchy bass were all noticeably better for my ears."

"endgame ... Otherwise I probably wouldn't use any other IEM for gaming but this ... The best was definitely the EM6L where I felt nearly no difference in performance with my headphones ... The EM6L is by far and away the best iem for fps gaming. ... But as of rn the EM6L is the best imo ... The EM6L is still king of gaming in my opinion. ... Em6l is still end game."

"I love the bass and the vocals—both come through clean and clear. ... Bass is punchy with good sub-bass rumble, but it stays clean and doesn’t bleed into the mids. ... It’s got a nice texture too—more balanced and fun compared to sets like the Zero 2 or Hola."

"these do perform extremely well in vocal and instrument centric songs. ... everything else felt like a day and night difference between the hexa and the enco buds, especially vocals."

"Clarity/detail retrieval is great. ... Figuring out different enemies from there footsteps is easy. ... it was the 1st time i realized just how detailed footsteps, gun reloading and shooting sounds in val were after I used the iems. Insane."

"The bass is slow and sludgy on the Cadenza. ... They can't keep up with faster tracks. ... If you're listening to metal, prog, acid jazz, etc... then you may have some issues with that. ... Fast, heavyhitting techno? Not with these."

"I personally felt the bass was pretty anemic on it and I'm not a bass-head. ... Less bass than the ER2xr, Blessing 2, Blessing 2 Dusk, IE 200 etc. ... Very thin sounding. ... They have less bass than the Moondrop Blessing 2. ... They have less bass than the Etymotic ER2xr. ... They have less bass than the Sennheiser IE200. ... Just not enough bass and I"m no bass-head."

"The subwoofer is weak and almost non existent."

"They certainly have treble issues ... if OP feels that the Hexa are a bit sharp, he'll feel that with the Tea Pros. I know I did. ... The Tea Pros actually made my ears ring ... if the OP is finding the Hexa sharp, OP'll probably find the Tea Pro a bit fatiguing, too."

Either Tangzu Wan'er SG 2 or Tanchjim Bunny. Bunny is out of stock for now.

Wan'er 2 is small-medium in size. Tanchjim bunny is small size but out of stock and leaning more towards neutral.

Maybe you should try Tangzu Wan'er SG 2? It's budget friendly, and it sounds really good. Unless you somehow don't like the sound signature or a really picky audiophile. Then there's not much to complain about. But the best part is the accessories, Tang Sancai ear tips. This is usually sold separately, and generally a good and praised ear tips. Made from medical grade silicone too, should help if your skin is sensitive. If you decide to buy another IEM, maybe a better one. Although what's good or not is usually subjective. Then, you can rest assured knowing you at least already have good ear tips to use. But for your first IEM, this one is not bad at all. Try looking for the review here or on youtube so you can have a better idea of its pros and cons.

The best overall in budget is the **TRN Conch** for everything as it is, because every component it has is durable while bright which might not like by others including yourself. It's an all-rounder comfort that's not hated by everyone, but also not the best. Then I rank **Tangzu Wan'er SG 2** `Jade Version` as second because It might sound better for you but with a potential fragile durability to consider. The most comfortable to the majority is probably the **Moondrop Chu ll**.

r/iemsBest IEM's For Pop?

I'll suggest the cheap ones. For female vocals with sparkly treble, the **Tangzu Wan'er SG 2** is a genuine option. I can't promise if it's not sibilant for you. For boosted sub-bass with extended treble, the **Kefine Klean** is a compact choice. You have the option to increase upper mids. For bright vocals with expansive bass, the **CVJ Neko Youth Edition** is nice to consider. This never gets sibilant. For complex mixes with tasty bass and great deliverance towards mids and treble, the **TRN VX Pro+** still performs like a champ. Guaranteed toi have some sibilance though.

