We ended up buying a King Koil medium pillow top. It felt comfortable in the store, but after sleeping on it for a month, we’re looking to upgrade to the Sealy Bentham Euro Top. It’s not a hybrid, but there is a thin layer of memory foam in the pillow top of the mattress, much like our old mattress, which I loved.

I’m sorry you’re having a lousy experience with it! We ended up playing it safe with a Sealy Posturpedic pillow top that has memory foam in the pillow top. Our previous mattress lasted us over 20 years & it had the same features. We’re very happy with it.

It’s a Sealy Posturepedic Elite Brenham Medium Euro PillowTop Mattress. Nine months in & love it.

High point has more pressure relieving material and phase change material which makes it better at cooling. The brenham the EPT quilted top medium is just a phenomenal feeling bed and has done fantastic with us and although the High point outsells it I would say listen to your body and if you like the medium pillow top I doubt you are going to be blown away by the firm high point. I haven’t seen any Brenham Medium Pillowtops come back on happiness exchange which tells me the in home experience matches the in store pretty well of course you still have break in to get through. As far as long term it’s far to early to tell but I never had long term issues with previous models of similar Sealy mattress

No they are not the same the brenham pillowtop is designed to feel more like a traditional bed vs the high point is designed to feel like a foam bed they have completely different feels you shouldn’t experience the same slow sinking in contouring feeling

tomorrow is when I get mine delivered (checking out reviews/info after purchasing so I didn't go in with preconceptions) but I also sleep heavy, have a ton of back pain, and toss and turn. something has to be better than my 8 year old mattress at this point

I did get the brenham 2, quilted/pillow top medium. I am kind of surprised I didn't end up in something softer, but it has been great. in general my sleep has been better and I no longer have hip pain which is nice. my back pain is going to happen no matter what, but in general it's better than it was. i am still used to a smaller and more worn out mattress, so that support has been nice. it has been kind of annoying trying to get sheets with a big enough space for how tall the mattress is, and I didn't really factor in getting new sheets when getting a larger mattress. I wish I didn't get ~$100 full sheets a couple months ago

i know there are cooling mattresses, cooling mattress toppers, but i'll also mention cooling sheets. best sheets i ever got, that i actually had to switch out for jersey sheets in winter, were sijo eucalyptus sheets. i've seen very similar sheets on amazon, but not the same quality. they almost made me too cold, they were so breathable and cooling. natural fibers and even wool can help with temperature regulation. idk what kind of mattress you are looking for, but i recently got a sealy posturepedic elite brenham II and the quilted top is really damn comfy and plush even at medium firmness, and it's really breathable.

I liked the Albany and Brenham in the Sealy elite series when I tried them

The Elite series of Sealy firm are all the same core (Sealy's best coils) but differ only in their tops and feels on those tops. Highpoint - Tempur type sink in. Albany - Quilt top with just enough cushion. Brenham - Eurotop with a bit more cushion. All share the really good Sealy Elite support system.

r/Mattressfor heavier side sleepers (king size), which works better — a hybrid mattress vs memory foam mattress?

You can select any mattress with a good coil support system (preferably zoned) and then get whatever comfort layer you want on top. The top comfort layers can be one of three designs (Quilt, Euro, or Hybrid) and that will determine the thickness and types of foams you get as well as the density. While this applies to most foam over coil mattresses, I will just use Sealy as an example. Their PRO and elite lines use their best coil system. Let's just use elite for example... You can get a Sealy elite in all three configs for the comfort layer. I would stay with their firm choice and try all three top types. (Ie: Albany II or Brenham II)... The Euro top will give you a thicker layer of non memory foam for cushion, the quilt top a bit less and the hybrid top will be a thick layer of memory foam (my least favorite). Good luck!

The Sealy Elite series are my top choice in the Sealy series (Pro series as well if you want to save a few bucks). These two lines carry Sealy's best and most supportive coil support system. I personally prefer Firm (Albany II) but my wife would go for the Brenham II all day long. All in all if I bought Sealy, I would choose this mattress line all day. I think it's a great choice if he likes it and should be good for years to come.

r/MattressMattress options for side sleeper and back sleeper with very different sleeping preferences?

