I’m 5’8” 320 lbs and I’m a side sleeper. Memory foam mattresses always start forming that dip for where I lay after 6mos-1year. I got tired of buying new ones so I finally got a hybrid, spring and memory foam from Costco. Sealy Posturepedic 12" Hybrid Mattress. Best mattress I’ve ever owned. I’ve had it a year and a half now and there’s no sign of a dip forming. It’s comfortable for my hips. And the best part, if you hate it you can easily return it! I don’t like returning things unless I have to but spending money on a mattress that lasts less than a year, yeah I’ll return that if I can for sure. Definitely recommend if you prefer a medium firm bed!

Sealy medium hybrid. I was in the same boat with my foam mattress and switched to this. Things have been much better!

This. I purchased my king Sealy Posturepedic 12” hybrid mattress from Costco online in December 2023 for about $800. I’m 150 lbs and my husband is 210 and we haven’t experienced any caving. Even moved it across the country this past December standing up in a crate and it didn’t warp. I did a lot of research before buying and don’t regret our purchase one bit. Plus, if it ended up not being the right fit for us I knew I could take it back to Costco with no issues.

My Posturepedic hybrid has lasted a year and still feels brand new. I always get compliments on it from my friends. I went on craigslist and found a discount mattress store in Tampa (B&G Mattress & Furniture), and I got it there. Cash price was like $800. But the mattress is worth like almost $2500 from the Sealy website. Maybe **go with a hybrid** next time! I grilled the owner so that I would get one that lasts as long as possible, and he said that’s the one that he has. He described it as firmer being a hybrid, but it’s like the softest thing I’ve ever felt lmao.

Sleep country - sealy brand not sure of the model the mattress is black with green accents. It works great as a side sleeper for me. Has coils and adjusts to the points on your body.

Just went through this. Went to countless stores. Multiple sales people tried telling me which bed was the best with the best warranty. I finally noticed that a hybrid was the type of bed I found to be the most comfortable. First noticed the sealy medium hybrid. Then figured I would just lay on a tempur medium hybrid. Loved both. Was nervous, reading that hybrids sleep hot. I ended up getting qoutes on both with adjustable bases. Sealy was around 4200. Tempur was like 6500 or 7k. Really didnt want to spend that much. Hopped online as I live in a city. Found countless wholesalers and resellers selling similar beds. Purchased the sealy first. Medium hybrid. Sealed brand new in plastic for 400. It was queen for my spare bedroom. I felt that I needed to test it out myself for multiple nights before buying a King for my master. Slept through the whole night. Woke up in the same position I fell asleep in. Couldn't get enough. Biggest concern for me is summer with all the reviews stating memory foam sleeps hot. Ended up spending a little extra on a returned tempurpedic medium hybrid cool breeze. I found one for $750. I was very concerned buying a bed that I know was returned from a previous owner within 90 days. But im happy to say I've been getting the best sleep I have ever gotten in my life. Im beyond thrilled. After spending weeks reading and shopping beds, I hope my shared experience can be of some help.

I bought this mattress about a month ago but it is too soft I get bad back pain when I sleep on my stomach. I am about 250lbs so that’s probably a factor.

I’m very hot natured as well, which heats things up for my wife. I’m sure you’ll get many suggestions. My wife and I bought a new King mattress and electric bed frame that raises up and down with remote, a few years ago. We opted for a Sealy Posturepedic Hybrid with cooling technology. It has many layers that offer a combination of support. The top portion is differing densities of memory foam. We wanted that because I have a lot of arthritis. It does stay cooler than some mattresses that are just straight memory foam all the way through. I’m 6’2” 250lbs and my wife is tall and slim. But we’re not small people either. Take a couple of weekends to go and lay on mattresses. That’s a must. A decent one isn’t cheap. We didn’t buy the most expensive or the cheapest, but it still hurt my feelings. We just hadn’t bought one in about 25 years at the time. Our only regret is not going a little firmer, as the salesman suggested. Softer feels better when trying out. Lastly, go to a place where they have a bed you can lay on that has sensors which maps your body and all of your pressure points and hot spots. This takes a lot of the guessing out of what you actually need and will feel best when you get it home. We bought from a local high end furniture store who had this. At the time, mattress stores in our area didn’t offer that technology; and where we bought didn’t end up being any more expensive. Hope you find what works best for you all.

I just got a sealy posturepedic which has memory foam on top and springs underneath. I previously shared with husband a temper cloud and honestly that was too soft. I was clenching all night.

I’ve helped a few older family members pick beds and I’ll say this gently, comfort beats fancy every time. Side sleepers usually need more shoulder give, and hybrids like the Sealy can feel familiar and easier on aging joints. If she loved it before, that trust matters. Memories and comfort go far.