All of them have own advantages. All good just consider better deal and your preference of sound. Waner 2 is a good package for its content otherwise its on par with others. Wyvern is good looker, though fit can be issue as it quite large, I returned them due to this but I'd say best sounding in the 4. Cadenza is all rounder OK. CHU2 is good due to DSP.

i only have experience with CHU II, Wan'er SG, crin's Zero 2, idk bout the others, but chu II is prolly the most comfy, its light and sturdy, u should go for chu II, crin's zero2 is just good, nothing else, good is just the perfect word to discribe zero 2, wan'er sg early batch that i got (black&white) build quality isnt so great, the green one is the newer one, u can also go for the studio version, its better

New in the IEM community? Recommended to follow these things before using, while and after using your IEM. 1. Buy an IEM case or if you have case for it (like the Hexa or similar Truthear IEMs), make sure when you are not using it put it there to avoid accidental misplacement or possibly breaking your IEM or the cable, as well as avoid excess dust coming to your IEM. 2. Put a silica gel packet onto that IEM case, this is to avoid moisture seeping inside the IEM. Which is one common way to kill your IEM, it degrades the glue used, degrades the faceplate, sometimes even the design and finish of the IEM. It can also affect the actual drivers inside, which will degrade audio quality. Minimal moisture, happy IEM. 3. Eartips, make sure you have the best fit with the best sound isolation to fully experience the IEM. IEM nozzle sizes can vary. From what I have heard the Hexa has large nozzle. 4. Cabling, you are open to get a cable on your choice, use it like a fashion statement haha. 5. Recommended to get at least a DAC, its not a requirement if you cannot get one but it will definitely enhance your sound experience. With a much more proper DAC/AMP setup even your in-line microphone will sound nicer. Though because its much better to separate your microphone from the IEM cable, usually its recommended to at least get a USB dongle DAC with the CX31993 DAC + MAX97220 AMP. But if you can afford a better DAC/AMP setup, why not. 6. Avoid accidental dropping or being too rough with your IEM, so you won't need to always rebuy another set of IEMs. No IEM will survive especially cheap ones if it keeps falling accidentally or being used too hard. 7. You can EQ your IEM, definitely you can especially if you want to enhance a specific frequency. Lastly, enjoy your IEM to its fullest extent and welcome to the IEM community! terms of vocals, nothing really beats the Tangzu Wan'er SG or the Wan'er 2. Maybe abit of treble, sparkles, and soundstage, that would be KZ Castor Silver. But vocals is still better for the Wan'er SG/Wan'er 2.

100% I would basically just add and test this to my growing IEM collection. Especially now I have owned and tested the original Wan'er SG. Left: QKZ AK6 Pro (previous daily driver) Center: KZ Castor Improved Bass (current daily driver) Right: Tangzu x Headphone Zone Wa'ner SG (tested, decent and amazing sound for its price, but Castor still is a winner for my personal sound feel) https://preview.redd.it/n06vww0aevoe1.jpeg?width=4160&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=929adbc51920b99189669a3df55df1e5c72da86f

Here's a better shot on my IEM collection, including their wires (only the Castor uses a Jcally cable) https://preview.redd.it/o8pbd3bhkzoe1.png?width=4860&format=png&auto=webp&s=272174ff663d3f3e19b836b44602eb45b097d142 I use medium QKZ stock tips on my QKZ AK6 Pro (left) I switched my Tangzu wide bore small tips from the Wan'er to the Castor My Wan'er now has the small QKZ stock tips (QKZ tips has both small and wide bore, but the Tangzu tips feel much better for my ears, less fatiguing) Later on I might try going for their Sanchai tips. Wide bore/hole = enhances mids and treble, I went for this for my Castor Small bore/hole = enhances bass Wan'er SG sounds amazing for daily use, definitely not super fatiguing, very mellow and light to the ears as well. Though it lacks some mids and treble. For my Castor Black, I use UDUU switches (natural bass and enhancing the mids and treble, creating a more balanced sound) Then I used the Tanzgu small wide bore tips, to enhance the mids and treble abit more. I prefer a V-shaped bright sound signature with some level of warmness, which the Castor Black does deliver on my sound preference.

