Hello, I work at Mattress Firm, I'm at work right now. I see you want to stay at $3000, which should get you something decent. Also, the Tempurpedic Mattress at Costco is basically the Tempur Adapt Mattress we sell, which is the beginning of the line for Tempurpedic. They get much better by just moving to the next step up, the Tempur Pro Adapt mattress. I have been going through some trial and error myself over the last year, dealing with similar pain. I have both the Tempur Pro Adapt Medium Hybrid and Luxe Adapt Medium Hybrid (I have a Split King Bed). They both have been great for the last year, I no longer wake up in pain, but all of a sudden, I'm having trouble getting comfortable and staying asleep (I still wake up pain free but getting to sleep is the problem, it's mostly stress) so out of desperation I bought an $1500 Plush Pillow Top Mattress, thinking I should be able to fall asleep easier. I just got it Thursday, and I get comfortable and fall asleep immediately, but now I wake up in a lot of pain, so I'm going back to my Tempurpedic until I can afford something else that is better then that $1500 Mattress or fix my stress. My point is I just discovered that maybe a good bed makes a difference, and Tempurpedic might actually be worth it and not just overhyped and overpriced. There are other options besides Tempurpedic that fit your budget and should do wonders. The mattress I really want to try myself is the Sealy Posturpedic High Point Hybrids (these are at ever Mattress Firm location to try). I want the soft, but there is a medium, too. I lay on them all day when customers aren't in the store. These are the next best thing to a Tempurpedic in my opinion. I sell a lot of these to people who don't want to spend Tempurpedic prices or hate how Tempurpedic feels. I don't know if it's allowed, but if you want I can give you the City and State for my Mattress Firm, you can Google the store number and call me here. I can help you with any questions and I'll give you some discounts to make it worth it. You also will get the 120 Night Trial still, so 4 months to try the mattress.
I have the Pro Adapt Medium Hybrid. Absolutely love it. It’s supportive, soft enough to accommodate side sleeping but not so soft that I can’t sleep on my back. Of course I’ve only had it about a month, but so far it is exactly what I was hoping to find.
Just bought a tempurpedic supreme medium hybrid. So far so good. Have had only less than a week. Really liked the pro adapt medium hybrid in MF so it was a no brainer to try the Costco tempur given the return policy. Good Luck!
Not sure what your budget is but we have the tempurpedic medium hybrid from Costco and love it. We’ve had it since late August. I had horrible back issues from an old mattress and this one has been great. Good luck on your search. We went to mattress firm and tried different mattresses and read a ton on Reddit to try to find the most similar models to try out since Costco doesn’t have displays.
It took me 3 years to decide on a mattress. There is nothing like physically going to the store and trying out the mattress in person for yourself. Me and my husband laid on them, rolled over, sat on them abruptly, he moved around a lot so I can see if I can feel his movements, etc. We end up going with a Tempur-pedic adapt hybrid medium. Yes expensive. But knowing it’s made with good materials and has been around for many years is an assurance. We will gladly make payments on something that is a benefit to our health and well being. Tempur does make a plush that you might like. The cooling covers make a huge difference and I use percal sheets that stay cool. Makes a world of difference. I did find Nectar to be close to Tempur-pedic and softer. Price is much cheaper as well. Good luck!
We got the Pro Adapt Hybrid 2.0 Medium. The first couple weeks you question everything about your decision and your whole ability to even be able to choose a mattress. I have to say we made a fantastic choice. It truly is an investment in your health and well being. We invested in our last mattress and it lasted quite a long time. It definitely pays for itself.
What fitness is yours? I just got a tempurpedic pro adapt medium hybrid and I’m worried it’s too soft after reading stuff people say.
I just got temperpedics pro adapt medium hybrid and it’s way too soft for me. I wake up inside the mattress with hip and shoulder soreness and feeling super hot
I have the medium hybrids pro adapt and sometimes feel it’s not soft enough (but still need support) is the lux adapt too soft?
