Wow. Beautiful and easy to digest chart. Just picked up a disco 30 for my set up. Much more comfy and pack able than my old synthetic mummy bag. Love the wiggle room
r/motocamping • Sleeping Bag and Quilt Chart for motocamping ->The 30 is the -1C right? Slept in that in -3C naked and was perfectly comfortable. Sure you had a pad that was warm enough?
r/CampingGear • Advice on sleeping bag ->Another reccomendation for the disco 15. I have a 30 and I can't wait to get into it every time I use it but you will get cold with a 30 unless you pad up and bundle up. Most comfortable bag I've slept in as a side sleeper/restless sleeper.
r/backpacking • Advice on These Sleeping Bags ->I researched for similar needs (seve gearlab site for comparative sleeping bag reviews). I decided on a Nemo Disco 30, on sale now at Amazon $196 (US). Hydrophobic down, roomy for side sleepers, under 2.5 lbs, has ventilating zippered gills for higher temp venting. Lifetime warranty. Also considered RAB neutrino 400. These are also down bags. Synthetic fill better in wet conditions at penalty of heavier and will not compress as small.
r/Ultralight • Sleeping bag help ->The Nemo Disco 30 and Therm-a-Rest NeoAir Venture Large give me plenty of comfort and space to sleep on my side.
r/hiking • Sleeping bag for side or stomach sleeper? ->I have had a mummy bag in the past and recently purchased the NEMO Disco 30. It is so much more comfortable and I LOVE it. If you like to move around and are a side sleeper I highly recommend the spoon-shaped bags, they are much easier to settle into in my opinion. Another benefit is if you have a partner you can zip it together with the men's version of this same model. I don't know how useful it would really be in practice but its a fun feature to get a larger quilt/bag imo.
r/backpacking • Advice on These Sleeping Bags ->Omg I love Nemo bags too. I have the 30F Disco and want the 15F one.
r/CampingandHiking • What the most expensive gear you bought and why was it worth it? ->I’ve been backpacking with my Nemo 30 for about 4 years and I LOVE it. I’m a side sleeper and I toss and turn a lot and I find that it gives me (5’ 0”) plenty of room to move around without getting cold. On warmer nights, I just open the zip and get enough airflow to not overheat. It’s lightweight and packs down super well with the provided compressive bag. Generally speaking, I run warm, and have comfortably used this bag in temps well into the low 30s with wool base layers and not felt cold
r/backpacking • Advice on These Sleeping Bags ->I see Nemo has been mentioned a lot, which is what I came here to suggest for a sleeping bag with a Klymit sleep pad. We do a lot of tent camping each summer. Some pack in, some drive in, some canoe in, but always in a tent and always on the ground. As we’ve aged I have been concerned we wouldn’t be able to continue sleeping on the ground, but the Klymit has never let us down. We’ve had our pads for over 11 years and only this year did we finally “upgrade” to the wider version. For sleeping bags, the Nemo spoon, down filled was our choice. Lightweight and has been excellent for MN camping. Good luck!
r/CampingGear • Sleeping Bag + Pad Combo Advice (Canada-Based, $600 CAD Budget) ->I love my disco. The shape is soooo much better than a mummy shape