I always tell people before buying your IEM, watch this [video](https://youtu.be/tdmXjBlgVxo?si=82265OfGs1grRYGx) from Stevensoul Constanza. Will definitely help you significantly to reduce or point your IEM you like. We can't just tell, this is a good IEM for "x" person because sound feel can be different from person to person. I myself have tried the Tangzu Wa'ner SG, and I didn't liked its muddiness and lack of treble. Though I liked its sub-bass, but lacking that nice smooth bass. Coming from a KZ Castor Bass UDUU switches for tuning. https://preview.redd.it/4bwuop29dape1.png?width=4860&format=png&auto=webp&s=08640edb86d91309a6e97e51ffe08fc6aea2d0fa I don't recommend these IEMs as well to the OP, but they are super budget options, below $20. So it depends on the OP. Especially that on the left, that's just for my memories, had alot of fond memories on that IEM haha. But sounds muddy now and bass too boomy vs the Castor.

r/iemsIn-ears for gaming

And for your question, IEMs for gaming maybe at or under $20 or less. Tangzu Wan'er 2 * New and will improve the original Wan'er SG, 2-pin 0.78mm (better than QDC) * Pre-order and no reviews yet so far. Tangzu Wan'er SG * Mellow and easy to daily drive both physically and sound comfort wise, one of the best stock eartips I experienced. Best low sub-bass I experienced. * Might sound a tad muddy footsteps especially Valorant, uses QDC connector. Moondrop Chu 2 * Great all rounder for competitive gaming, light and small, metal case and 2-pin 0.78mm. * Bass might be lacking for some, and especially single-player games, might be abit treble harsh sounding for some. KZ EDC Pro * General all rounder, punchy bass with good clarity and highs. Great for general single-player games and maybe some online games as well. 2-pin 0.78mm and light to wear. Mellow and not treble harsh sounding. * Might muddies out footsteps especially Valorant KZ Castor * Silver version - A more versatile version of the EDC Pro, has the better soundstage a bit, can change sound feel from a neutral bright, neutral, and abit bassy. uses QDC and might be a tad heavier in the ears, treble harsh especially at its treble and mid focused tunings. * Bass version - Best avoid with competitive games, especially Valorant. But great with single-player games that are cinematic and has alot of cutscenes and environmental stuffs. QDC and heavy as well. KZ Castor Pro * Silver and Bass versions - same with the OG Castor, but a tad bit physically heavier. There are definitely better IEMs on slightly higher price range of $50-80, but they might be expensive for you. You can wait and save some more money for a more pricey set.

r/iemsIdk if this is even a fair comparison but which one do you think is best for me as I've never bought an iem before.

tbh in the end, it boils down to 1. Tuning 2. Looks/Visuals 3. Accessories 4. And your music library or genres you listen 5. Treble sensitivity = sensitive, go to Safe tuning Kiwi Ears Cadenza is the safest tuning out in the two, but the tuning might not work with some music genres especially if you want a tad bit more analytical or technical. 7Hz Salnotes Zero 2 is a bit more technical-ish than Cadenza and with a tad bit more treble. The safe tuning is also up there with the Tangzu Wa'ner SG/2, which is fine for me but I still ended up with KZ Castor Silver because of abit more technical sound experience and generally abit more brighter feel. In the end its hard to say one is better or the other until you hear the difference between the two or atleast if you have a headphone then EQ it to either, or test your treble sensitivity via speakers or headphones. I like the original KZ Castor Improved Bass, and still is my daily driver to this day Might also go buy and try the QKZ x HBB, I already have initially started my IEM journey from QKZ (CK5, AK6, then the Pro) Enjoy what you like and love 👌 Though I am now currently doing a test with the Wan'er SG (as it just arrived, also I know Wan'er 2 is coming, and I have also bought silica packets for these, less moisture) https://preview.redd.it/4zuciio1ogoe1.jpeg?width=4160&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ebd409ae8297df465174eae4deb71f6cfc09449d

$25 and lower * Tangzu Wan'er SG/Wan'er 2 * 7Hz x Crinacle Salnotes Zero 2 \* * Moondrop Chu 2 * KZ Castor Silver (UDDD switches) \* $25-60  * Kefine Klean \* * Inawaken Dawn Ms \* * Truthear x Crinacle Zero Red \* * Truthear x Crinacle Zero Blue 2 \* * Kiwi Ears Cadenza * Tripowin x 0DiBi Vivace * Kinera Celest Wyvern Abyss * Kinera Celest IgniteX Beast \* * Tangzu YuXuanJi * KBear KB02 \* * KZ Zenith (UUDD switches) \* * KZ Castor Pro Silver (UDDD switches) \* Or any other neutral warm IEMs, but the two Truthear Crinacle are the closest one with minimal mid-bass. Or go for planar IEMs, which their bass is speedy decay enough to be not too much mid bass: * SGOR Luna * Artti T10/T10 Pro * NiceHCK F1 Pro * Shozy P10/P20 * Letshuoer S08

