Try IKEA VATNESTRÖM. The only IKEA mattress that is worth the money.
Ikea VATNESTRÖM is good value if you are low on budget. Don't bother anything below this tier. Just go try it and compare the feeling between the best and 1 tier lower. The difference is very obvious. Don't buy mattress that you can't try.
Right. but that's the issue when buying a high priced mattress with no ability to return it easilly without a big charge. How the heck can you know if its a good fit until you try it out? It can be good quality, and You can get advice on the fit ,but what if its wrong for you? Because you typically pay 10-20% restocking to return f an expensive mattress plus return delivery fee and for a 5k mattress that wasnt right you just dropped $600 to sleep on it for a month - you paid the same as a cheap mattress and got nothing. I personally have back pain and had big issues finding a mattress that did not cause me pain when sleeping. a 1k latex mattress lasted a couple years, but became increasingly terrible for me, though people say its good for back pain. Through trial and error with swapping inexpensive components I finally found something that worked for me great! turned out the base made a big difference Now I have a medium-firm spring mattress from ikea with 2 inch of temperpedic serenity memory foam "pillowtop" topper plus the great secret ingredient which was the LÖNSET ikea bed base - it has zoned curved "bouncy" slats which you can individually adjust to make more firm or soft. This was the game-changer for me. it gave support to side-sleeping for my wide hips, but also has the right amount of give there to reduce pressure points. the whole thing including slats for king size was about $800. I still get a little shoulder pain sometimes, so I'd love to find something even better but after searching for two years to find anything decent I'm taking a break from searching. In my mind the future of mattresses would be either to have hotel accomodation where people could try out different beds for a few nights, OR to make beds with component layers that could be unzipped and swapped back to manufacturer until the person found the right combo. This goes especially for pillowtops that most people love and seem to collapse first even in more expensive beds, rendering the rest of the bed unusable..
Seconded! Have the same for about 5 years too and it's still very comfortable.
IKEA pocket Spring mattresses are the best. I've been sleeping on one for the guts of 5 years now (technically my second one, but that was because the first one was unsalvageable after a house fire). They're excellent, and half the price of a similar mattress from anywhere else.
Got one from Ikea with pocket springs. Never gonna go back to any other kind.
