"First off, the sound out of the box is super clear with solid, punchy bass (not muddy at all) ... it sounds awesome as is ... if you’re really into bass, like I am, max out the EQ and it gets that deep thump (with zero distortion, even cranked up)"
"the charge 6 is just a beast for way less money. ... It provides pretty crisp and detailed sound while having a surprising bass response, Especially with some eq."
"the bass on this one is solid. ... It ’s strong, punchy, and doesn’t mess up even at high volume."

"sound is awesome for such a small spkr"
"I have been testing the charge 6 recently and it digs pretty deep. Not like the xtreme4, but surprisingly well for its size. ... I just want it for the 50-60hz bass it let's out lol"

"unlike the jbls after 70% the jbls dsp kicks in and compresses low to low mid frequencies to help reduce distortion and keep clarity"
"the preset dsp will compress and compress the signal the more you mess with the eq"
"I dont really want to listen to the charge up close.. I find the JBL to sound pretty distorting"

"Vocals compared to other speakers, even Bose, are dull."
"Vocals sounded much clearer, more lifelike, on it [SoundLink Plus]."
Get a charge 6 trust, more power and db plus bigger drivers they are larger by a few mm in length and width.
r/JBL • Should I buy a flip 7? ->I'm a huge jbl fan boy but this is where I disagree the new flip 7 I belive has 35 or 40 watts and the charge 6 has 45 most bookshelf speakers are 20 to 50 watts per enclosure even with the bookshelves being at the minmum it still can be pushed to its max without compressing unlike the jbls after 70% the jbls dsp kicks in and compresses low to low mid frequencies to help reduce distortion and keep clarity unlike bookshelves where you can push them and push them with keeping the spl of all frequencies somewhat the same and when distortion happens guess what just dial back the gain a bit , pair that with components that are designed to have a flat frequency response and an amp with lets say a 12 band eq or even a 6 band eq and now you have a fully customizable sound stage and eq, now let's argue yes the new jbl gens do have a 12 band eq but not only does jbls amp have a preset eq and dsp but much like the partyboost I bet you when the auracast is active it will turn off custom eqs to keep the fr the same through both enclosures yes you have system eqs on Android and there are apps that let you controll the signals eq but either way the preset dsp will compress and compress the signal the more you mess with the eq unlike vintage equipment or bookshelf speakers in general they not only have flat response drivers but they have an actual enclosure not just for increased fr but spl aswell. You have to think about it too both enclosures are for a completely different purpose. The cheapest hifi system will blow two flip 6s or charge 6s out of the water no doubt maybe not in db but most definitely in quality of sound and low to subsonic fr. Now let's say op were to get two jbl bb3s now you are talking that's something that will contest with most bookshelf speakers or hifi systems, sure you won't have that flat response but the bb3 is pretty wide (in the fr) and has a a 3 way setup that's an effecient setup especially when put into stereo mode now you have two mids two tweeters and a dedicated sub for the left and right channel now that's gonna blow this setup out the water. Jbl definitely does have hifi components but not on their small to mid sized portable speakers like for example idk if anyone else feels like this but jbls (samsung, harman Kardon) drivers tuning is very high pitched with sub bass and low mids? Even on the mid woofers it lacks detail and the tweeters have to much presence.
r/JBL • Should I buy a flip 7? ->105db? Thats complete bullshit, i got a jbl charge 6 louder and that clocks at 101,3db(A) and for the 250$ price tag it has worse specs/performance then a charge 6/5. It has worse SPL, worse clarity, worse battery, and worse bass response although durability is mostly equal as far as i have abused both (ranger and charge 6).
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Turtle Box Ranger ->105db? Thats complete bullshit, i got a jbl charge 6 louder and that clocks at 101,3db(A) and for the 250$ price tag it has worse specs/performance then a charge 6/5. It has worse SPL, worse clarity, worse battery, and worse bass response although durability is mostly equal as far as i have abused both (ranger and charge 6).
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Turtle Box Ranger ->Bose soundlink flex 2 has great bass for on the go. Especially for it's size. If you play with the eq in the bose app and put it in the corner. It sounds way bigger that it's size. Earfun Uboom X is also great. Its larger but almost the same price as the bose. The bass on it is fantastic. Devialet Mania is an wonderful sounding speaker. Big bass, great highs, and a big price haha 😉 Jbl flip 7 or charge 6 are great for outdoor usage.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Smallest BT speaker with Best Bass response? ->I mean for the big speakers a partybox 210 is like okay (also speakers of the same size usually sound very similar), 310 is the best for medium sized rooms and anything above is practically not needed. For the medium sized ones, a boombox 3, charge 4/5/6 are pretty good cost/sound sound variants. For the smaller/little ones it's hard to choose, since you usually can't get much bass out of them. I chose mine by the specs and knowledge. JBL has been around for years and has developed a pretty huge ecosystem of syncing tws clear sounding speakers. Although they're pretty pricey, I think most of their speakers are worth it. How to choose: Ratings/comments under product Specs (Size, wattage and speaker range. The lower it goes, the better it usually is.) Price: must not be overpriced. The less rgb the lower the price (usually (not talking about partyboxes rn))