|WARM|BALANCED-ish|BRIGHT| |:-|:-|:-| |Tangzu Wan'er SG (neutral warm)|Moondrop Chu 2 (mild v-bright-ish)|7Hz Salnotes Zero (neutral bright)| |Kiwi Ears Cadenza (neutral warm, with a touch of bright)||Simgot EW200 (mild v-bright)| All of them are good at their price point, but basing on your other IEMs, you prefer a mild-v tuning, either abit bright or abit warm. * KZ Castor Harman (Silver) which is a neutral bright to mild v-warm from switches * 7Hz x Crinacle Salnotes Zero 2 which is a mild v-balanced with a warm-ish feel * KZ EDC Pro is a u-balanced with a touch of warmness Kiwi Ears Cadenza has better brightness and air vs Tanzgu Wan'er SG, and personally experienced some minimal lower midrange mud with the original Tangzu Wan'er SG. Tangzu Wan'er SG 2 kinda fixed most of the issues with the original Wan'er SG, but its still a neutral warm IEM. Simgot EW200 has more energetic and brighter sound signature than KZ Castor Silver (Harman), but KZ Castor Silver has better soundstage and image separation vs Simgot EW200. Moondrop Chu 2 is the smallest on all of these, but might lack overall sound experience abit vs both the KZ Castor Silver and 7Hz x Crinacle Salnotes Zero 2. 7Hz Salnotes Zero is more neutral bright, lacks bass impact vs 7Hz x Crinacle Salnotes Zero 2. (fairly similar to KZ Castor Silver at DDUU/DDDU switches) * So if you want a little bit more warmness but retaining some balanced feel, Kiwi Ears Cadenza * If you want more treble energy and abit more analytical, Simgot EW200 * If you want a small IEM, Moondrop Chu 2

then go for a single DD IEM or 2DD with neutral or harman/harman-ish tuning, avoid going hybrids or planars. With the price range there are decently ones but I am unsure if they include a cable with included microphone, excluding every IEM we already listed before: * Kefine Klean \* * Tripowin Vivace \* * Moondrop Lan * Inawaken Dawn Ms \* * Kinera Celest Wyvern Pro * Tanchjim Bunny * Tangzu Wan'er SG 2 \* * Simgot EW100/EW100P * ZiiGaat Nuo \* * Truthear Gate \* * ISN Neo 1 \* * BLON BL-03 * BLON BL-03 II * BLON BL-05 * EPZ Q5 Pro \* * TKZK TK-02 * KBEar KB01 * KBEar KB02 \* * KZ Castor Harman (Silver) \* * KZ Castor Pro Harman (Silver) * KZ EDC Pro (\* recommend)

r/iemsKZ Castor Pro (Silver) or The Tangzu Wan'er SG or Kz Castor with improved bass(og)

Castor Pro (Silver) might be touch bit brighter (abit more leaning towards neutral bright) than the OG Castor Silver, OG Silver seems to have a little bit more smoother sound experience than the Pro Silver. OG Silver, even in FR graphs is more versatile from neutral bright to a Mild-V warm-ish tuning. On the Tangzu Wan'er SG 1, yes its really warm and chill sound experience, though same with your guess it sounded abit too relaxed. Wan'er SG 2 changed that, so you can definitely go for that one as well. If you like bass, then Castor Bass definitely. Imaging wise its better than Tangzu Wan'er SG 1, though male vocals gets drowned, female vocals does not get affected as much. This based on my own personal experience on all 3 https://preview.redd.it/pq76zelzj8xf1.jpeg?width=9720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1e9a811c03703d0c885fd03d7a806392ba2ec491 Though in the end, these are just subjective and personal opinions, everything will end up on your own preferences, likes, and dislikes.

r/iemsTrying to get my first iem out of these picks (bunny, cca phoenix, wan'er 2) recommendations? I also explain my needs below.

