First - are you positive you want to zip together with your partner? I did your same plan \~15 years ago. Got 2 bags and zipped them together. It was cute. At first. Then we soon became cramped / cold. We almost always preferred to be in our own bags vs. zipped together. After the novelty of zipping together wore off - it really wasn't useful. Just saying... don't spend the extra money / effort or limit your options for this feature if you don't really need it. If you still want the zip together bags - you are looking for sleeping bags that have 'left' and 'right' zippers. Buy one left and one right. At 15F nights - you want a 5F or 0F rated sleeping bag. Or a 15F bag plus a liner for the colder nights. Are you sure you want a traditional mummy bag? I personally prefer down quilts. They pack smaller and are more comfortable than my mummy bag. They also work well when 2 people are together. Snuggle under the blankets, but then go into your own cocoon for the night time. **What is your budget?** It looks like Mountain Hardware does mens zippers on left and womens zippers on the right. * [https://www.rei.com/product/235362/mountain-hardwear-bishop-pass-15-sleeping-bag-womens](https://www.rei.com/product/235362/mountain-hardwear-bishop-pass-15-sleeping-bag-womens) * [https://www.rei.com/product/235363/mountain-hardwear-bishop-pass-15-sleeping-bag](https://www.rei.com/product/235363/mountain-hardwear-bishop-pass-15-sleeping-bag) Nemo does the same: * [https://www.rei.com/product/228439/nemo-disco-15-endless-promise-down-sleeping-bag-womens](https://www.rei.com/product/228439/nemo-disco-15-endless-promise-down-sleeping-bag-womens) * [https://www.rei.com/product/251886/nemo-disco-15-endless-promise-down-sleeping-bag-mens](https://www.rei.com/product/251886/nemo-disco-15-endless-promise-down-sleeping-bag-mens) This is a unique option too: * [https://www.rei.com/product/231206/sea-to-summit-ascent-15f-sleeping-bag](https://www.rei.com/product/231206/sea-to-summit-ascent-15f-sleeping-bag) The North Face Cat's Meow was the one I had with L/R zips. But it looks like they took that feature away. I was also going to recommend the Kelty Cosmic Down as a cheap/budget option - but they also look to only sell right zip bags.
r/backpacking • Looking for a reasonable priced sleeping bag that can zip together. ->Ouch, you are in a tough situation. You need a small sleeping bag, but have a low budget. Basically anything you buy is going to take up half your backpack. Your tent and sleeping pad will most definitely need to be strapped to the outside of your pack. 35L pack is really a limiting factor. Sure - the Nemo Disco is a fine sleeping bag. Better than the Forte for sure. The Kelty Cosmic is popular because it's cheap. If you can afford more, like the Nemo - go with that. I'd skip the 'zip together' feature. Don't limit yourself in that way. It sounds cute - but in practice joining 2 bags is not comfortable / warm. At least over the 18 years I've been with my GF. Hard to say more without knowing what brands you have a pro deal with and what temperatures you'll need to use the sleeping bag in (temp rating 15/20/30/40F?)
r/backpacking • Sleeping Bag Recomendations ->i run cold and don't love the leg constriction of a mummy. i recently purchased a nemo disco 15 (women's long) and used it on a desert backpacking trip last month. one of the nights was stormy and temps dropped well into the teens and i was actually HOT and had to open the vents to cool off a little. it's heavy (3.5lbs) but i loved it so much for how well i slept that night.
r/WildernessBackpacking • Sleeping Bags ->I have the women’s endless promise Nemo 15 and I literally love it. The material is so warm, so so soft and I feel like I have lots of space to sprawl out while still keeping warmth. Also love the gills to let help regulate temp
r/backpacking • Advice on These Sleeping Bags ->I have the women’s disco 15 and enjoy it. It’s roomy and comfy as a side sleeper. There’s a pocket to put a pillow or stuff with a jacket. And it keeps warm without overheating. I run cold so I pair it with a s2s liner.
r/CampingGear • Can’t decide on a sleeping bag ->The new version of the Disco 15 Men's Regular has an advertised compressed volume of 6.4 liters. The Disco 15 Women's Regular is listed at 8.8 liters. So a little over 15 liters combined.
r/CampingandHiking • Sleeping bags that connect ->I have had a nemo disco 15 bag, two EE and now a Zenbivy 10 degree light bed with half sheet. The Zenbivy is by far warmer than EE and to the moon and back more comfortable than EE and the Disco. I was skeptical of Zenbivy but it is a quality product. I use a Ultra 3R exped pad for three season and a 5R in cold season.
r/WildernessBackpacking • Sleeping Bags ->Get a disco 15 from Nemo. Only use kelty in the summers.
r/CampingGear • First backpacking sleeping bag ->I have a disco 15 and love it. Alternatively you can get a fleece bag liner to add some warmth that way instead of a whole new bag.
r/camping • Heavy and warm sleeping bag ->I think your pad is a bit over the top for the Rockies for 3 season but too much is better than too little. I use a 15 deg Nemo Disco 650 down had it for five years and have its perfect. I’m about to hand it down to my son and buy the new version, might splurge for the 800fp just to save to 100g! I do take thicker base layers in the late season.
r/UltralightCanada • Best 3-Season Sleeping Bag or Quilt for Alberta/BC Rockies – $750 CAD Budget ->If you’re fine with a mummy bag get the Coda, it’s a bit lighter and warmer. I got the disco as I’m a side sleeper, I find the extra room makes a difference for me. I haven’t tried a quilt and probably never will, drafts are a thing and the weather in the mountains can change drastically, I know I’m good in a bag. I misspoke before, getting the Riff to replace the Disco. Riff basically a lighter disco.
r/UltralightCanada • Best 3-Season Sleeping Bag or Quilt for Alberta/BC Rockies – $750 CAD Budget ->I have 2 Nemos. I love them.
r/CampingGear • Sleeping bag for a mostly back sleeper who turns like a rotisserie chicken ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
