We just bought a naturepedic, and I love it. We have 8in coils covered with 3 inches of firm latex and 3 inches of medium latex
May not be helpful due to budget but I just purchased a Naturepedic pillowtop hybrid so my wife could have her side medium firm and my side medium soft. Note I paid $1000 on FB Marketplace. Mattress was made 4 months ago and was used in a guest room. I sleep in Airbnbs all the time so it does not bother me. It’s was in like new condition. I also saw all the brand names available on FB marketplace as well.
This. We just got this mattress with different components on each side. I’ve never slept better. It’s such a top notch mattress, handmade by the Amish, all natural without VOCs!
I’m also very very sensitive. Just got a Naturepedic. Was here when they delivered, no off gassing whatsoever. My headaches have almost disappeared since sleeping in this bed. I love it so much.
100%. I can't say enough about thee mattresses. We just replace our older tempurpedic with a naturepedic a couple of months ago and we have never slept better. My constant shoulder pain and migraine headaches have almost disappeared. I love love love our mattress so much. Absolutely zero offgassing too. Worth its weight in gold. We went and tried several mattresses at the natural mattress store in town before we purchased and I am so glad we did.
After A LOT of mattress hunting, I just ordered a EOS Pillow Top. Seemed to check all the boxes and they had a Black Friday sale. Tried it in store and liked the plush configuration for side sleeping (Plush Coils + Medium Latex + Soft Latex Topper). Will see how it goes.
I’ve only had it for 2 weeks, but so far it’s great! Still early to know how much it’s gonna soften up, but so far I’m very happy with the sleep I’m getting.
I recently bought the Naturepedic Eos Pillowtop. Love the mattress but the top layers shift down with my adjustable bed and it doesn’t work. Not sure if it’s because it’s so thick (15”) or this will happen with all layered latex beds on an adjustable bed? Anyone have any wisdom?
It was worth it for me. I've had the EOS pillowtop for two years and love it. I used to have awful hip and back pain from my old mattress but that's completely gone with the Naturepedic. It also was extremely important to me to have an organic mattress and the swappable layers are an added bonus.
Give it time to break in. One night is not enough. I have the EOS pillowtop with the softer coils, medium latex followed by soft latex pillowtop. Even that was really firm for me the first 1-2 weeks. I pushed through and absolutely love it. There are so many configurations and you get free layer swaps the first 100 days. I'm a very hot sleeper but haven't had problems with the latex. I even ended up buying one of their shredded soft latex pillows. It could be worth trying a latex layer to see how you feel.
That’s what I’m on right now.
Naturepedic EOS Pillowtop. Soft latex over medium latex over firm springs as a starting point, but you can swap layers for 100 days if you need to dial it in. If you wait a few days until early February, you can bet they're going to have a President's Day sale to save you some $. The added bonus here is that because you're a big boy, you can get replacement parts as parts wear out, so you don't have to buy another mattress - you just replace parts as needed. All parts are replaceable.
It's made entirely of replaceable parts, it's made by the Amish, it has a 25 year warranty, it's certified Organic, it's totally customizable to whatever comfort preference you have, you can change the firmness as you age by swapping out the parts, it's super comfortable, and it will outlast just about everything out there. Worth $4k? To me, yes. (I say this as I relax on my Naturepedic, by the way.)
I'm a fan of the eos classic. not so much a fan of the pillowtop. the pillowtop seems excessive and the amount of foam and quilting between you and the springs seems like it would make it near impossible to see any benefit from the springs. seems like they make it for for people that just want to spend more money just for the sake of spending more money because of one layer is good, two layer must be better. unless you're very heavy and curvy, I don't think the pillowtop is a better mattress than the classic. I love my classic. 8+ years and still feels like new.
Naturepedic EOS Pillowtop truly raised the bar and made our sleep amazing after near instantly hating a tempurpedic hybrid memory foam mattress.
I didn’t realize it immediately but i got my grail mattress this year. Naturepedic EOS pillowtop, a perfect latex hybrid that has truly improved my life. We are so glad we returned the awful Tempurpedic Pro Adapt Medium Hybrid within the trial window.