If you want a metal shelled IEM, durable enough, well balanced-ish tuning, treble detailed, good instrument separation, most likely not shouty, and best unboxing and nice set of accessories included. But "may" sound tad bit siblant, closer to Harman (some are tired of Harman), and lacking on eartips vs the others, and being a Metal shell (there are some issues on moisture with metal shell, which can be fixed by taking care of the IEM and case with silica gel when not in use). CCA Phoenix is for you. A little bit leaning towards a bit of a brighter but non shouty or fatiguing sound, good details, technicalities and instrument separation, and with its DSP version has app control and can be EQed via app to be as balanced as the others. Unboxing might be less exciting, cable might lack that pzazz. Tanchjim Bunny is your pick, full 3D printed resin shell, no issues on moisture on resin for the most part, but its plastic, case is fabric. (I would prefer to go for the DSP Type-C version, unless you prefer 3.5mm analog) Then there's the Tangzu Wan'er SG 2 Jade, If you want a vocal forward/focused IEM, a little bit warm tuning, nice unboxing, better selection of eartips (inclusion of the Tangzu Sancai tips, many love this), and a nice looking resin shell, nice looking cable, But may sound a bit shouty or a bit brighter for some, lacking the warmth for some especially Tangzu Wan'er SG 1 lovers, and no included case. (Two versions, analog and DSP Type-C cable, same as Bunny)

* KZ Castor Pro (Harman Target with Improved Bass * Big bass, slightly cleaner bass than OG Castor, but may sound sharper trebles a little bit vs OG Castor. And the shell are known to be big for some people. And if you some like experimentation and tinkering with it's switches. * 7Hz X Crinacle ZERO 2 * Warm-ish leaning, may lack some technicalities than newer IEMs on your selection. * Tangzu WANER SG 2 * Warm-ish leaning, personally a little bit more balanced than Zero 2. Shell departed to the old style, so shape maybe a little weird for some. * Moondrop CHU 2 * Older IEM, Balanced-ish set but a little bit tinging to bright, because of its minimal bass punch. Smallest shell, but is plagued with corrosion for some people. * CCA PHOENIX * Balanced IEM, with some portions of its treble region may sound a little touching bright. Metal IEM with no paint so its a fingerprint magnet, metal IEMs usually can have issues with moisture (but can be alleviated by silica gel inside the case, and putting the IEM inside when not in use) * Truthear GATE * Balanced-ish IEM, though personally its a little bit tinging to warmness (not as warm as the OG Wan'er SG), technicalities average at best. * Tanchjim BUNNY * Balanced-ish, technicalities, details, and soundstage focused. Weird shape, but may work with many ears. DSP version is better overall because of the Tanchjim App support and included PEQ. Within your selection (based on your criteria), I would rate them like this: 1. Tanchjim Bunny (Both versions) 2. CCA Phoenix 3. 7Hz x Crinacle Zero 2 4. Truthear Gate 5. Moondrop Chu 2 6. KZ Castor Pro (Bass) Terms of soundstage, instrument separation, and details: 1. Tanchjim Bunny (Both versions) 2. CCA Phoenix 3. KZ Castor Pro (Bass) 4. Moondrop Chu 2 5. 7Hz x Crinacle Zero 2 6. Truthear Gate With the DAC, a simple JCally CX31993 DAC/AMP, like the JM6 Pro is enough. If you have an iPhone, get the Apple Dongle (US version). But if you want features and additional stuffs like hardware-level Parametric EQ, there's a bunch. But the cheapest with alot of enough amount of features is the TRN Black Pearl. Zero 2 should be a little bit more on the warmer, sub-bassy, Phoenix and Bunny would be slightly less warmer (closer to balanced feel)

r/iemsIem recommendations please. Prefer vocals.

You could initially start with the Tangzu Wan'er SG 2 (best get the Jade edition just for the included IEM case, other Wan'er SG 2 has no case included)

If you have never had any experience with IEMs, maybe you could try these [Tangzu wan'er S.G II](https://amzn.eu/d/gQa09ZN). I bought them for my sisters, and I tested one pair while mine were under warranty. They worked well for gaming and listening to music.
