I just bought the Emma hybrid premium, and I'm liking it a lot. (1 week in now) My mattress was a dormeo that I had for about 10 years, and now I'm comparing the Emma to the endy hybrid (firm option), and the ghostbed signature hybrid. To me it's the best of the three. Slightly less firm than the endy, but still very firm, so it's helping me with my back, but still quite comfortable. The ghostbed sank too much. I haven't tried the two that you were looking at, but I was considering them, and ended up going for the Emma.
Thanks! Haven’t loved it the first two nights but will give it some time. I ended up going to a mattress store today and tried out a few, including Kingsdown per a recommendation of yours above. Any thoughts on getting a mattress from a home show? Getting a twin XL (split King really but different mattresses) and the Silent Partner 2x was normally $2250 (not sure if it’s ever actually that price), it’s currently on sale for 1699 but the homeshow one is 1160. Is it worth getting a home show mattress for that kind of discount?
We just bought the Endy hybrid plush. We are 5 nights in. It is better than our old mattress for sure. I think I was expecting to be wow’d by it but I am not. It certainly isn’t bad. We are likely to use up most of our 100 night trial and decide if we want to keep it
I got an Endy hybrid mattress about a few weeks ago and I’ve been having the best sleeps of my life.
Also to add to this- I got mine in a way I never have before. Brand new on Facebook marketplace. I was very skeptical at first but the price was like $540 with delivery and they took my old mattress away. Zero marks on it, I gave it a really good look over. I absolutely love it. (It’s worth like $1300 or something)
Here are my thoughts; Option 1: All these companies have decent return policies. We purchased an Endy about a month ago and I like it so far (100 day return policy, but are likely to keep it). I sleep on my side/back and my wife sleeps on her side. We got medium firmness but they do have a softer version. Option 2: We previously had a Sealy and found that it broke down quickly for the cost we paid. I would not buy Sealy again. They may have better matresses now, but I honestly don't think I could bring myself to be a repeat customer after paying about $2,000 for a matress and having issues with it in less than 2 years. Option 3: I don't really get your choice here. It is really just options 1&2 with extra steps. I would note probably the most important part is that any changes to matress will probably make it so you need to change your pillow as well. I find if my neck is not right because of my pillows my shoulder hurts as well, but when I have it right, then I feel great.
I have an endy and have had no issues. Here is a discount if you go that way https://refer.endy.com/73jh7
Love our endy. 7 years and still amazing.
I will also put in a vote for Endy. I replaced both my adult kids mattresses last spring and they both absolutely love them. I guess they’re not moving out anytime soon! Maybe it was a big mistake. (Lol)
Same, about 5 or 6 years and still pretty happy with it
You should ask the brands to send you a stipend of what the tested mattress would cost, then order within a window of a few weeks/months depending on your review backlog. Like you mentioned an alias would be crucial so they can’t flag you (and a different alias each time you review from the same company ideally but logistically that could be hard) Also, I know this AMA is over, but do you ever find that brands change the formulations or materials over the lifetime of the product without disclosing the changes to the public, therefore shipping a different product from one year to the next? If so, do you do anything to make sure your reviews reflect the current state of a company‘s product? Thanks for doing this btw! I have an Endy that I love but am considering going to something a little softer as a side sleeper in the 240lb range when it’s time for a new mattress.
