My current stack, bottom up. 3” firm latex layer. Futon shop “triple crown” mattress Futon shop royal topper. Zero motion transfer. Super plush but supportive. Just enough bounce to make some activities more interesting…. However, no edge support and some semi annual maintenance of airing and fluffing. And the return policy sucks so you have to be ready to commit. Another trick I found is you want to keep your top layer fairly loose. Even a plush box top will transfer motion if your mattress pad and sheets are tight. While fitted sheets are easy, a flat sheet with “hospital corners” will stop the trampoline motion transfer. But you really have to make your bed daily. Might give it a try if you have a spare flat kicking around before buying a new bed.