Best mattress for side and back sleeper with RA pain? Price doesn’t matter. Currently have tempurpedic medium hybrid proadapt
It’s the best I’ve had thus far. Had naturpedic before. Killed my back and hips 5 years after owning it.
I’d wage a war against anyone taking my tempurpedic from me. I got the proadapt hybrid and my only regret is not doing the luxadapt. My sister has an S&F highest line in firm and loves it though
I have thrown so much money on mattresses. I have slept on almost every everyone out there! I personally loved tempurpedic luxe adapt soft. It was my favorite mattress that I ever slept so well on! I am 125 lbs 5’4 and sleep on my back and stomach. My side lasted for 6 years but my husband’s side started to deep more because he is 6’1 at 220 lbs. We are now sleeping on tempurpedic pro adapt medium hybrid. It has more support and feels more firm, but it is new and hasn’t been broken in. I did put a topper on it and it makes it a lot more softer. We have two weeks to decide if we want to keep it or exchange for softer one.
I am currently sleeping on tempurpedic mattress pro-adapt hybrid medium, but will be returning it because it is too firm for me. The rating scale firm-soft is not accurate from bed to bed. This bed is not medium at all but very firm.
Please for the love of god do NOT buy a purple…I just replaced mine after only 5 years, and it’s been awful for the last 3 years. I replaced it with a Tempur Pedic ProAdapt Hybrod Medium. So far so good.
Yes, I did some research before purchasing it and noticed that it seemed to be a 50/50 split with reviews. I’m ok with that part, but what I’m not ok with is the bed falling apart. That is exactly what I’m trying to avoid (I guess we all are lol) because my purple 4 was such a massive flop. It was great initially but once it lost its rigidity it was a wrap…bed practically turned me into a cripple I shit you not. I wouldn’t care so much if wasn’t such an expensive bed. The whole reason I tend to buy a nicer mattress is for an above average sleep, and longevity. Buy once cry once ya know? With mattresses though that’s becoming harder to find. As for our experience (my wife and I) we love this proadapt so far. Just like you from day one we found it comfortable, and honestly I don’t find it firm at all. Granted I don’t find it super soft either, but for me it has just enough give to allow for the pressure relief to be very noticeable in the shoulder area when on your side, but firm enough to hold your hips up. My back issues have subsided immensely. My posture has improved, and my pelvic tilt seems to slowly be correcting itself. I used to have issues whenever I’d have to stand, and walk. Everyday I’d have to lay on a heating pad to deal with the pain in my SI joint, it was seriously awful. I haven’t had any significant back pain since after the first week of sleeping on this bed. It’s honestly hard to put into words how happy I am with this bed lol! Pain sucks, and to be able to move around like a normal person again is amazing. I have noticed though compared to the purple this bed does sleep warmer. I live in PA and it just started to warm up finally, and we had a couple nights where we were hot. We just put our AC in last night, and that fixed that issue. Sheets are going to be very important with this bed though for sure as I think that plays a big role in keeping the bed at a good temperature. Overall though I love this bed, and as long as I can get some longevity out of it I will be a proadapt user for life. I’ve slept on other tempurs and this one by far is the most comfortable. Best of luck with yours!!
Bought a Nolah Signature for my big truck sleeper a few years ago and loved it, so comfy. Thought I would buy one for the wife and I a couple of years later and since I thought I already knew how good the mattress was I saved $100 and declined the 100 night trial, huge mistake. That was the hardest and most uncomfortable thing I've slept on in my entire life. I can only imagine like most companies these days decided to cheap out or change the materials used to increase profits and screw the consumer. Gave it away a year later because we coudn't take it anymore. Currently sleeping on a king size Tempurpedic ProAdapt Medium Hybrid and that is finally the most comfortable bed I have slept on after it broke in some. I hope it holds up and lasts considering the price tag.
