Glad it helped! Ours has been like that from the beginning. I didn’t think it would bother me much, but it is incredibly frustrating. It’s the Novaform ComfortGrande Gel Memory Foam 14 inch from Costco.

Novaform 14” ComfortGrande Advanced Gel Memory Foam Mattress from Costco has been the best mattress I’ve ever used. During the $100 off sale the Queen was $399 and king was $499

I am In the camp that a mattress is something that okay to splurge on as you use it every single day for hours. With that said,I was recently shopping for a mattress and came across the Novaform 14” ComfortGrande Advanced Gel Memory Foam Mattress at Costco for only $430 bc they were running a $100 off special . It was way more comfortable that the $2000 mattress I was looking at. I have it for 2 weeks so far and absolutely love it.

Purple for the splurge. Novaform 14” ComfortGrande Advanced Gel for the budget option. Have had both and am a side sleeper. Buy The purple if you don't plan on moving for a long time, and a very solid bedframe. Those mattresses are super heavy & dense, and have no structure. It's like moving floppy sheet metal. I miss mine a ton though. Novaform for ~$500 will fill your needs and is a super solid option, I'm on year 3 with mine and still sleeping great on it. Both mattresses have mediocre edge support though.

We've had the Novaform 14” ComfortGrande Advanced Gel Memory Foam Mattress for a little over a year and it's been one of the best beds I've slept on given the cost. Plenty of room for my fiance and our 2 kittens. Stays cool, firm but not overly firm. My back issues have mostly gone away

Agreed, we are really happy with this mattress too and the price is great. It also solved my back issues! We have had it just over a year.

I believe its the Novaform 14” ComfortGrande Advanced Gel Memory Foam Mattress. Bought it for the motorhome on a long trip. Liked it so much we bought the same one when we got home for our bed at home.

I work for Hamuq (Canadian mattress company), I also spend way too much time talking about mattresses so I’ll just give you my honest take. Under $600 at Costco, all of the ones you listed are memory-foam heavy, which can feel okay at first but often lacks support for combo sleepers, especially when you’re a bit heavier on one side of the bed. Here’s a quick rank for medium-firm feel for side + back sleepers: 1. Tuft & Needle 9.5" — Best all-around choice here * Simpler foam, more responsive, less sink-in feel than the rest * Better for combo sleepers than plush gel/memory options 2. Casper Cooling Select 12" — Good second choice * Slightly more contouring than T&N but still balanced * Cooler feel if that matters 3. Sleep Science Align IQ — Might feel too soft * Euro-top + memory tends to contour deeply → pressure points over time 4. Novaform 14" — Too plush for your “medium-firm” goal * Lots of foam, deep sink, can make alignment worse 5. Comfort Tech Serene Foam II — Very basic * Feels inexpensive and lacking support for most adults General advice: at this price point, strong innerspring/hybrid support isn’t in the list, so focus on the least sinky/most responsive foam model, that’s why I lean toward Tuft & Needle or Casper. If you find these still feel too soft or you really want better spinal support, it’s worth considering something built with zoned support and firmer base layers, the type of thing we focus on at Hamuq, because memory foam alone rarely gives the support combo sleepers need long term. Hope this helps!
