I wish we had splurged for an avocado or naturepedic but it just wasn’t in the budget as newlyweds! We have had our wink bed for 5 years, and it has been great to us. It avoids most of the nasties. https://preview.redd.it/25fomzch9u1g1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=70021178df6114314346a4b1b643b61a46e064da

This guys technical reviews with actual testing data was a god send. And we bought a WinkBed in 2023 and love it. His data allows you to pick a mattress based on your needs and not just someone’s opinion. https://naplab.com/best-mattress/

r/MattressAn honest review of winkbed and why I think they’re the best mattress company

Worst mattress we ever bought. Returned it and they made it difficult. Could not get it out of my house fast enough. Like sleeping on cement.

We bought purple and we have an expensive Anthropologie bed. Sagged in five seconds. Got a replacement, sagged. No, some of us aren’t whiny. The actual truth is the old say that they don’t make things like appliances, cars and mattresses like they used to is true. We moved on to Wink, crap. It’s all crap. Was looking at a Coyuchi mattress… rotate it every two weeks… uhhh crap.

Not Costco, but my husband and I got a winkbed (there's a "plus" one for plus size folks) and it's the best mattress I've ever owned.

If you’re on a tighter budget but don’t want to comprise on quality, hop on FB marketplace and find a local mattress reseller. They’re often selling loads of like-new trial/returns mattresses that have been cleaned and sanitized. I was able to grab an $1800 Winkbed for $400 this way - and the mattress looks pretty much brand new.

r/MattressBest for side sleeper (I think I've narrowed it down at least)

We bought two luxury firm Winkbed mattresses some time ago and were very happy with them right after purchase, About three years later I can tell you we are even happier with them now. Truly outstanding mattresses. Personally I don't think you need the softest version as a side sleeper, especially after week or two of use, but what makes you feel comfortable might be different

I have a Winkbed luxury firm on a Thuma frame and love it.

I’ve tested a handful of these mattresses myself. As a stomach sleeper, the WinkBed Plus is awesome. Thing is built like a tank and should last a while, too. I would probably get it if I didn’t already love mine. I have the Titan Plus Elite at home and it’s the best sleep I’ve ever gotten. No more wonky lower back pain.

r/MattressBest box mattress that will give you 5* luxury hotel vibes with no chemical odor?

If you’re looking for no odor, Greenguard Gold certified is going to be your best bet, but we just brought in Leesa (made by 3Z who also makes Helix and the beds share components) and there is a slight odor to them so I’d imagine Helix is the same. I’m VERY sensitive to smells and it’s not overly noticeable, but it is there right out of the box. Everything we’ve gotten from Diamond Mattress is also Greenguard and has had less/no odor compared to Leesa/Helix, but their higher end stuff doesn’t ship compressed. The Leesa Sapira Chill firm feels like a nice hotel bed to me (it’s also on the medium side of firm), so does the Winkbed Lux Firm (wink isn’t Greenguard gold, but didn’t notice much/any smell on unboxing). Nothing that comes in a box is going to cool you down, invest in good sheets and maybe a Bedjet/8Sleep cover if you want to be cooled. Most beds (even the ones that say cooling) are just trying for temperature neutral.

Wink isn’t a bad bed. Naplabs isn’t a bad review site (I actually quite enjoy his process of reviewing). Naplabs seems incentivized to recommend wink. I’d find somewhere to try them out if you can.

Winkbed lux firm feels like a nice hotel mattress. The best part of it is, there’s nothing that really stands out about it. Just feels “like a bed”. Some side sleepers have said it’s a little firm on shoulders/hips but ymmv.

r/BuyItForLifeA good mattress, do they exist anymore?

We've had our Winkbed for almost 7 years. My husband is a bigger guy and we both still love it. No sagging whatsoever. Plus, you can't beat their lifetime 50% off a new mattress deal. We're thinking about upgrading our queen to a king and it helps to know we'll only need to pay 50% of the cost of a queen, plus whatever the difference is for the king.
