I was the same! I thought it looked blurry and not very vibrant but weirdly I used it again after a long break and it's def alot better and I even looked back at old photos incase I was imagining it. I can't imagine how, but perhaps the app got better and so the printer could print better
r/hobonichi • Update: Portable printer recommendations? ->got a 2x3 and a 4x6, i advice getting the 4x6, the larger format is just nicer
r/Polaroid • Question those who have the Hi-Print! ->Agreed! The quality on the hi-print is much way better than the canon ivy!
r/hobonichi • What’s everyone’s favorite no-ink sticker printers? Looking to liven up my Techo for 2026. ->Hello everyone! Not too long ago I made a post on asking for portable printer recommendations and many of you offered great options! I had previously bought the canon ivy but did not like the picture quality. I decided to go with the Polaroid hi-print! The one on the left is the Polaroid and the one on the right is the canon. The Polaroid definitely beats the canon. It also offers sticky pack prints! Just what I was looking for ☺️ and as you can see it’s slightly bigger. If you’re wondering, the canon ivy does weigh less than the Polaroid. The Polaroid has a little bit more weight to it but it’s nothing to worry about when traveling with it. I’ll be returning the canon ivy and keeping the Polaroid hi-print. Thank you all for your help and recommendations!
r/hobonichi • Update: Portable printer recommendations? ->It definitely is closer to the original image. But I mainly picked the Polaroid for clarity. The canon looks too blurry to me and the colors look like it won’t last long on the sticky paper. Like the quality of the photo looks faded. I’m not sure how the pictures would look with really dark colors. I have a cat myself but I don’t think this pic will give you a good idea how a void will look like 😆 lololol. https://preview.redd.it/b1da5yclusie1.jpeg?width=1576&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=afd7cfad7e6e5c92f586aa7080e478b7d009a95e
r/hobonichi • Update: Portable printer recommendations? ->Unfortunately, it does not. I don’t see options to decorate or even do collages. But I think I’ll just use a separate app to make collages and then print it on the Polaroid.
r/hobonichi • Update: Portable printer recommendations? ->I’m happy with mine as well!
r/hobonichi • Update: Portable printer recommendations? ->I recently got the Polaroid Hi-Print 2x3 photo printer and really like it! I have an Android and use Google Photos. The only issue I've had is that it seems like I have to "forget" the Bluetooth connection and reconnect it each time I want to use it. I don't have that problem with the mini Link that prints photos in the old polaroid style, though, so it seems to just be a quirk. I like both of them!
r/scrapbooking • Best Mini Printer for Google Photos? ->https://preview.redd.it/0q7vzc0ny9nf1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ad02131a5bf5c7e904e4c8fc5783872050755c6f The quality isn’t as good as a professional print but it’s good enough for me
r/minidisc • The Polaroid Hi-Print Pocket Printer isn’t bad as an MD label printer. You can get 2 labels per sheet ->https://preview.redd.it/fglxyxpeau9e1.jpeg?width=3023&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e78dff179f07c91f0d1befd174ae4f17643dfe92 I was just gifted the Polaroid Hi Print 2x3 and I’m knocked out by the quality of the prints; it’s also sleek and easy to handle. I disliked the instax for the reasons OP mentioned. Here’s a hamsa and a print from the Polaroid. Great clarity, even with detail and not much light. The white band at the bottom is where you hold it if you want the photo as a sticker - peels off easily and adheres well. Or you can keep it as a photo. I can only attach one photo per reply - I’ll post one more to show you how it looks on a TN page.
r/Travelersnotebooks • Small photo printer ->I have both and a normal printer. I will admit my favorite way is just a regular printer with sticker/label paper, it’s the thinnest option for me (creating less bulk) and the stickers stick well. I have a blade with a rotating tip so I can get the ‘kiss-cut’ and don’t have to cut with scissors. I travel light so my instant camera (instax sq6) barely sees the light of day so it depends how much you’ll carry it, the film is also quite thick. I’m also a bit eh on the photos and wasted quite some film but i think I just haven’t practiced taking instant photos. Photo printer (I have the Polaroid Hi-Print) is really nice to have so it is the first option when I need a quick pic or 2. They don’t stick very well though in my experience but thats easy to fix and it’s fine after a few days between the pages.
r/Journaling • An instant camera or a photo printer? ->Small correction because i had to rush my comment 😭 I have the Polaroid Hi-print pocket printer, the zip is what I first looked at when i started researching 😅
r/Journaling • An instant camera or a photo printer? ->I have this and like it a lot for journaling. It's dye sublimated and not ZINK, so the colors are true to image and will hold up better over time. It's a digital printer; the photos look like digital photos and not polaroids. They're sharp and vibrant, without the hazy/dreamlike vibe of polaroids. The one thing I do dislike about it is that the sticker adhesive is way too weak. I have to use photo corners to get it to stop peeling off my traveler's notebook pages.
r/Polaroid • Question those who have the Hi-Print! ->Second the Hi-Print! It's my first mini photo printer, and it's been very easy to use
r/Travelersnotebooks • Small photo printer ->I've been using a Polaroid Hi-Print 2x3. I wanted something I could take in my bag to print photos on the go.
r/Travelersnotebooks • Small photo printer ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
