"My biggest problem is the size of the ear tip .. But this is solved now! 😁"

"Not to mention very comfortable too. ... Blue 2 is much much better in comfort! With smaller nozzle size and overall size of the iem."

"it's definitely not fatiguing for long session."

"the bad is amazing"

"For me, the ZERO BLUE 2 is simply badass right out of the box. ... These were the only IMEs that had this deep sounding I was looking for."

"Really nice sub bass rumble ... comes with a bass adapter to further boost the bass thump ... aim for the bass"

"directional audio is amazing can hear all the opponents"

"For gaming, these are perfect. ... As a valorant immortal, tier 2 and premier player, I can confidently say that the imaging and soundstage are spot-on. ... Footsteps, directional cues, and in-game sounds are incredibly precise and natural, giving a competitive edge without any unnecessary bass/treble bloat."

"Dude they are fantastic. ... Even in that game I can distinguish foot steps with explosions happening all around me."

"As someone experiencing high-fidelity audio for the first time, this has been a game-changer (SERIOUSLY). ... The level of precision and detail and naturality in the sound is truly number one I have heard so far. ... Really liking this so much, 100% recommended for first timer."

"Blue 2 i personally feel that the vocals and treble is just nice 👌, and smooth! ... if you like vocals you will like these definitely!"

"The blewtwo sound maybe 92% similar to the Chopin *based off of auto-eq though, so that's a pretty good deal ... for how closely the tuning sounds to the Chopin, and potentially even closer with certain ear tips, this seems like a reeeeaalllllyyy good value as it's essentially a budget Chopin with very minor eq-able, or tip changeable differences, and it's less than 3x the price of the Chopin."

"Its crazy how much quality 64.99 can get you in 2025! ... Indeed, and its freaking me out on why do I need to spend more than this"

"they are the cheapest and hit the "Harmon target" the best which is good for gaming"

"Mine just arrived… and I found it weak as hell. ... Max volume on both my phone and PC, and the headphones just don’t deliver. ... Even my girl’s cheap QKZ AK6 is WAY louder. ... the iem is like weak even on max volume, the bass adapter just makes it more bass tuned but also even lower volume. ... I don't understand how these new IEMs needs a external amp to get even closer to what those old Razers could deliver with just the power of an 3.5mm jack lmao"

"I just want to say the duelsense will not be able to supply proper power and they will sound HORRIBLE."

"No, I've got them and they don't sound great if you just plug them into your pc raw. ... You need to buy some other extra thing. Not worth the hassle, imo."

"the bass is soooo overpowering. ... Gunfire and explosions always over power footsteps, it’s unplayable."

"the zero blue 2 is NOT a good IEM for gaming at all. ... the sub-bass isn't overemphasised and drowning out the lower midrange (the frequencies where footsteps actually are)"

"what I noticed with the blue 2s is that the imaging is not accurate at all"

"Don‘t get any iem with big nozzles as your first iem. ... There is a high chance you find it so uncomfortable that you think you just don‘t like how iems fit in general. ... I did exactly this mistake with the Truthear crinacle zeros."

"My earholes aren't meant for it's "GIRTH""

"the nozzles does things to my ears they didn't consent to."

"there is some killer harshness in the top end with silicone tips that makes them almost unusable with treble heavy material."

"The Blu2 can sound hot/pretty spicy. ... Blue 2 is sort of riding that borderline of harshness, and if you're treble-sensitive, it's definitely harsh for you. ... The Chopin is tamer here in comparison, whereas the Blu2 is more of a peakier kind of treble, even with the foam ear tips. ... Blue 2 seems more song-specific because of that treble. ... Female vocals on Blu2 are more unnatural, not in a bad way, but more of a more pronounced and clearer way, and can sound almost sharp and almost shouty for some songs that really emphasize those areas, but they are overall controlled. ... Deal-breakers - If you're Treble-Sensitive"

r/PUBATTLEGROUNDSCompetitive FPS IEMs (~$100) – Hexa vs EM6L?

My favorites for PUBG so far: \- Kefine Delci Angel Ears (Delci AE) 70€ \- Tripowin Vivace 30€ \- Truthear Crinacle Zero blue 60€ \- Simgot EM6L 100€ \- QKZ x HBB 20€ (but short-lasting) What I wouldn't recommend: \- 7Hz Salnotes Zero (partrially usable) 25€ \- Moondrop Chu 20€ \- KZ Zex Pro (CRN) 30-50€ I do have the HD 560S, and I use them balanced using the 4.4mm cable and the Akliam PD4. They, like most headphones, cause "gamer hair", and that's a look I can't rock at work. That's why I mostly use IEMs. I also use the IEM-s with 4.4mm cables.

