r/ApartmentHacksBest mattress for hip pain suggestions for small bedroom situations?

If the Aurora Luxe feels a bit tall for your room, I’d try the Signature Hybrid in soft or medium instead. It’s shorter and still gives that cushy pressure relief your hips need. Leesa’s Legend Chill is another solid pick for small spaces since it doesn’t feel bulky and has great comfort for side sleeping. I’d check your frame height and try a medium feel at home to see what actually eases the hip pain.

Maybe check out Brooklyn Bedding since their hybrids hold weight really well without that sinking feel. A lot of heavier sleepers say the extra coils make it easier to move around, which sounds perfect for late-pregnancy discomfort. You might wanna look at Leesa too if you want something a bit more balanced and comfy without being mushy. Their mids feel steady enough for support but still easy on the hips. A topper usually won’t fix deep sinking once the mattress is already giving up, so a fresh setup might be way kinder on your back right now.

Mine is being delivered next week and I can report back then. I just tried out the legend chill and it was very temperature neutral and comfortable but I needed something a tad more firm.

I really have disliked Winkbeds every time I've tried them in store. The material is rough and seems to pill very easily, the luxury firm is way too firm for a side sleeper, and I really just don't understand the hype. Very meh mattresses. The Leesa Sapira Chill Hybrid is a really nice mattress as is the Legend Chill. You can sometimes find them on FB. The Helix midnight luxe also felt nice when I tried it in store.

I have a Leesa Legend Chill in my primary bedroom and after a few weeks I really love it. I wasn't sure at first because it seemed a tad firm, but it's softened up now and it's very comfortable and plush and doesn't sleep hot. In one of my guest rooms, I have a Nest Owl, and it's a latex hybrid and it's also very comfortable. I have a medium and it's more on the medium firm side because it's latex, but it is also softening. It sleeps cool. They have a one year trial period and they also include a one time comfort layer exchange for life. The top of the mattress unzips and you can either change the firmness or just get a new layer if it needs replacing in the future. If you're having issues with sagging, I would definitely make sure you have a solid base and not a box spring or those bowed slats. Mattresses these days are heavy and need really strong solid support. Also, make sure to get a mattress protector to make sure you don't void any warranties in the future.

I am a retailer for mattresses including Leesa. I can say with 100% certainty that the legend is only made in one firmness level and that is medium.

I weight 180 pounds and it feels like a medium to me.

I loved the way the Leesa felt but it is definitely made for back sleepers. I got a Casper and was much happier

We are side sleepers and bought a King Leesa Legend for less than $1k. I just couldn’t justify spending more than double that for all the other recommended mattresses I was considering after extensive research. (Helix, Winkbed, Leesa options on their website). Costco returns are so easy. Maybe we’re just not that picky but we have zero complaints and I was able to use some of the extra money on a bed frame and nicer sheets.

Congrats ! I had my first sleep on it last night and I will say It felt great :) definitely the firmness I was looking for , not too firm not too soft either you still get a nice cradle without feeling locked in . looking forward to the next couple weeks to see how it meshes to my body . Hopefully you enjoy it too !

First off ill tell you that the legend from Costco and the website directly are the same . They ship out directly from the Leesa warehouse confirmed by multiple reps from Costco and Leesa .. Costco is able to sell them at a Lowe price due to its unique business model, which involves high-volume purchases and capped markups.. I’ve had my legend for about 4 months now and I’m enjoying it but I think it’s still too soft for me .. I pulled the trigger on the oasis chill a couple days before it sold out and I’m glad I did because it seems like it might be the matress I was looking for … I would recommend the legend if you like softer more plush feeling because it definitely is more on the soft side . I will say Im a combo side / stomach sleeper and I think it’s still comfy but I find myself wanting to stomach sleep more and not being able to due to my hips sagging more than I’d like which causes some pain. I will update more once I’ve slept on the oasis chill .

I can tell you what not to get. I have the leesa legend medium firm hybrid. It's soft to me but I enjoy it. Keeps me cool compare to other memory foam and I'm a side sleeper. Although I'm only 5'5 and 118 lb.

I had to send a king sized mattress back yesterday because the delivery guys couldn't get it up our stairs!! That was a Novaform Platinum Elite or something form costco. I was really bummed but ended up getting a Leesa legend from costco which will come in a box. Stairs are a killer! ours was because we live in an old house and the stairwell has a framed doorway at the bottom and the top of the bottom stair to the door frame wasn't tall enough

My boyfriend (170 lb 5'10" male) and I (125 lb 5'7" female) are also side sleepers who roll around a lot. We bought a Leesa Legend Chill Hybrid in Medium Plush a few months ago, and ultimately both wish we had gone with something softer. I don't know what to recommend instead, but if you're set on Costco, take advantage of their trial period and return policy!
