"Having kids who run everywhere for wifi, eero is simply the best. ... Set it, forget it, and it's simplified my life."
"the whole setup process was almost… suspiciously easy lol ... The app basically walks you through everything and even my not-so-techy partner figured it out when I wasn’t home ... it was wild how simple it was. I kept waiting for something to go wrong but it just… didn’t!"
"I'm usually terrible with networking related stuff, but this one was a breeze to setup."

"I now have my Maine Eero attached to the utility modem. From the Eero I connect to a switch and ran Ethernet (outside) to each room that has another Eero switch. Each Eero is hardwired to main and provides WiFi in its “zone”."
"I have had good experiences with the Eeros (6+) with MoCA backhaul. I've never had a loss of connection anywhere even once."
"Have 2 x Eero 6+ wired up through Ethernet backhaul and they cover my whole 4 bedroom house."

"I set up 6 of them and covered a 2 acre area including a 4 story house, a 4 car garage, another 2 story house, a 2800 sq foot barn and a tiny house."
"I have two setups in different areas, one covers a massive fucking area because I have a field I mow that's about 20 acres and was able to set up a lot of point to point extension within that. ... At the spot I'm currently at I have about 2 acres covered and trying to push to 4."
"I have a tri-level home with 3 Eero units. ... I have the base unit next to my AT&T fiber gateway on the upper floor, one in a receptacle bracket in my dining room on the middle floor and one in my garage on the bottom floor at the opposite end of the dining room unit. ... I'm using wifi only to connect all three and have no gaps in coverage. ... I have wifi cameras on the front, back and each end of the house and one out on my storage shed about 75 feet from the house. ... I can walk anywhere on my property and have no less than 40 to 45% signal strength."

"And some features are blocked behind a paywall like for example going to a list of which devices consume more data on a day and so on."
"Amazon does seem to have some subscription based functions in the router firmware 99.99/year for eero+ features such as VPN, content controls, user management, etc. ... I typically won’t buy products that want you to pay a subscription to make full use of the hardware already purchased."
"constant upsell for features that I believe should be standard"

"The Pro 6E, for instance, has one 2.5gb and one 1gb port. You need to choose between more internal bandwidth or handling up to 2.5gb internet bandwidth but limiting your internal wired devices to 1gb."
"Can’t disable the 2.4ghz network either"
"You had almost 0 information that's going on on your network. ... Even with paid subscription, you got a message threat detected, but that's it. No details at all."

"My eero has been most for the last week. ... I'm getting gbe to the things but lucky to get 100mbps to devices (where I expect 300 or better). ... Nothing I can do to troubleshoot."
"Sometimes those APs get stuck in an orphaned state and require a physical reboot or even a reset and new set up."
"The mesh can be unreliable. ... After a disconnect it can a long time to reconnect."

"Eero is very greedy on trying to maximize its own performance at the expense of everything else. ... It works ok if there aren’t any other APs (ie neighbors) nearby, but it sucks ass if you live in dense housing."

"100-200mbit speed tests - reset - they go to 700-800mbps then slowly get slower over time ... the constant poor speeds our housemates got sick of occurring after weeks or months ... I spend more time resetting them to get to work than I do enjoying using them ... seems weird that I have the keep resetting the network to keep the speeds up"