My personal rankings for stuff I've heard. I'm a neutral/neutral bright guy. (My post on reddit goes somewhat in depth on all of these, sadly I'm not very technical in my language) Kotori Audio Zephyr (Duh) Truthear Hexa Tangzu Yu Xuan Ji (might be too bright for some but easily looks the prettiest by a *BIG* margin) Truthear Gate (My current set, would upgrade to one of the options in the list in a few months) Tanchjim 4u (Bang for buck) Truthear x Crinacle blue 2 (tachjim 4u has better value) Aful Magicone (very similar to hexa) Moondrop May (A default starter set for almost everyone regardless of taste.) Letshouer s08 (not my taste, great value, premium for the price) Letshouer dz4 (not my taste, great value) Moondrop Chu 2 (My previous set that are lying around somewhere) Tangzu x hbb Xuan Nv (just because of the fit) Kotori Audio Vampire I'll check out your YouTube!

For first IEM in your budget also agree on the Hexa. It is truly neutral, great definition and clarity, and has a somewhat more reasonably sized nozzle. However, it can be too analytical, and when I'm listening for fun, I rarely go for them. Fun and enjoyable to me is more the Defiant, Artti T10, and Zero Blue 2. I hear the Pure is nice for some, but it is warmer (more bass and lower midrange, less upper midrange/treble). For a first IEM that's lower cost, I like the Truthear Gate. Great soundstage on it, and it's one of the most comfortable iems I own. The Wan'er 2 also makes the list, especially the new emerald dragon edition, but the Gate just hits perfect for my ears.

Look into Truthear Crinacle Zero BLUE 2 using the stock silicon eartips not the foam like most will recommend. It almost graphs or has the same frequency response in the treble and air region https://graph.hangout.audio/iem/711/?share=Ear_(1),BLUE2_S37

Didn't stop me from getting the Defiants though 😆. Fits really well to my collection as I tend to rotate sound signatures quite a bit. My main rotation of Hexa (Brighter Neutral), Pure (Warmer Neutral), Blue:2 (Hard V-shape), and Defiant (Soft V-shape) satisfies my cravings well (for now).

Pure's a good pick, especially since you want neutral but with a bit more body. Bass is also more present compared to the Hexa. Haven't heard of magicone myself, but graph suggestes the treble may be a bit spicy? Explorer is also pretty good when I listened to them, though I went with the Pure between the two for my warm-leaning set. I'd probably wait a bit to see what the Moondrop LAN II brings, since apparently there's going to be 2 versions (reference and pop). If you found the Hexa to be thin, the Zero Blue:2 is probably not for you (I have and enjoy it, but it's not really what I'd call neutral and the mids are pretty thin). One more set that I would recommend is the Juzear Defiant. It's not neutral, but it's fun and balanced. From my main 4 sets (Juzear Defiant, Truthear Pure, Hexa, Zero Blue 2), it's the set that's easiest to recommend to someone that doesn't know their preference (though my favorite is still the Pure/Hexa).

r/iemsLooking between two Truthear IEMS for gaming and music
7 months ago

I have both, but I'm not sure how I can help without knowing more of what type of sound you prefer (since they are VERY different). The specs aren't really as important as that. I can give some goods and bads of each one, but at the end it will depend on your sound preferences. Zero Blue 2: +Really nice sub bass rumble, and comes with a bass adapter to further boost the bass thump +Overall sound "feels" more spacious, because of the thinner mids and brighter treble +Has a mic variant that comes with both a mic and non-mic cable -Vocals can sound a bit thin and shouty -VERY source dependent (don't plug it straight to your PC, a cheap dongle like the Jcally JM6 Pro is good enough) -Treble can be sharp depending on your tolerances and eartip choice (included foam eartips or aftermarket deep-insert silicone eartips may be preferred to balance it) Pure: +Balanced warm-neutral tuning that's very nice to listen to for long periods +Natural sounding vocals and bass +Very safe treble while still being detailed -Sense of space is more intimate because of the warm-leaning tuning -May be "boring" because the bass and treble isn't overemphasized Between these two, I'd choose the zero blue 2 if you lean into competitive FPS gaming or aim for the bass. Otherwise, I find the Pure to be a safer choice for music. There are also a bunch of other options in the price range though, which may be better suited for you (again, depending on your preferences)

You absolutely need a DAC for the Zero Blue:2 (and for literally any 3.5mm headphones vs mobo audio) Get a dongle DAC. If you’re US-based buy the Apple USB-C to 3.5mm dongle and use that.

Jumping in here for a second just in case you find what I have to say useful. Harman target IEMs, like the Zero Blue 2s, should be one of the better choices for gaming, if not the best choice. It's very odd that you didn't find them good for a competitive game like Valorant. Are you running them straight out of the motherboard output? If so, that's not a good idea, motherboard audio output is garbage, even on expensive motherboards. Get a cheap USB-C dongle like the Jcally JM6 Pro if that's the case.

Ebay isn't a thing in my country so I can't offer any advice unfortunately. It's very odd you've had that experience with the Zero Blue 2s. Usually it's the other way around from what I've heard, people like them for gaming but aren't a fan for music. Peculiar. Well, sorry I wasn't of much help, good luck!

Blues over reds for gaming. I'd say budget wise they're definitely a more affordable pair of iems compared to most
