I have [this one](https://mattresssymphony.com/helix-plus). It's been nothing short of fantastic. Most comfortable mattress I've ever slept on.

IKEA won’t hold up well at 300 lbs, the foams just break down too fast. If you want something built for heavier sleepers, check out the Helix Plus. It’s got stronger coils and higher density foam so it won’t sag right away. The regular Plus is the cheaper option, but the Plus Luxe adds more comfort if you can stretch for it. Both come with a long trial and warranty, which helps if you’re not sure how long you’ll be here.

For your weight and sciatica, you’ll want a mattress built for heavier sleepers, not just a “firm” one. The Helix Plus uses stronger coils and high-density foams so it won’t sag, and it balances spinal support with pressure relief at the shoulders and hips. If you want more comfort features, the Helix Plus Luxe adds a pillow top and zoned coils, still within your budget. Pairing either with the ErgoAlign layer can help with lumbar support, which is key for sciatica. Titan’s an option too, but it runs very firm, while the Plus line gives you durability with a bit more give.

Sciatica and extra weight can be a tough mix. You need a mattress that stays firm enough to support your spine but still cushions your hips and shoulders. Most beds soften too fast and make things worse. The Helix Plus is worth a look. It’s made for heavier sleepers, with thicker coils and dense foam that keep their shape. The Luxe version adds the ErgoAlign layer for better spinal alignment, which can help with herniated disk pain.

The Titan Plus Luxe can work for heavier folks, but the real issue is how long the foam holds up. Most of the failures you described come from the top layers compressing and staying flat, not from weak coils. Since you have gone through a few mattresses already, it sounds like the comfort layers were never dense enough for your weight. If you want something built to resist that, take a look at the Helix Plus. It uses heavier steel and high-density foam that stay supportive instead of collapsing into a dip. The idea is simple, keep the surface level so your back does not sink toward the center. It also comes with a limited lifetime warranty, which gives you a bit more security when you are tired of buying a new bed every year.

With your weight the most important thing is a mattress with firm coils and dense foams, otherwise it’ll sag pretty quickly. The Helix Plus is made for bigger bodies and holds up well while still being comfortable. The Luxe version adds a bit more lumbar support and a top layer that can help with back pain. Big Fig is also a solid choice, but I’d look at both before deciding. Helix also offers a long warranty, which gives some peace of mind.

Most standard mattresses break down quicker at higher weights, even if they feel firm at first. What you’ll want is something designed specifically for heavier bodies, with stronger coil gauges and higher density foams so the support doesn’t collapse over time. The Helix Plus is one of the few built with that in mind. The Plus Luxe version adds a zoned support system through the middle, which can help keep alignment steady if you deal with back or hip strain. No mattress is really forever, but the Plus line does carry a limited lifetime warranty, which at least gives you some assurance the construction is meant to hold up longer than average.

Helix Plus. Pricey but 100% worth it. I’ve had mine for about 5 years and it’s still in great shape. Not too firm or too soft. And no sagging. I do rotate it about every 6 months

r/BedroomBuildWhat’s the best mattress for couples who toss and turn?

Choosing the best mattress for couples is different from choosing one for a single sleeper. Two people often have different sleep styles, body weights, and temperature preferences. A good couples mattress should reduce movement, stay comfortable for both sleepers, and provide enough space and support. One of the most important features is motion isolation. This helps prevent you from feeling your partner moving during the night. Memory foam and hybrid mattresses usually perform best in this area. Medium to medium firm mattresses are usually the safest choice because they work well for different sleep positions and body types. ### Important Features to Look For When comparing mattresses for couples, focus on the features that matter most for shared sleep. * Good motion isolation so partner movement does not wake you * Medium or medium firm feel for balanced comfort * Strong edge support for more usable space * Cooling features to prevent overheating * Enough size such as queen or king Strong edge support is important because couples tend to use more of the mattress surface. Good edges help prevent the feeling of rolling off the bed. Cooling is also important since two people create more body heat. Mattresses with breathable materials or coils usually stay cooler. ### Popular Mattresses for Couples Some mattresses consistently rank highly for couples because they combine motion control, support, and comfort. The Nolah Evolution Luxury Firm is often rated as one of the best choices because it absorbs movement well and works for many sleep positions. The Helix Plus is another strong option because it offers good cooling, edge support, and motion isolation. Memory foam models like the Nectar Premier are also popular because they reduce motion transfer and provide pressure relief.

I got a Helix Plus over a year ago, maybe closer to two. My husband and i are both big and this is still the very best mattress we've ever had. They make it when you order and then ship it. Ours was less than $2k but idk with tarrifs how much it would be now.

I really like my helix plus and if things happen to it I have gotten full replacements which is amazing as there is more wear and tear being bigger. It is however more of a soft feel mattress which I personally love as I like to feel like I am all nuzzled in. I sit on the edges all the time and after many years it still all holds up and as I said if there is a big sag they have a replacement policy!

This is what happened with the Helix Plus we got. We are trying to sell it after only using it for around 4-5 months. We switched it with our old mattress until then, so it stays like new. It was making our already bad backs hurt so damn bad!

The Helix Plus. We are heavier, and the mattress has 0 sink after months. Unfortunately, that is terrible for our backs, and we are selling it. We have back/hip issues, and I have fibromyalgia. If you don't have those problems, I recommend it. We are selling our mattress to get something different because of it.

r/MattressHelix mattress worth it?

This is just our experience: We hate it. We had the Helix Plus and it was so extremely firm and uncomfortable. Then their waterproof mattress protector was garbage and didn't work at all. Found out cleaning companies can't clean them due to the foam in them. So we emailed back and forth with the company. They weren't wanting to let us switch, even before the accident. It went on and eventually they decided to swap our mattress for us, like the original 90(?) Day thing said. We asked for a mattress just 1 level below the firmness of the Plus. We repeated that we didn't want to sink. What did we get? We sink in this one, badly. I'm pregnant and struggling to get out of the bed or even rolling over due to it sinking. We're stuck with it. The cooling feature does nothing. The extra lumbar support option does absolutely nothing. It's an expensive mattress in a box that is incredibly heavy and not worth the price. Again, this is just our experience. We will never purchase another helix again.
