Zinus on amazon. I bought a king size 6 inch foam mattress on amazon 8 years ago. Used it for 7 years on a wire platform frame. Replaced it with the same brand 8 inch foam last year. Now the 6 inch has been cut down to make sofa cushions, still relatively firm and comfortable. The 8 inch is holding up fine for a year old so far.  Zinus Green Tea memory foam mattress. As much as I hate recommending amazon, look it up.  The prices fluctuate regularly so check the link for the item on camelcamelcamel, a price check website that tracks amazon prices. The 6 inch king was like, $150 back 8 years ago, the 8 inch king I bought last year was $250ish.

Highly recommend the Zinus 6” on Amazon. The cover has a zipper that’s a bit of a bit** to open up, but with some pliers and a little wiggling you can get it. I cut it easily with an electric turkey knife. Super comfy. I did the 8” on my last van and that was nice too but harder to bend up to put sheets on. I’d recommend the 6

I have a ZINUS brand mattress and have been happy with it, for a firmer option. The kind size 6" "green tea" mattress is about $330 right now. I have had it on a solid platform base, adjustable.

My entire family is on Zinus mattresses. My wife and I have a 14 Inch king size hybrid mattress that we've been using for 7 years. We're looking to replace it probably next year, but it only cost us about $430. My Dad has had his gel memory foam for 5 years and he loves it. My kids both have had the standard memory foam mattresses, and their still solid. Not one of these mattresses We're over 500.

r/MattressA different approach to this sub - if you have a mattress you actually like, what is the make/model?

My last two mattresses were at vastly different price points and I honestly enjoyed both of them. I had a Zinus memory foam mattress, the one with green tea, for a total of 7 years. I loved it and the only reason I got rid of it was due to a size change. Right now I’m rocking a Tempurpedic Cloud Supreme and I also really like it. If you’re budget conscious though, I don’t think it’s worth it to splurge on this compared to the Zinus or any of its competitors. I have yet to get into the really high end stuff, or unique materials such as wool or latex. Maybe I will at some point but I will wait for this Tempurpedic to need replacing. I know that Tempurpedic isn’t even close to the best according to most, but if the TempurPedic for me was a 10/10, the Zinus wasn’t far behind. Maybe an 8.5 or 9 in comparison. You can’t beat that for being close to a tenth of the price.

I had an expensive mattress that was plush and comfortable but I woke up every day stiff and tight. So I started sleeping in the guest room on our $200 queen Zinus Green Tea Firm and all my problems went away. I started sleeping deeper and waking refreshed so we put it in our bedroom. It's only been a few months so I can't speak to the longevity but holy cow I'm never spending that much on a mattress again when this bed exists

FWIW, I recently stayed in an Airbnb and slept on a Zinus mattress from 2018. Best night of sleep I’ve ever had, woke up with Zero aches or pains. Primarily a Side Sleeper with occasional stomach. I currently have an Amerisleep AS5 and while it’s held up great it’s too plush to provide the necessary back support I need. Prior to that I ordered a Casper which was unbearable and returned after 3 days. I went down a rabbit hole, multiple reviews and the reality is that everyone is different and therefore will have different results between mattresses. It’s honestly overwhelming, not in a good way, in the amount of companies and products out there. I decided it’s best to order something I had a great experience with. As someone wrote on this sub it’s worthwhile to consider a cheaper mattress, replacing it often than an expensive one which might be a gamble. I’ve also considered Costco for the return policy but saw that there are multiple negative reviews for all their products. I would say the best way is to try the mattress out as even if for a short while at a store, before blindly ordering one online.