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • The Best Bluetooth Speaker Right Now? Recommendation? ->The Motion Boom is significantly more powerful than the Charge. That's right. I've listened to both speakers several times in comparison with each other.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • JBL Charge 6 vs Soundcore Boom 2 ->The boom 2 has a bigger woofer , extra tweeter , and nearly double the wattage so naturally bass will be better and vocals will be louder on it. It’s also a stereo setup compared to mono from the JBL. That being said i absolutely love my charge 6
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • JBL Charge 6 vs Soundcore Boom 2 ->What do you mean with portability? Able to transport it with a car? Able to place it with other stuff in a bagpack? Able to carry it on a cart like a fridge? Also depends on where you’d use it and how you’d use it. Obviously, those portable ones (to just fit with your stuff in the backpack), you won’t get dance floor thundering bass and rather a good background sound for a gathering with a few friends. If it’s for the backpack style (cause that’s what I’d consider portable) I wouldn’t go bigger than Jbl charge 6 size. Different brands have different signature sounds. I really like jbls, and the newer Sonys. Pretty much any soundcore speaker and Tribit and so on that I had in my hand, I wanted to tune them over their equalizer cause I didn’t like there profiles (I remember them as muffled) Sony field 1 is a great portable and sounds good. Same for flip 7 and charge 6. also worth looking at features other than sound and robustness. Soundcore motion 300 also one I remember with a really nice sound. From what I heard, if you go for a Jbl charge size speaker, looking at the difference to the next bigger one like Jbl xtreme or soundcore boom size, I would say the sound difference can be named almost irrelevant. There is more bass, yes, but not enough worth mentioning to me. So I’d say go either flip / charge size for spontaneously taking to shower and back, outdoors in your backpack, or Jbl boombox size if it has to be taken sometimes by car and needs a big bass for a lil dance round.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Looking For a Speaker with Excellent Sound Quality and Good Bass and Battery Life ->Yeah that's my issue ; really wanna just get the 6 because of the quality, not the BS but now seeing the Soundcores are louder , idk if I should just get an Encore instead of wait and actually get a nice Bookshelf pair for my player.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Help me choose the BEST portable speaker (BASE on your own experience) ->Oh absolutely 💯💯💯 That's why I was alluding to that instead of getting the charge 6 like I've been planning too but now that I've seen the soundcore does go louder. I mindswell spend the extra whatever for the encore with the %20 off it's not much more but again at that price point I really need to just get some speakers for my table
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Help me choose the BEST portable speaker (BASE on your own experience) ->Ult 5 is really good but not great portability wise, it's a bit of a brick. The Xtreme is bulky too but a bit more convenient. Charge is the best by far for transport. I found the Ult 5 bass really lacking, especially for the size. Xtreme blows it away, and the Ults only marginally better than the Charge. Sound quality is great still Id say the Xtreme is the best, but the Charge if portability is a big factor.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Sony ULT Field 5 (€150) vs JBL Xtreme 4 (€280) vs JBL Charge 6 (€150–170) – help me choose my upgrade from an old XB41! ->The Boom is almost twice the height and 50% heavier. That would have taken a fair bit of space in your suitcase and it's a whole different concept fitting it in a large suitcase v a small backpack. Like I said, anything can be portable but some things are much more convenient than others. I do agree it sounds incredible however. I own both and for ease of use I'd only travel with the charge
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • JBL Charge 6 vs Soundcore Boom 2 ->Just the weight and size, especially in comparison to the Charge. It depends on what you define as portable however. For me it's being able to easily slip it in a backpack and hold it with one hand. The boom is a bit too big for that but it's definitely still transportable to some extent
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • JBL Charge 6 vs Soundcore Boom 2 ->Great for the room. Deep big bass. Can have a muddy sound which you can EQ if you’d like. But good volume and presence
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Hownis charge 6 for room use? ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
