We have had a Casper bed in a box we bought 9 years ago now that we absolutely love. I will never go back to a traditional mattress. There is no sign of any deflection in the foam even after 9 years. Most comfortable mattress I have ever slept on and my wife agrees 100%.
I have the Casper. We got it while selling our home so that we could leave the home in show condition and still have a place to sleep in our apartment. 90 days later we were sold. Even on the floor it was great. It is thick so not as much need for a boxspring. Also some sheets may not fit
I have the Casper. We got it while selling our home (Oct 2020) so that we could leave the home in show condition and still have a place to sleep in our apartment. 90 days later we were sold. Even on the floor it was great. It is thick so not as much need for a boxspring. Also some sheets may not fit due to the depth. That said some of the really soft memory foams you will have trouble with getting out of bed or straddling someone etc. The Casper seems to be a bit firmer and maybe not as bouncy but doesn’t seem to impede movement like my first all memory foam mattress. I think it’s to do with the layers of a Casper 🤷♀️
I have an original Casper mattress and it’s held up great. It’s comfy. No indents or unevenness even though I only sleep on one side and don’t rotate it. No complaints at all almost 6 years in. I got it at a Casper store but I have seen them at Costco as well.
The Casper original is literally hard as a rock 😭 I have hip pain, wake up with numb arms and am finally getting rid of it after two years. Absolutely not good for side sleepers but it feel like it was advertised for all sleeping positions
There a site, naplab, if I remember correctly. You and you SO should spend time on there. Fill some surveys and see what they recommend. Good research there. We came from a 10 year old Original Casper. It was getting too hot for us. Ended up now with a Saatva. We expect a decade of use. It's a latex hybrid and we love it so far.
I’ve had my Casper original for almost 10 years now & that thing still feels the same way it did when I took it out of the box. It’s actually insane.
I am 235 pould side sleeper with hip pain that also has back pain from soft mattresses. We got a Helix mattress a few years ago, and it made a huge immediate difference. We have a cabin, and we had a basic Casper mattress. In the summer, we split out time between their and home, and I noticed my back and hip always felt worse after a couple nights on the Casper. About a year ago, we got the same Helix mattress to replace the Casper smand I have had no more back or hip problems now that I am sleeping on the same mattress every night. The Helix mattresses are not cheap, but they are reasonable, especially when you factor in not being in pain constantly.
It was the original Casper. For the Helix you go on an take their "quiz" telling them how you sleep and such and they recommend one. We ended up with the midnight lux.
I had the original Casper and I liked it for maybe 6 months then I thought it sucked. Years later, I somehow talked myself into trying the Casper Wave, and I thought (and still think) it was excellent, but as they note many times in many articles on their website, buying a mattress is largely subjective. Frankly, it's one of the few things I splurge on. Most of the rest of my furniture in my Master bedroom was purchased on Craigslist or eBay (or a relative getting rid of it). Frankly, now that I think of it, virtually all of my furniture in my Master Bedroom came from Craigslist or eBay!
I’ve owned both the Casper and Novaform memory foam mattresses. Loved them both. Went with 3 Casper’s for my new house and am very pleased with the comfort and sleep quality I’m getting
All of those mattresses are memory foam type mattresses. That's oil based and bad for the environment. Also hot AF in the summer. I work in the bed trade. For decent value natural filled mattresses, Highgrove are great. If you have a high budget, try out Harrison Spinks, which are vastly more comfortable, 100% natural and chemical free, plus 100% recyclable.
The downside of this is that the returns rate for Simba/Casper/Emma is horrendously high. All that foam, where does it go? Those mattresses aren't resold.
