Zenbivy - Light Bed

I came to recommend the Zenbivy. I sleep like this in mine and stay cozy.

FWIW I have the Lightbed 25 version with the insulated half sheet and it is the best outdoor sleep I’ve ever had. It comes as close to your bed at home - you can move and ventilate freely while being warm and cozy when needed. The rating is of course limit/transition but I’ve had it down to around and just below freezing (with a Xtherm NXT mat). Around 5°C and below it gets a bit chilly but I sleep very cold. I find that it doesn’t absorb water easily and that it dries up quickly if damp from condensation. Packs down reasonably well due to the 850fp down. I do not use their mat or pillow but the quilt and attachment system will be my go to going forward. Had it with me on The Great Outdoors Challenge crossing this year in Scotland and it performed admirably. My only regret is not buying the UL version. It's a great sleeping system if you're a fidgety side sleeper and I love the fact the foot box can be completely opened up into a loose quilt that won't take a midnight walk to the end of my tent thanks to the sheet toggles. However it does have some major drawbacks. It's very expensive for what it is, the sheet prevents the use of thicker high R rated sleeping pads, and most importantly of all it's very bulky due to poor compressibility. The -12°c quilt, full length sheet and pillow stuffed into a S2S 13L compression dry bag doesn't cinch down by much, maybe to about 8.5L. Whereas my Cloud 20 sleeping bag will cinch down to about 3.5L in a 5L dry bag for half the weight and same temperate rating as the Zenbivy Light.

I have had a nemo disco 15 bag, two EE and now a Zenbivy 10 degree light bed with half sheet. The Zenbivy is by far warmer than EE and to the moon and back more comfortable than EE and the Disco. I was skeptical of Zenbivy but it is a quality product. I use a Ultra 3R exped pad for three season and a 5R in cold season.

Look at Zenbivy. Having your feet free is their concept. It is a quilt that connects to you bottom sheet/pad. You can only hook the top and leave feet free or you can hook the sides of the feet but have the bottom open. Or just do one side. It's got lots of options for you to pick what you want. I started off with the Nemo Disco. I’m a side sleeper and that bag allows me to move around without the mummy bag feeling. My son is camping with me so he got that sleeping bag and I upgraded to a Zenbivy. Game changer. Sleeping quilts are awesome and pack down just as well as traditional sleeping bags. Keep an eye out when they go on sale, got my system for 30% off. I got the 0 degree and yeah, if it’s 50 degrees out I have to open it up. At 30 degrees I’m snug as a bug. Haven’t gotten below 30 yet.

I just got the Zenbivy quilt sleep system and love it. Super light and kept me warm all night.

Agreed. As a thrashing side sleeper this bag has been a godsend. It’s super versatile

This is pretty compelling tbh. 1.08kg and packs down to 20cmx20xm. 850 treated down. I’d personally go for a Zenbivy, but honestly I don’t think this looks bad.

I have a disco and its pretty good used it like a quilt so often I ended up going for a quilt, Specifically a zenbivy, its also good, I set it up with one side fixed to the sheet and the other mostly free. Like sleeping in a bed.
