Really appreciate you doing this. If you have a moment, would love your thoughts. Sorry in advance for the lengthy question, but I wanted to try and provide as much context. I've been trying to find a new (King) mattress. I'm 6'0" 185 lbs, male. Side sleeper only. Sleep pretty hot (only use a sheet, even in the winter). As a side sleeper, I sleep with a pillow between my knees, and have found a pillow for my head that has decent support. I was getting really bad lower back pain with my old mattress. So I bought a new mattress. I'm now on my 2nd mattress that I've tried, and need to return it for something different. I'm still getting really bad lower back pain, waking me up after about 4hrs of sleep, and then just tossing and turning. I feel exhausted. My 1st mattress was a Sealy Posturepedic Lincoln Heights firm. This was far too firm, at least for me. I thought I needed a medium firm to support my hips / back, but this one was worse than my old mattress. My (current) 2nd mattress is a Stearns and Foster Pillow Top Lakeridge. I had high hopes for this, as I understand S&F are good quality. It is definitely more of a medium firm, but still firm. Yet, even now after having this for 2 months trying to let it "break in," I still have pretty bad lower back pain and toss and turn after only 4hrs of sleep. One other note, I don't move much when I sleep. And so, with both mattress so far, they both created a body impression that is noticeable after only a few weeks. So much so that I feel like I sleep in a bit of a impression hole, and if I move to another spot, I feel like I'm going to roll into it. Are there any mattresses that you would recommend? Or any tips that would be helpful? My budget is under $2k. But ideally would prefer to be in the $1000-1500 range. Thanks in advance!

Lakeridge was literally killing my back which i thought was a pickleball injury. Turns out a Lakeridge injury. We are sleeping on sealy Lincoln height pro plus for almost a week and I wake up a new human every day. It could be a bit softer for plush I think it’s more luxury firm.

Oh dang it I just ordered this one but in a plush because I thought I read that they are harder than what they are called. Oh well it'll probably be too soft and then I'll have to exchange hope it's a good one I've been through so many I'm glad to hear you're liking it

I have the plush Lincoln Heights and I love the squishiness but it doesn't seem to be supportive enough. Which one do you have?

SO FAR SO GOOD.....My spouse sleeps on her side and I am on my back mostly, sometimes on my stomach to stretch out. We are on the queen. I actually woke up and had forgotten we even got a new bed which is a good sign since I was pain free and focusing on my morning activities instead of how my body felt. It is firm, not SUPER firm. It does not sink and leave you in a crater. I would say it is a 7 on a scale of 10. Costco sells another hybrid around the same price range that is much firmer than this one. The avocado latex hybrid they have starts more firm than this one but eventually gets too soft. We are hoping this does not go the same path since it is great as it is, brand new. The only downside for my spouse is she does not like a tufted mattress and this one has LOTS of them due to the size and density of the pattern. I love the feeling so it is personal! EDIT: I saw this post long after posting and want to say the mattress I am referring to above that is MORE FIRM than this one....The Sealy Pro Lincoln Heights 14" Firm . It would be my 2nd suggestion for decent value costco firm mattresses but I dont think it is better, we returned it. As of a month later w are still loving the Sterns and foster and very badly hope it holds up since we love it more than any of the other 6 or 7 mattresses we went through.

Sealy PRO Lincoln plush hurts my back

We went with the Sealy Posturepedic Pro Lincoln Heights Plush. Sold under other names at retailers for about 2x. It has been about a month and no issues. We replaced a 10 year old Beautyrest firm as we wanted something softer. The Sealy comes in firm and plush. I would say the plush is in the middle between medium and firm. Great those who sleep on their sides and backs. Surprisingly Costco has the Beautyrest Black mattress for about $3k which is about 3 times more. Yet a lot of complaints on the Costco reviews about sagging and returns. It seems you get about 95% of a mattress for $1500 or less, spending a lot more may get you that last 5% or not. It could be that those who spend $3k or more on a mattress are more critical and have higher expectations. Not sure.

Costco sells the Sealy Posturepedic Pro Lincoln Heights for under $1000 with foundation, delivery, tax, and haul away. The best deal for a high quality mattress that sells under other names for 50% higher or more. We got the plush. They have firm but not really needed unless you are obese or have back issues. No mattress will cure you of what ails you. You need a doctor for that. But a good mattress will typically provide a good night’s sleep if you’re in good health. However, it seems most negative comments about mattresses on here are about people with some type of health issue which is not typically disclosed. This can make interpreting feedback confusing. Buy the plush see if it works. If not, they’ll trade it out for a firm, but the plush works fine for most people. No reason to spend a dollar more in gimmicks.

I don't think you gain much buying a $3500 mattress over one costing $1500 and neither will last longer over the other. They may look prettier but not a lot of difference in comfort. We still prefer inner spring coils as the mattress is lighter and ventilate/cools better. We just purchased a nice Sealy Posturepedic Pro Lincoln Heights from Costco that we are happy with. The thing about Costco besides having much lower prices on mattresses, if you don't like it they will exchange it for something else without issue. Costco only marks ups 13% where a mattress store is 2-3x in many cases for a similar product. The mattresses sold at Costco have unique names specific to Costco. But you can ask Google/AI to list other names and stores with the mattress in a different name so you can compare prices. But like I said, I have not found anyone cheaper than Costco with a no nonsense return/exchange policy. So my best advice is to look for a good return policy and be wary of reviews. Many people have health issues and look to mattresses to solve their underlying issues. Consequently, one person may love a particular mattress and another hate it. The reality is you won't know what works for you until it is your home and have slept on it for a few weeks.

Plush. Works really well for back and side sleeping. How long have you had the mattress? You can swap for the firm if you want if it has not been a long while since purchase.

Sealy Posturepedic Pro Lincoln Heights 14" Firm Mattress last month from Costco and we are both loving it. Using with just a mattress protector, no mattress pad needed. We bought firm but is soft enough for me to sleep on my side with no pain .

Been very happy with Costco’s posturepedic pro Lincoln heights 14” plush mattress. Husband and I both normal weight side sleepers. Was initially worried it would be too plush, but feels more like a medium to me.