BeautyRest World Class series which is actually my preferred series in their line as it's higher quality than the two lines below it and doesn't seem to have as many QA issues as the Black series above it has. I think this line is solid. (Series 3 or 4) Sealy - as long as you stick with the Pro or Elite line there, you will get Sealy's best coil system and you can choose what kind of comfort layer you want (plush, medium, firm) and the top layer format (hybrid, quilt, euro). That would also be a solid choice. (I would choose an Elite Series) Sterns - I like their Lux Estate models and again you can choose your comfort layer and top format. Helix - Gets a lot of love in the community and specifically they make a lot of models that are designed for the different sleeper positions. I would consider their luxe models for a bit more comfort over the core models. An example of how much they offer is if you want a luxe model that is Firm, they make one for side sleepers and one for back sleepers...the difference is they simply replace one layer of foam with another or swap those layer orders. Helix makes an Elite line and if I were to buy one it would be one of those...not because the comfort layer is thicker or it has micro coils and foam, but for the flexibility of the comfort layer swap. The entire comfort layer (several layers) is encased in a cotton cover that simply slips into the Top cover. You can swap just that layer later when your needs change for much less than buying a new mattress. Start off with Helix Midnight Elite and feel you need it firmer? Just have them send you a Dawn or Twilight comfort layer and swap it. Pretty convenient. Diamond - Ultimately my wife & I choose the "Black Diamond" series from Diamond Mattress. It had everything we wanted (just enough give on the top layer without being soft, a good coil support system and cooling features. We bought the Black Diamond Vail (Lux Hybrid Quilt Top in Firm). If we dont like it (Not here yet), The Helix Twilight Elite is my next go to. Good luck!!

omg my husband and I also enjoyed Paradigm Suites from Hilton and was trying to look for the equivalent. And both of us rly liked Brenham II 16” medium when we tried at MF. I’m now debating if I should buy from MF or the Pro Lincoln from Costco (cuz they look very similar). Wondering which one you end up choosing and how do you like it so far.

Just pulled the trigger on a Sealy Elite Brenham 2 Medium in a Cal King. I wanted to avoid the pillowtop, since it was on my prev 2016 Beautyrest Black that lasted for 9 years. Brenham felt nice in the showroom, albeit 'pre-broken in' and I was looking for a Medium Firm than Medium. Sales manager said it would feel firmer with the Tempurpedic box frames (which have the flat boards on top), so I got those too. Anyone curious I'm happy to report back. Looking fwd to this new mattress!

After 5 days I returned the Brenham! While plenty of foam and comfy, it's not for hot sleepers. Partner said xnay. Traded it in for a clearance Beautyrest Black Series 3 Medium, a MUCH cooler mattress. You rest more on top of the mattress than sinking into it. Beautyrests have a decent layer of latex that helps w the cooling. None of the Sealys I know of have latex. Wish I knew that from the start, but finally landed on the right mattress. 👍

Sealy Posturepedic Elite Brenham II. Had lots more foam layers, and you sink into it. Not for us, but sleepers who are looking for that + warmth will like it.

I recently ordered a Queen Sealy Elite Brenham in Medium. Got it clearance ordered from the warehouse with a 5 year warranty but no return policy, plus a box spring, for about $1300 including tax. It’s supposed to be here Wednesday, weather permitting. All in all if it’s not absolutely terrible I think I’ll be happy with it just for the price, even the comparable Costco Sealy would’ve been about the same once I added a box spring and I couldn’t test that one out in person. What do you think of the Brenham? Couldn’t find a ton of reviews on it other than either people loving it or thinking it sleeps a little hot.

Do you think the Brenham PT Medium is comparable to the High Point Hybrid Soft in general feel? Asking bc I have the HP Hybrid Soft and it's too sinky/doughy, yet also causes some shoulder pressure. I just tried the Brenham PT Medium and it felt more normal in store. But wondering if it will feel roughly the same as the HP once I am sleeping on it (if I was to do an exchange). I.e., I'd rather not go through hassle of exchange if I am effectively getting the same mattress again.

I bought the elite brenham 2 pillow top in medium a little over a month ago and I love it. I’m a heavier sleeper with a bad back and I’m waking up with a lot less back pain. Just my experience.

So when I had the soft hybrid high point it was so soft and squishy it was miserable and I love soft beds. I lasted as long as I could with it but hated it and gave it to my mom because she loved it. I went out and bought the Brenham medium pillow too because my salesman told me they didn’t make it in soft, that had been a fight on its own because they do make it soft but won’t take the responsibility for not telling me the truth. Anyways my question is, do you think the soft pillow top instead of the medium will give me that cloud feeling unlike the high point did because that one made me feel like I was drowning lol