"I gave up, went to Eero, they had massive firmware regressions and no way to roll back"
I bought two 6+s without knowing much other than a friend recommending Eero that is in the industry. The boxes that Centurylink gave me were total garbage. It was night and day and honestly I've been very happy. Now that I have a wired back haul it's even better. Knowing what I do now though I probably would have done pro 6Es instead.
r/amazoneero • Eero announces line of Wifi 7 products (eero 7 and Pro 7) ->I'd go with [Eero](https://productbible.com/product/amazon-eero-6-mesh-wifi-system). I'm usually terrible with networking related stuff, but this one was a breeze to setup.
r/HomeNetworking • What is the Best WiFi Mesh System for Home? 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 ->Eero 6+ or eero pro 7 if higher budget super easy for average consumer
r/Spectrum • Recommendations for wifi router ->Not too concerned with price, just been on the fence on switching to a ubiquiti eco system but I’ve been very pleased with the single 6+ I have now. For only a 100 bucks I’ll snag another 6+ and run an additional Ethernet to the back side of the house for it and see how that helps out before jumping ship.
r/amazoneero • Access point confusion ->I'm using the eeroesh system. I have the eero 6+. There's newer versions now, and noticed multiple subnets. You can just buy one and setup a new one as an extender with no issue, or buy one with a network jack and use it as a wired extender. I don't have the eero 6 pro,but I still get nearly 959 or greater for download and 850+ for upload speeds on a 1gb line. On wifie purely it's in the 700 to 800 range. I am a computer person, I understand networking, I'm a solutions architect and know how to troubleshoot so many random things. The EERO system has been insanely easy to setup and has been crazy reliable. Have had eero since 2022 and haven't had a single failure
r/wifi • I need the best wifi mesh system for whole-home coverage ->Get the eero 6e or higher. Even if you buy cheaper brands, tplink, etc, make sure the unit is at least 6e. Don't waste your money on old technology... Wifi 7 been around a year already. Still pricey. But the eero 6 plus was great 3 generations ago.
r/HomeNetworking • What is the best budget mesh system? ->Eero for the remote accessibility.
r/HomeNetworking • What is a good mesh network to get for older people? ->Eero 6+ or newer (size it to your internet speed from the carrier). Eeros are simple and easy to use. They are not designed for tinkerers. If you want a router you can tweak, buy something different.
r/wifi • What mesh internet device would you suggest me to get so i can stream on twitch properly? ->I would absolutely agree with you there, budget allowing. Currently I run two eero 6+ devices (going back in a few days; they belong to my ISP and I'm leaving their area) along with two eero Pro 6 devices (mine, purchased before I switched to my current ISP, which provided the 6+ eeros at no monthly charge). They've all been great devices to run. However, if I were buying today (whether for replacement or just supplementing), I would only look at the various eero 7 options. I probably should have mentioned that, even though it sounded like OP might be looking to spend less!
r/amazoneero • Access point confusion ->Personally, I’d try three Eero 6+ in your case. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08ZK2BHP2
r/HomeNetworking • Help me replace my Google WiFi system ->This. I installed Eero at my brothers and Mom’s. Basically troubleshooting free unless they unplug something. Eero 6+ gets good reviews
r/HomeNetworking • What is the Best WiFi Mesh System for Home? 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 ->Meh, the eero 6+ are fairly garbage I don’t rate them, bought into the hype and in all honesty my tplink mesh was light years ahead of the poor eero experience Definitely won’t be wasting my time or energy on this rubbish based on my current eero 6+ experience Absolute garbage products
r/amazoneero • Eero announces line of Wifi 7 products (eero 7 and Pro 7) ->Lmao, reddit mindset I suppose Basically they have numerous issues Never seem to hold onto 160mhz channels because of DFS - can’t split 2.4 / 5ghz bands - can’t auto select radio / frequencies in bridge mode as they become locked in bridge mode to whatever frequency they lock to - 100-200mbit speed tests - reset - they go to 700-800mbps then slowly get slower over time - paywalled features - support that’s unhelpful and basically can’t give answers to any of the above as to why it can’t be done or implemented into the product, I get these are a plug and play kinda solution, but 2.4ghz splitting is a pretty basic feature - maybe hardware limitations ? Dunno - I just didn’t think these were much chop for the price I paid. Coverage is fine - it’s the constant poor speeds our housemates got sick of occurring after weeks or months. When they work they’re great - that primarily is the issue - I spend more time resetting them to get them to work than I do enjoying using them. I initially thought okay, wireless interference, did a general scan of the area and there was like 1-2 very low strength bars showing for some routers in the area. Oddly enough the reset fixes then for a short time - seems weird that I have the keep resetting the network to keep the speeds up - that part makes zero sense I took that advice from another thread here, but yeah, that’s why I’m not happy with them. Either way I’m not happy with the product performance
r/amazoneero • Eero announces line of Wifi 7 products (eero 7 and Pro 7) ->the eero 6+ ? \* it appears they no longer offer it over a 24 month plan payment - probs cause people left and never repaid it - sucks for new people - I had the cost of my 3 nodes spread over 24 months @ $6 per node per month :)
r/nbn • Mesh or Router? ->I have the eero 6+ mesh point x 4 - works perfectly with 1000/50 - I get around 850mbps on my iphone 16 down and 48 up - 2 are ethernet backhauled :)
r/nbn • Mesh or Router? ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
