Avocado - Luxury Organic Mattress (Plush)

Hi! I bought an avocado luxury bed with the pillow top (not box top). It’s been painful to sleep on for about 50 days and is just starting to get better, though I’m suspecting that it doesn’t quite have enough support or pressure relief for me around the hip, I’m a 5’ 10 side sleeper that is 180lbs for context. I went and tried some beds and felt that the helix midnight luxe might be a great option, I also tried the tempurpedic luxe adapt medium hybrid, I was surprised that the helix midnight luxe actually felt better to me than the tempurpedic.  Anyways all this is to say two things. 1. Buying a bed is a pain and I’ve learned I should have done much more research before. Like visiting your site! 2. What are your personal thoughts on Tempurpedic vs Helix? They were both good, but the helix is a lot less and sort of makes me wonder what I might be missing.

I have an avocado latex hybrid (3yrs) and it sags. We are about 190lbs and 120.

I finally looked up my order: ORGANIC LUXURY PLUSH…This hybrid mattress features 17 premium layers of organic and natural latex, wool, silk, hemp, and cotton, combined with up to 2,588 individually encased coils arranged in 7 ergonomic zones for support and motion isolation

It was delivered in Feb 2022. We bought the split king and both sides have been sagging for at least 2yrs. Mattress price was close to 6k

My Avocado latex hybrid (3ys) sags😡

The Avocado Luxury Organic, it’s so comfortable and feels very well made. We did a bunch of trials before picking this one and it was the only one that didn’t deliver compressed in a box (and I don’t think it could be compressed like that given the materials)

Avocado mattress with plush latex topper. It’s super heavy though. I don’t have sore spots anymore when I wake up. Supportive but not hard

You're on the right track with zoned coils. Helix midnight luxe, winkbed luxury firm, avocado plush (that might be too soft), and Serta perfect sleeper all use zoned coils. I'd try them out in person if you can. If you can't i think most of them (the helix for sure) has a 120 night sleep trial.

I highly recommend sleep on latex! We tried the avocado in person and didn’t like it so I’d try it first if possible.

Had an Avocado for 2 years, no sagging but way firmer than expected. Took months to break in and hurt my hips as a side sleeper at first. Consider adding a topper. Also it's insanely heavy.

If you’re a lightweight side sleeper, full latex can be a tough fit. I thought it’d be the perfect natural, supportive combo—but it was super bouncy, and I felt like I was just floating on top, especially at the shoulders. Plus, I’d wake up with a pain in my shoulder. Turns out that’s pretty common if you're under \~150 lbs. Switching to a latex hybrid made a huge difference. You still get that airy, responsive feel, but the coils add some give so you can actually sink in where you need to. Bear Natural felt nicely balanced for me, EcoSleep from Brooklyn Bedding was great with the flippable sides, and Awara was surprisingly comfy for the price. Avocado with the pillow-top was decent, but still a bit firm. So yeah, full latex just isn’t ideal for lighter side sleepers in my experience. 

I thought a hybrid avocado latex mattress. No more waking up with back issues.

We had the naturpedic for a crib mattress. I know they are supposed to be very firm but it was so hard and I wonder if that’s why he didn’t sleep well in his crib. We got a full size Avocado a couple months ago for a floor bed so we can Co sleep and it’s very nice! I will say it felt too soft for the first couple days and we were worried. But it firmed up as it aired out. Now it’s very comfortable. He has been sleeping very wonderfully on it, too.
